It's a small place that you can very easily drive by. In fact, I did, but only once. It's in…read moremixed-use development, with businesses on the ground floors of some buildings and apartments up top. The first couple times I turned down this road, I was certain the directions were wrong, because it looks so residential. But never fear. There's even parking, usually. Mr Park has a small shop with a few display cases showing off rings, bracelets, and other jewelry. Lots of sparkles. There are a few old-fashioned mantle clocks (I have kind of a thing for these), and a few miscellaneous other decorative items. Signs say he buys gold. He sits at a workbench behind the cases, and seems to do a steady business in watch and clock repair. I brought in a new watch I'd gotten for Christmas that needed links added to the band. Off-the-shelf watches are always too small for my meathead wrists. He didn't happen to stock extra links, but I got a few from the customer service department of the watch manufacturer. He got right to work the second I came in, and tapped it all together while I sat in his one chair. $10 to take a watch I couldn't even fit over my hand and turn it into something I can wear comfortably whenever I want. It took him maybe 5 minutes. Mr Park isn't the chattiest person you've ever met. He didn't even shoot the breeze with me at all until he was ringing me out. But he's a friendly, nice guy once the work is done. Watch and clock people always seem to be hyper-focused, from what little I know. Given how much more he smiled after tuning up my watchband, I think that might be his vibe. I have a mantle clock that doesn't always run and I think I might be back here to tune that up when I think of it.

I said that seemed low. He told me most of everything was 10k. I said that I wanted to go to other places to compare prices. He suddenly went up to 11k and started pressuring me to take the offer and said if I leaved, his price would go down. He started saying "do you want a check?". I felt very uncomfortable and left. I went directly to Seattle Gold. They tested everything and said almost all of it was 14k and even 18k. They gave me 12k. This owner is a conman. He thought he could get away with 8k on jewelry that was worth 12k. BEWARE!!!!

I was surprised: those tiny garnets were priced ridiculously high, but he suddenly accepted about 30% of that price. I told him I needed to go get the cash, and that really seemed to piss him off. (Who doesnt like being paid in cash?) He scolded me like a kid and told me not to make an offer if I couldn't buy it right then and there. I explained to him that it would take 20 minutes to get the cash and I would be right back, and he said OK, but he was completely rude from then on and didn't try to hide it. If I'm buying jewelry, I don't like buying from people like this guy. Its an investment and there should be trust, which is why its nice to build a good relationship with your seller. I got the cash and returned to the store -- looking for my earrings. But they were GONE! He had packed them up in a box to move somewhere, even though they don't close for another three hours, and even though he KNEW I was coming back for THOSE earrings. I had even specifically confirmed that he would give them to me for that price when I returned. Nope! Wouldn't even let me buy them. That was the only display box that he packed up. There's more. His wife is very nice, but as she showed me a necklace, he scolded me as if I were stealing. I said thanks and got the heck out. Bad vibes, bad customer service. Bottom line, I'm never coming back here. I buy jewelry from people I trust to be transparent, respectful, and who don't force a decision in 30 seconds or less. It's one thing if you're not really buying anything, but I was there to buy. If you're buying pawned jewelry, you need time to examine it, otherwise you'll probably end up spending too much on a synthetic gem. If you're looking for a wonderful, FRIENDLY jewelry pawn shop with equally high-end merchandise at better prices, run by a VERY nice family, go to Onix Jewelry instead. In fact, I went there after I left Aboud Jewelry and bought 18k gold studs with natural blue sapphire....for $100!!! Tony at Onix is always happy to negotiate. Also, it's 2 minutes away from Aboud Jewelry. Spend your money there and get more value and nicer service.

