If only 'The Joint Chiropractic' with offices in Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Washington disclosed this ahead of time. They told me it was $79 for initial sign up month with 4 services. They provided an additional 3 services, which I did not have time to fit into my schedule. This is at the Illinois location. So you're basically being charged for services that were not provided. Check your bank statement monthly when signing on. I called in to discuss this matter and the receptionist mention they would be able to refund me for the remaining months, with the initial and second month charged $108+79. When I went to their office, they told me they could only return one month. So I paid for four months without any service. The owners, Gordon and Marvin Thornton, should reteach their receptionist. They would get more money and returning satisfactory customers, rather than selling at a fraud and forcing people donate to the office. They even provided me a pamphlet that states my services ended 3/11/2023, when I signed on 2/13/2023. Yet they still continuous charged me until June, and am still attempting to cancel with them. I came in, having never seen a Chiropractor before, to address some intense jaw pain and tension. Was greeted with absolute warmth from Alexis behind the counter (so kind and helpful) and was swiftly seen by Dr. Fish. Being new to this I didn't know what to expect but I felt like I was in great hands (no pun intended) with Dr. Fish. Before we got cracking (that pun was intended) he talked me through the practice, defined where issues typically arise and stem from, and what we'd be working on in my case. The consultation includes an examination and adjustment of the back as well- which I didn't expect. If you're like me (24 and never once had enormous sounds of cracking emanate from the body) mentally prep for that. But Dr. Fish went through the process patiently and offered easily digestible information so I knew exactly what was happening and could efficiently catalog his findings for my knowledge. You can tell that he cares about what he does and what experience you receive- which is a great quality in someone who's cracking your neck :-) Overall I feel like I came in knowing what was wrong but now I have validation, vocabulary to define the issue, and a plan to rehabilitate. They were great systematically and cheap. I really did like the guy who I worked with. I was in major back pain and was referred a different place but got a voice mail. I looked on here, great reviews. This place has fantastic prices, for sure. It helped the day my pain was insane. I went the next day and it got worse after. Went two days later and they would not work on me and said get a mri. You have to get an xray first, did that, but then got a call from the referral I waited on who does acupuncture, chiropractor, among other things, this guy made it better instantly, at first cut in half, 5 days later, pain gone, but came back couple days later, 5 days after that it went away came back 4-5 days later mildly. Evelyn the receptionist was very dry and emotionless who spoke in a very condescending manner. The first time I when in I though nothing of if. But twice now she rude when ask for her name she ask why is there a problem to which I reply yes the problem is your rude. This location is terribly unprofessional and rude and doesn't appear to care about their patients. I came to this location today for an adjustment. There was a sign regarding COVID and requiring a mask. This was reasonable so I put it on. There was also a sign with some health questions such as do you have a fever etc. also reasonable. The front desk person greeted me with her hand over her mouth not wearing a mask. Ok. I'll play along so I lowered my mask. She started asking me the same questions I saw on the sign. I told her if she was asking me the same questions I saw on the sign that all the answers were no. She looked at me and said she had to ask the questions and I had to answer them. That was rude but ok I'll play along because I needed an adjustment. I saw Dr Fish. He greeted me with a couple questions and started the adjustments on my middle back area. I have been getting adjusted for over 30 years by more than 10 doctors of chiropractic. His first adjustment was so fast and violent that I saw stars and felt pain and told him to stop. I was in pain and didn't feel right. I got up to walk around and shake it off. I told the doctor that I was done and didn't want to continue the adjustment. I walked back to the front and asked Miss sunshine at the front desk for the doctors card because I didn't remember his name. She told me she didn't have his card. I asked her to get his card for me. She said something under her breath and walked away and said "I don't need to take this". The doctor walked up front and gave me his card. I asked him what the girls name was and he said he wasn't sure because she was new and only worked one day a week. The doctor never asked if I was ok or expressed any concern about my condition. I asked the doctor for the phone number to their regional or national office so I could complain. He didn't have a number handy and told me he would call me with the number. About an hour later I got a phone call from the owner named Jim. He was unprofessional and rude and told me he already got the story of what happened from his staff. I told him I would just talk to the national office to complain. Him told me they will just have him handle the complaint so don't bother. I told Jim I didn't want to talk to him and would just file a complaint. He said "good luck with that" and laughed. I will follow up with the office in AZ to get resolution on this issue. read more

