I decided to try a different The Joint location, closer to my home than work, and found that the South Gate location worked for me. Absolutely loved this location. Wait time in lobby was pretty quick and once I saw the doctor he actually took time to asses me and leave comments about a previous femur fracture I had that my previous doctor did not note. I will definitely keep coming to this location, the doctor needed not even 3 min to note i favored my left side due to previous injury. Cant wait for my next adjustment. read more

Today was my first time coming in, and Dr. David really really helped me out. He told me thinking about my body that I did not know and gave me the steps that were needed to take to help me. This place is great! Decided to come here last week. My husband was having severe back pain and could barely stand straight and on his own at the moment. With several adjustments during the week by Dr. Nick he is now feeling better. The pain has seemed to decrease by alot and is now able to stand on his own and his posture has also gotten better. Just purchased the $69 package. I had the worst neck and shoulder pain. I felt like everything was swollen and tense. As soon as the Dr. started adjusted my spine I felt the release of tension. But when he adjusted my neck and I heard that crack! Omggg!!! Best feeling EVER! I felt the tense and swelling went away right away. I could move my neck without feeling like I was pulling a nerve. My husband & I went here from a referral of a co worker& friend of his Marco .so today after dropping our girls at school August 31,18 .He wants to get my neck ,back & shoulder pain checked on .I've suffering with rightside neck &spine pain ,shoulder,back pain constant sciatica pain of the rightside. Well after having my neck,back adjusted, I feel much better i was able to sleep .especially without tossing &turning all night . I do not recommend this place for anyone looking for a real chiropractor. The receptionist didn't even know what a electrical nerve stimulation is. The Joint just does basic 3 minute adjustments and nothing else. They also are not very good at keeping appointments. I called the day before notifying them of the time I will be coming in knowing that an appt. is not necessary, but I wanted to make sure the staff was available. The receptionist informed me that time slot was fine and even offered to call me for a reminder, which I declined. The day of the my "appointment", I showed up and they told me to come back because the doctor wants to go on his lunch break. The staff asked the doctor twice to see me, but the doc, sitting grumpily in his small office, refused, requiring the staff to ask me to come back after their lunch break. That kind of service really blows my mind and not in the positive way to say the least. I will not be coming back nor do I think it's worth it when wanting a real chiropractic experience. read more

First time we walked in the receptionist was super nice very helpful (wish I new her name. Extra star just for her.) scheduled and appointment for my husband at 5:30pm. Handed us the paperwork so we would be able to get in quicker. My husband goes the day of his appointment only to find out that they wouldn't take him because their system was down. Fine understandable but annoying cause time and gas were wasted. Schedules him for the next day same time. Mind you 5:30 is the latest appointment but they close at 7. Now my husband gets out of work at around that time so we haul ass to damn place for them to say we don't take new patients at 5:30 plus you're late and it's not fair to other customers. (The place was empty) (different receptionists btw) not really their fault cause it was the doc who turned my husband away. (Wish I knew his name). Basically our time and gas were wasted for nothing TWICE. And my husbands back is still in pain. Thanks for nothing "Doc". read more

12/22 update-- ok so maybe I was a little harsh so I'm updating my review to 3 stars, instead of 1, specially because the other day I was in and told the Dr my neck specially hurt that day and he took the time to do an extra massage and apply lotion to ease my pain. Also because after my review they froze my account and reached out to me and offered to cancel it.... My neck and shoulders need a lot of help so I'll be sticking around. ------------ This place seemed promising at first due to its concept but it turned out to be a BIG mistake for me. They told me that for $49 per month for 6 months, I could come for an adjustment 4 times per MONTH... What they failed to clarify is that it's NOT per month it's PER CYCLE. I went in today 11/9 and it turns out that my cycle resets every 12th.... So I explained to the receptionist that I didn't know this and since I had driven 30 minutes out just to come in and considering that it was 3 days out, would it be possible to use one of my four for the following CYCLE today instead. The poor thing looked totally confused (obvious lack of training in customer service which is not her fault) and replied "We can't do that but I can have the manager call you"... Not sure how that was supposed to solve my problem today but OK! Sadly, this is not my first bad experience here, the second time I went in after I signed up, it turns out that "the Dr was running late" and the same receptionist had no idea how much longer he was going to be... So that was another trip wasted for me. read more

For the past year I have been coming to both the South Gate & Downey locations for help with my back issues. Thanks to Dr. Himes for not only adjusting me but for working out a plan of care and now I am finally back to normal. I love coming in to the offices where all the girls are so friendly and make you feel at home. Thanks to Leslie and Angie for always being genuine and caring about my health as well. Shout out to Dr. Kevin for seeing me too. I now make it a habit to include my adjustment 1-2 a week into my routine. Definitely have felt a huge difference in my life all around. Do not go here. I signed up for their services and they cracked my back which took about 5 minutes to do and they put me on a monthly plan. Their contract is not fair at all. You have to cancel a month before or else they will charge you for the whole month. I did not go for 2 months but they still charge me $120. The management refused to give me a refund and they did not treat me nicely. Overall I'm very disappointed and I don't like to write negative reviews but because they treated me this way, I would say go somewhere else. read more

Another very professional doctor, Dr. Jaime is fantastic. He is very knowledgeable in his work and depending on what you need adjusted, he will refer to his medical book of exercises and will focus on the area you need help with and surrounding areas. He gave me at home stretching exercises for my pelvic flexors. Staff is great as well. read more