Thankfully, I decided to bring it to Seattle Fine Jewelry for a second opinion. The owner, Ramir, his son Jordan, and their staff member Kaitlyn were absolutely wonderful. From the moment I walked in, they were warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and completely transparent about the repair process. Not only were they able to fix my watch, but the turnaround time was surprisingly quick. I also had my favorite diamond ring cleaned ("The Manicure" treatment) and wow, the results were remarkable. It came back incredibly sparkly and shiny, like it had been brought back to life. What really stood out to me was the atmosphere. Everyone was professional yet fun and welcoming, which made the entire experience enjoyable instead of stressful. Their prices are reasonable, parking is easy right up front, and the quality of service is top-notch. It's rare to find a business that combines skill, honesty, and genuine customer care like this. Saying I was happy with the option to use a clasp as opposed to a weld shows the lack of awareness. I was not thrilled but had promised my 8 year old and drove 30 min for the appointment so felt stuck. Very quickly after I initially contacted you with concerns, my daughter's bracelet fell off and was unfortunately lost. You offered to re-weld mine but about a week later prior to being able to even consider making arrangements to come back for a re-weld mine also fell off and I've been unable to locate it. The reason for this review now is because Yelp suggested your establishment, and yes I would still be bothered when I spent $100 on now missing jewelry shortly after purchase. I've since had a new one placed on myself without ANY issues. It's welded very strongly. And I got my daughter a bracelet with a clasp that is age appropriate and it's remained on through school, sports and normal 8 year old activities without issue. Sorry to upset you with factual details of your products and services. Your clasp was obviously subpar as was your welding skills. Why would I come back to have you weld it again when your welding abilities didn't last even a month? I suggest kindly touching grass. Original review: Got a "permanent" bracelet that fell off within the month. Should have just ordered a bracelet elsewhere. They clearly don't know how to weld correctly. The result is a very nice looking gold ring that is made up of my families gold and has my grandmothers wedding diamond in it. A "refurbished" Seiko Alpinist. $188.00, $50 in shipping, $34 in tariff fees, (thank you very little you know who). I knew it was a gamble. It gained four or five minutes per hour. I hoped an adjustment or some work could at least make the watch serviceable. Walked into ARC, no appointment. Kelsy greeted me, directed me to Masami, who stopped his work to look at my watch, he politely identified it as a counterfeit, and said he would adjust the watch (NO CHARGE) to make it as good as it could be. "Would you mind waiting 15 minutes, sir?" What, really?! While Masami adjusted my Fakeo, Kelsy showed me about ten watches that I liked, (an hour), answered my questions, had great acumen, demeanor, and professional poise without projecting attitude or qualifying me, treated me like I was the only one in the store, and confirmed a thing or two she wasn't 100% sure of. Excellent. I don't trust anyone who claims to know everything. I wound up buying a beautiful and very reasonably priced (less than $350 out the door) Seiko and identified another that I will buy in the future. IT GETS BETTER! I asked Masami if installing new guts in my Fakeo would be a good idea, as I don't care about the status, I just like the looks of the watch and want it to keep time. He said he could do that, gave me an estimate, and said that just buying the authentic model would be a better financial path for the long term. I agreed. Always buy the best quality you can afford. Also, as I was checking out, I saw a watch that was beautiful, but redundant, with respect to my purchase, and as I asked a question about the band, Kelsy, being honest, wasn't quite positive about the answer... So one of the store owners, overhearing, (sorry I cannot recall her name and spelling), came over and explained the details to answer my question! AND she interrupted an in person interview to do so! AMAZING. So, the price of an education in a field where money can chase unlimited ends was, for me, a value and a lesson learned for not a disasterous price. And, I found a business that I can TRUST, and recommend. Readers, this is where you should take your watch, engraving and timepiece repair needs. When my budget permits, I will be back at ARC WATCH WORKS to get an authentic replacement for my Fakeo.

The parts I supplied were not perfect and Sam was able to modify them so I could end up with my desired end goal. Removing the bezel from the duro is notoriously difficult, and some say impossible without damage to the watch but he was able to complete it (old bezel was bent but that's expected). Very happy to recommend their workshop but please call ahead to see if they are willing to accept the request.

Worst experience ever. I took my wedding ring in to ask if it was even possible to resize it (since it is very dainty), the man told me he would ask the jeweler what they thought and went into the back. When he came back out my ring was already cut apart. I almost burst into tears. I was not ready to resize it, did not even have the money to do it then and only wanted to know HOW it could be done without bending the dainty bands. (Several other jewelers told me this would be an issue). They tried to charge me $40 to fix it, and then decided to do it for free since I was so upset. When I came back to pick it up it was poorly constructed. Totally ruined the structural integrity by bending the bands (making it even larger than they said they would). I met with the owner and he told me I only had two options: Take $60 as compensation, or have them buy my ring for what I paid for it. Absolutely absurd. They ended up writing me a check for half of what I paid for the ring, but it was like pulling teeth to get that. They RUINED my wedding ring ENTIRELY without my permission or knowledge and still put up a fight and tried to take advantage of me. WORST customer service I have ever experienced. The owner in the Mill Creek branch, Tod, the other employees and the jeweler were all horribly rude and barely even apologized. They assured me that was the best they could do, which is mind blowing since I have cause to take them to small claims court over the mistake THEY made. You would think they would want to protect their business or show common decency. I am totally heartbroken. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this place. UPDATE: The shop owner, Tod, called me after reading my reviews, while I was on my honeymoon, and asked if we could make a deal indicating that he would give me the remaining money that my ring was worth (which was originally promised by the employees when the mistake was made) in exchange for me removing my online reviews. I assured him that I was not comfortable making ANY deals regarding taking down my review, or writing a positive one. Per his request, I emailed him my information with another disclaimer stating that I would ONLY edit my reviews to tell the full story (that by giving me the full promised compensation for their damage done to my ring, they did all they could do to fix their mistake). Tod did not even reply to my email, and instead posted defensive and misleading comments on all of my reviews. Classy. To address a few of the lies in his comments, I would like to mention that my ring was not handled by any other jewelers prior to the Jewelry Source ruining it. I had emailed the original creator to ask about resizing but had not received a reply at the time. I also brought my ring into ShaneCo earlier that day and they told me they were not comfortable working on it at all. I happened to be in the area and stopped by the Jewelry Source just to inquire. They did not have me fill out a slip to begin working on it, nor did they have my permission, or correct ring size. They did not even tell me how much it would cost, or ask if I was ready to begin. My husband and I were told by the employee that he was going to ASK the jeweler if it was even possible. That was it. No permission given, no request given. That is something that the employee Michael confirmed when he said that "the jeweler jumped the gun on this". They sized my ring way larger than promised, which according to the jeweler who CREATED the ring, completely compromised its structural integrity. This company's efforts are better spent demonstrating true care for their customers by admitting their mistake, instead of trying to pretend it didn't happen. read more