I generally DON'T trust 5 star online reviews. Ratings that seem too perfect strike me as cheap internal attempts by employers to save face for the company. However, The Joint Chiropractic deserves 5 stars and then some! This is an affordable agency for the everyday person with no hidden fees, etc. No appointment is ever needed, even for the 1st consultation and they move patients along with an in and out flow between proper adjustments. My posture has greatly improved and I physically see and feel the difference in past pics and walking upright vs. lunging forward. They're also a nationwide chain if anyone plans to relocate and the procedures aren't painful if 1st timers are nervous. These are pros who know when and where to "Snap". read more

A coworker recommended The Joint as I was having extreme shoulder pain and stiffness the past few weeks and it became unbearable. I'm not one for regular appointments, I want in, get fixed and out! I forget the dr.'s name that I saw, he said he was filling in for the regulars, but he was great! He cracked my whole body, I usually get a crack here and there but that's it. I felt instant relief in the bad side and a little pain in the other for the night. Woke up this morning and I feel 85% better which I will take after one visit!! Very smooth and remarkable experience :D A friend and I were referred to go to this location for the $29 initial visit deal they have/had going on; sounded like such an exceptional bargain that we decided to go that same day after learning about her experience :) Got there, met with a friendly greeting and a hand-shaking introduction to the desk staff, and filled out some detailed paperwork about your case. Yeah, paperwork usually does suck, and I was already exhausted from not getting enough sleep the night before, but for some reason, I WANTED to fill out all the paper work so that I had a good reference to discuss with the doctor. They had a new patient in right before us, so the fine takes longer, as the doctor discusses a lengthy evaluation and synopsis of the process, so our wait time was a little longer than anticipated, but it wasn't a problem; the establishment was air conditioned, so smart phone tapping we waited :) Our turn came, and he lengthy discussion ensued! The doctor demonstrated video footage of himself giving adjustments to crying infants and essentially lulling them RIGHT to sleep with his magical chiropractic abilities~ it was quite impressive. Dr. Troy and the other are so great. I have been using "The Joint" for 5 years now, I average a visit a week. I find keeping myself in structural alignment highly reduces other issues (aches and pains) I used to have. I also love that "The Joint" is expanding around the country. I love The Joint. I've been to locations in Illinois, Missouri, and California. While each location/doctor is slightly different, they are all exceptional -- nice, knowledgeable, and super helpful. Chiropractic care is essential in my opinion. Just try to relax and let you body move however it wants to given the force they apply (if you fight it, you could slightly hurt the muscles you use while trying to fight the movement). They fixed an nerve issue I was having that caused my hand to warm; they also relieved neck and back pain/tightness. You need to keep going for an extended period of time, especially if you continue doing the things which are messing up your alignment (like driving and working at a desk, etc.). read more

Plus, the rates are very affordable. I have been going to The Joint Chiropractic on a regular basis, since November 2015. Primarily, I go to two locations: The State Street location (close to work) and the Elston and Logan location (close to home). At State Street I see Dr. Jason Mehess, who is a skilled doctor and adjuster. He is interested in the well-being of all of his patients and he often follows up a day after my appointment to check on my progress. At the Elston and Logan location I see Dr. Dale Dunn, who provides deep tissue work, as well as adjustments. Since April, I've continually gone for my weekend appointments for regular adjustments by Dr. Derrick, who I highly recommend. He's professional and truly has a desire to help the well being of others who are need of chiropractic care. I'd like to preface by saying that, I've been to 4 different locations of The Joint in multiple cities so, I'm very familiar with the company. This is hands down the best location that I've been to! I am still on the fence on how much I believe in the theories behind chiropractic relief but, this is the best experience I've had yet. The staff is very nice and friendly, and there are always multiple therapists there so the waits aren't very long. They make detailed notes on your visits so that every time they can pick up exactly where you left off. This is probably my favorite part because there is nothing more annoying than having to continuously re-explain the same thing to different people. They offer a monthly membership which is a really good deal if you're committed to going regularly, the membership was $70 and it comes with 4 adjustments a month (they have a promo for 3 bonus adjustments your first month), then any adjustments after your allotment is only $10 as opposed to the $40 non members pay.
