I had seen a different Chiropractic Doctor in Livermore who made an insane care plan and whose fees were outrageous. I thought that I would not be able to "afford" chiropractic care. My back had been hurting for a couple of weeks and it was just getting worse so I decided to try going to a chiropractor. I drove by and saw a sign on their window for an adjustment and consultation. From the first phone call I felt like I would be comfortable here. You won't need to make an appointment, it takes literally 2 seconds to check-in, and there is usually no wait. I think the longest I have waited has been less than 5 minutes. I like that I can stop by and get adjusted quickly and be on my way. I love that my back is feeling so much better. Being an Event rider (horses) really takes a toll on your body especially when you have 1000 plus pounds of animal with its own mind under your 125 lb body. I'm always in need of chiropractic help. Most often my horses gets it more then I do because scheduling for myself. I had a fall and my previous chiropractor was closed. I read the reviews on The Joint and thier doctors. If you love your chiro it's hard to go somewhere else but with the reviews and being in a lot of pain and I walked right in to give them a try. Best life choice I have made in a long time. I was adjusted better then ever and given instructions on icing and exercises to help my body heal faster. They went above and beyond with magnetic therapy and taking the time to explain what I need to do to keep my body in tip top shape. My last chiro adjusted me and said I will see you tomorrow, which that never happened with my schedule. Ironic, I do all these things for my horses and I know better. The team at Joint is spot on with knowledge, compassion and are down right amazing!! Plus if you have busy schedule like me, walk in and having an expert there 6 days a week is a god send. Dr Campbell is great, I couldn't straighten my arm from holding a power tool in an odd position. I showed him the problem, he adjusted my elbow and I was amazed to be back to normal all within a couple hours! Glad to have found him and a affordable monthly plan to help stay healthy. read more

I've been dealing with severe neck pain for several years. The pain was so bad that sometimes I couldn't get out of bed. Thanks to The Joint Chiropractic I no longer have that intense pain. I'm a swim instructor, special needs camp counselor, and a very busy family life. I'm an EMT student, and know the whole ergonomics thing... But I didn't have that knowledge in the past and have a few extra injuries. Being in the EMT course, I'm in love with what gets thrown at me, but I find I have difficulty moving afterwards. I'm in the third week of chiropractic care with Dr. Campbell, and I find that I'm sore after adjustments, but I'm left with a good feeling of soreness and I am ultimately able to move better. Which is extremely beneficial since I am increasing my physical activities. As for insurance, I've got it, but the copayment is more per adjustment and I only get about 20 adjustments per year. So unless I need to see a extremely specialized chiropractor for a specific issue, I plan to stay with the Joint. I don't plan to switch anytime soon considering I've found a chiropractor who happens to be able to stand what stories I come in with each adjustment! Thanks guys! read more

Doctor Campbell and staff have really helped me live a pain free life. A few years ago I hurt my ankle very badly. Physical therapy helped me regain my mobility but it always hurt. A few years after that I took a job that required a lot more driving and my back locked up. At my husbands insistence I went in to see Dr. Campbell, one visit and I felt so much better. After a few months I realized that my ankle pain was gone too. I can exercise with no pain. Now whenever my ankle starts to hurt I know it's time to go back to the chiropractor! The clinic is amazing from arrival to departure. Receptionist is welcoming and answered my 101 questions. Dr, he is amazing, explained everything although the initial assessment should be 30 minutes, he spent 45 mins with me. He followed up personally to make sure I was ok the following day. Although there is heavy foot traffic, he is amazing in remember everything about you and makes you feel welcome. It's affordable and convenient place. read more

I usually don't post reviews, in fact this is the first time I've ever felt strong enough to give one. I have been seeing chiropractors for the better part of 35 years, probably more than 20 in all. Dr. Miller (likes to be called Dr. J for Jimmy) has been the best I've ever had. I've had good chiropractors, some at the Joint itself, but never one that could do a complete adjustment in a manner that brought complete relief for a lengthy period of time. I am extremely hard to make an adjustment on and have been told so by many chiropractors including Dr. J. My back and mainly my neck are extremely tight with a lot of scar tissue and muscles that are locked into place creating constant pain. To say the least my quality of life has been compromised. Dr. J assessed all of my issues on my first visit with him. He was so fast in his assessment that at first I wondered if he had even done one. The fact is that his experience and knowledge of anatomy has given him the ability to figure out what is wrong and what needs to be done quickly and accurately. My biggest problem has been that other chiropractors were too gentle with me and would only focus on a couple of specific areas leaving me always feeling that not enough had been done and I still had some degree of pain. Because of this I found myself coming back two to three times a week because of trying to get/keep some type of pain relief. Dr. J is not afraid to perform more aggressive adjustments if needed and it's always just enough to get the job done without causing pain. He also uses a reciprocating electric activator that he can hit a specific spot to get hard to adjust areas as well as relieving trigger points/knotted muscles. He doesn't get in a rush and will work on you until he gets every spot that needs to be worked on. If you have a particular area you want him to concentrate on, he will do that too. Probably the biggest thing is that after he gives you an adjustment, it lasts for a long time, which is something I've never had. With all of this being said, Dr. J has majorly improved my quality of life and I would recommend him to anyone. read more