I have been shopping and have had repairs done at Jewelry Source for many years since before they relocated to Mill Creek. Just purchased another ring. I have always been treated well and love Maria, Barb, Todd, Kurt and Jack! They are AMAZING! The selection of beautiful, unique and Estate pieces are amazing and can't be found in other Jewelry stores. They take pride in treating their clients with a great deal of care and respect. My wife and I went in to get an opinion on if it was possible to get her wedding ring resized, having been told by two reputable jewelers that it would likely damage the dainty ring to resize it. To our surprise, they cut the ring and started to resize it before getting our consent, before informing us how much it would cost, and before filling out any paperwork. We of course were not willing to pay for work that we did not ask for, and after talking with the owner we were not pleased with the outcome. Nor have we been pleased with The Jewelry Source going to great lengths to remove or discredit my wife's reviews. Only one bad review from my wife was not enough to express our disgust with this whole experience, so I am leaving one too. read more

My wife had donated some of my old families jewelry that I had been saving for over 50 years. When I found out about it I was quite upset as was she when she realized what she had done. She said she would buy me some "replacement" jewelry to which I gave her a "NO THANK YOU". She came to your store anyway and purchased a very nice gift for me. I admit it was quite beautiful and I understand her loving thoughts behind it. When I went to return it, I found there was a restocking fee. I understand why, but Todd waved it due to the circumstances. I will recommend everyone to shop here. Their quality of jewelry is high and their customer service is the best. I brought in my wedding ring to fix the prongs and clean up the ring. They found a lot of things wrong with the ring and I had them fix everything . They did a great job and the ring looks like new but it was very expensive (over $1000). Since they had made the ring for me originally I trusted them to fix it, but I never checked with any other jewelry stores to see if the cost to fix it was in the ball park, less or more than others, so my fault. read more

I work in Bothell and Cody works in downtown Seattle, so we had to take time away from work just to come by. I thought we got great service at first from sales associate Sara. But there has been zero follow up. We went in looking for an engagement ring and wedding band. We brought in Cody's mom's old ring to see if we can reuse the diamonds in it for a new setting. Sara even took all the measurements of the diamonds. I tried on a few bands, told her what we were looking for and she said she will do her research and contact us with what she finds. Cody and I don't know much about pricing, cost of diamonds, and just rings in general. So we mentioned we wanted to keep it around a certain price, and she said ok. But now I feel like we might have given too low of a price hence why there's been no follow up? If so though, she should have educated us more about the stone cost while we were in the store. She took down both our names and phone numbers, asked if she could text us, and we said yes. No follow through whatsoever. We really wanted to buy from a local jeweler and support local business. But apparently they don't want our business. We stopped by here on Friday 7/12 btw, its been over 2 weeks, so we have given them plenty of time to contact us.

We bought multiple pieces and they even resized them for us on the spot. While we were there, I asked about jewelry repairs and they said they can also help! So I came back today to get my wedding set resized because I lost a lot of weight recently (thanks ozempic!) and I am just so happy with the finished product. I was advised to actually not resize the ring as it could impact my setting, so they gave me another solution to add some "resizing beads" on the inside of the ring. It really did the trick and it was finished really well. They even buffed out/ polished some scratches I had on the outside of my band, too! I am really impressed with the quality of the jewelry and the integrity of the shop. I'll continue to come here for any repairs I need, or on fun shopping days when I'm looking for something new!

She had driven by Elegant Gems several times and decided to stop in for an estimate. When she came home, she told me about this little shop on 5th with this really nice fellow that KNOWS ALOT about gems and such. He did give her an estimate of the repair and explained the issues clearly. I then decided to up the anty and surprise her with a bigger diamond, so I snuck down and met with Brent. He showed me three different options and clearly explained the different grades, handing out a very gentle re-education to loose stones. I decided on one and the ring turned out just stellar and best of all, my wife went all nuts. This was perfect on so many levels and Brent's simply the best.