First I will start by saying that I appreciate Dr Campbell very much. I have spent years in physical therapy from sports injuries to a major car accident in 2007. Years of constant physical therapy wasn't working to alleviate head aches, low back pain, and a new problem of collarbone pain. I had heard many times that chiropractic work is a scam and it's bad for you, but I was getting desperate and was considering a lot of other options. After a really bad head ache, I decided I needed to at least give it a try. I immediately felt relief over the next few days. I have learned so much from him about my symptoms and have started to recognize what type of head ache it is. I don't come as often as I should because of time conflicts but I can honestly say that I would be miserable with Dr Campbell. I have been seeing Dr. Campbell for about two years. When I came to him it was out of desperation to find a solution to my pain. I was getting deep tissue massages 2x a month, however it was not helping me with the pinched nerves in my neck and spine. I work long hours and when I am not behind a computer for 12 hours a day, I am out practicing softball with my 10 year old. I used to suffer from excruciating pain caused from posture, fibromyalgia, inflammation and repetitive motion. I am a busy mom and cannot be immobile. I also suffer from migraines and TMJ. Dr. Campbell has been amazing at making me feel pain free. I no longer get frequent massages, no longer get steroid injections, pain injections and have a very little need for pain killers. My lifestyle will cause me to flareup, but a simple visit and I walk out headache free with a sense of clarity. It is like the pressure of 50 lbs is instantly taken off of my head and shoulders. FIrst off, Dr. Campbell and the staff were very friendly and accommodating for the most part. I found out from Dr. Campbell that his mentor was Dr. Klein from Fremont who I'd had a bad experience with (shady- wouldn't look me in the eyes when I confronted him about contradictory things he'd said, wouldn't even talk to me about decompression machine for some reason, etc.), but I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. The first couple of adjustments were ok on my back but it went downhill quickly. They wanted us to give a heads up when my girlfriend and/or I were on our way near closing time which is completely understandable. One day we didn't call but we still were within time (my mistake) to get our adjustments before 7pm, and the instructions that I gave about going easy were thrown out the window. He basically wanted to just get home I'm guessing and was very rough with my adjustment. I understand if he's tired or frustrated yet at the same time he could've injured me while being careless. I also noticed that the way he did my neck was totally wrong. I don't know why I let him do it more than once with me since he actually pushes down towards my body when he does them, but I did. Needless to say that I'm now having neck issues and am slowly getting better by doing self adjustments. I highly recommend not letting him work with your neck. The adjustments seem like he's just going thru the motions and are mechanical in nature, which is fine if that's what you're into. Lastly, I let the location know that I didn't want to come in anymore to close my account but they said that I couldn't do it over the web/phone. Later I read the fine print and they were totally wrong about this, which was very frustrating as the office is at least a 1/2hr. drive out the the way for both my girlfriend and I. If you are in a contract with the joint, or are thinking about joining, I would suggest using Dr. Lenin or Dr. Laurent who seem to be much more in tune with being healers whom I've had positive experiences with. read more

I only gave this chiropractic office a 1 because zero is not an option. I have been going to a chiropractor for years in order to maintain my health. I was in need of an adjustment on a Saturday before a weeklong business trip but unfortunately my chiropractor was out of town. The Joint advertises walk in patients; however, when I arrived the doctor refused to adjust me, claiming that he would need to see 5 years of X-rays and would require follow up visits to see how I was doing. I have been fortunate to receive one time chiropractor care when I have been out of town and not able to see my chiropractor. I have found, that in general, chiropractors are willing to help patients in crunch situations because they care about providing relief. I now know that this is NOT the philosophy at The Joint, in Livermore, Ca. This doctor had the ability to provide a simple adjustment that I receive weekly but he refused and now I will have to travel on a plane for several hours in discomfort and find a chiropractor out of state who is willing to help me.
