Went for the Feb 13, thought I needed reservations so made them, only to be told they didn't honor them when we got there. It was a busy but not packed night, server was friendly and place was clean. We got a few apps and drinks, when the apps came out they were kind of bland - so we didn't order anymore food. The bar space was taken up by what my husband assumed was an adult street worker and a gentleman who bragged about being more wealthy than Bill Gates. Good. But I would call it more a US/English take on a pub. My husband and I are both from England 1st generation. We understand that a 'fully' English menu might not be accepted here. Food was good, but not what you would find in the same way in England. Scotch eggs are typically medium eggs, not quail, so the ratio of sausage crust to egg was off. Tasty, but 'off'. Cornish pasties are esentially a beef roast dinner, beef, gravy, mash and veg in pastry. The miners used to take their sandwiched leftovers into the mines this way. Curried was tasty, but not traditional and would have benefitted to have some veg, peas or carrots. Would have loved to have seen a ploughmans board with some pickle, a traditional pastie and a trifle for dessert. Overall good service, tasry food but not authentic English pub food. I wanted to like this pub. My mom was an English Subject, my dad, 3rd generation Brit. We could use an authentic British-style pub in this state. Sorry to say the experience was underwhelming. The first word that comes to mind when I think of a pub is "warm". This place was frigid. Turn up the damned heat! The people at the next table kept their wool caps on. The atmosphere is very nice, and they do have live British Football matches playing. A few well-known British beers on tap. For some reason, they had Irish folk music cranked. I don't get that. The kitchen was slow to put out food. Mimsy and I split Scotch Eggs to start. I have nothing to compare it to, but they were delicious. Mimsy got a chicken pub pie, I got the English Dip. My sandwich was supposed to be "smothered with caramelized onions and topped with horseradish cream". No onions, and a miserly swipe of horseradish. The beef was dry. The au jus was salty as hell. The fries, at an additional $1.50, were the best part. Those were good. Mimsy's pie was billed as "braised chicken with a touch of gravy wrapped in pie dough". It was about 3 ounces of dry, shredded chicken with no seasoning and no gravy in a puny pie. No veggies or anything in there, just dry, bland, shredded chicken. It came with a side of bland "gravy". It was just awful. The bill was $70 for this crap, including 4 beers. If this is the best we can expect for a British pub experience, just go to Cara, the Irish pub two blocks away, where the food is much better. read more

I have visited every now and again to satisfy my Cornish Pastie cravings but the last time the Pastie was fried and tasted like oil and not much else. So, this is a tough review to write. The food was great. The service (mostly... more on that in a minute) was good. However, what knocks this place down to 2-stars is this.... Given that so many restaurants are REQUIRED to follow the new guidelines in the wake of COVID, it seems like The June Cork Pub feels like they're mostly exempt. Our party of three came for lunch. It was pretty quiet. The staff mostly had masks on (except for the bar manager? Owner? Couldn't tell). But at least half of them weren't covering their noses (basic mask common sense). The staff routinely took the masks off at the bar to talk and chat and would keep them off until they got right up to the table and then pull them on. The bar manager / owner clearly didn't care because he moved through the kitchen, restaurant and bar without a mask to be seen. The final straw came when a large group of people came in, none of them wearing masks... were given options for tables through the restaurant (like a tour) and then settled on the bar. Check please! Sorry, I know this is inconvenient for everyone, but since this place clearly feels like safety is a personal choice... I'm making the choice to eat elsewhere that does care about the other diners well being. I love supporting local businesses, but not one that feels like health and safety rules are optional. read more

Came in on a friends recommendation and I'm so glad we did! I am a huge fan of football, proper that is This place reminds me of my favorite footie pubs around the world. Friendly folks greeting you when you come in! Good beer selection and tasty food! Plus EPL FOOTIE!!! We came in for the Manchester Derby and the restaurant was (responsibly) full. Lots of great football memorabilia hung around the pub. I had the English breakfast and the lady had the Eggs Benedict. Both were delicious!!! The lady had a Bloody Mary that was very tasty and a bit spicy!! I stuck with Guinness. We had friends join us as well. They had the Fish and Chips and the kids Chicken tenders. They said both were very good. To be honest, I had to refrain from grabbing one of the Chicken tenders but I couldn't do it to the baby. We are definitely coming back!! Such a great spot. I have been waiting for a bar to open like this in the area! The June Cork is the SPOT to watch sports with family and friends! The staff was welcoming and very friendly and the food was amazing! The burger was cooked perfect and oh my god the fries were on point! Can't wait to go back for more games when the sports world is up and running! The June Cork Pub has all the things I hope for in a soccer pub. Great food, quality beverage options (they have Boddington's!) and most importantly an authentic atmosphere. We stopped in to watch a game and couldn't help but immediately feel like we were amongst friends. The owner, and staff, were so friendly that you'd think he's known us for years. We will be back every chance we get. No better place in Southern N.H. to watch the beautiful game. Also, my son wanted it mentioned, they have the best Shirley Temple in town. My husband and I got carry out from here last night. We both ordered the fish and chips. The service was great, the prices are great, and the portions are great. We ordered the half portion each and it was perfectly sized. Ordering online was easy and convenient for us as we're still a little weirded out about covid. The only downfall I would say is my husband's portion was seasoned perfectly but mine tasted like someone spilled the salt on it. I couldn't eat the whole thing because of it. My husband tried it and was surprised as well. 10/10 will try again but holy cow, lay off the salt a little haha. read more

I have never experienced a worse experience at a restaurant. My girlfriend and I went to the June Cork as it appeared very busy. We were underwhelmed by the lack of beer choices and very odd and sweet food (pulled pork egg rolls, fish tacos with a pineapple sauce) at a self proclaimed authentic English pub. My girlfriend has a food and beer blog and she wrote a review explaining that we didn't understand the attraction and would need to come back and try again. The moderator of their page responded to the review by saying they " weren't trying to impress us or her 133 subs" and to not return. They then blocked her. Any company that conducts itself in such a manner better be able to back it up with good food or beer selection. The June Cork cannot on either account. Terrible beer selection, sub par food and hideous customer service. Strongly recommend you go anywhere else. read more

I went with a group last Saturday. Slow service but it was busy. Ordered food after 40 minutes , another 30 before it was delivered. Ordered blackened chicken and they gave us fish? Order boneless chicken Tenders and they gave us wings. waitress took the fish back to get chicken made and left the wings for us to eat while they made the tenders again. The wings were ice cold so asked for a manager. No manager came so we paid our drink bill and left. Not sure what happened that day but wait staff, bartender, kitchen and manager were not on point. When my husband, a Brit and a HUGE Chelsea fan and I walked into this place we knew we HAD to have it for a rehearsal dinner!! Our son got married this past weekend and the celebrations started on Friday at the June Cork!! It was the PERFECT venue for this! Dina made the whole process from start to finish fun and stress free!!!! Everyone was so friendly and we felt like they were all part of the celebrations too! Dina and John have created such a great friendly, warm & fun atmosphere. The food is EXCELLENT thanks to Bonnie who we also got to know during our planning! I am just so sad we did not discover this place before now! We are moving back to England and the June Cork reminds us what traditional English pubs are like!!! I was happy to be able to order online and have my meal hot and ready for pick up within the hour. I felt disappointed by the wings. We are on keto so wings was our big meal for the night. So glad we tried the new British Pub in Dover. June Cork is a great Dover eatery that welcomes patrons with a smile and hello that you'd expect from an old friend. The pub is European decor with flags from various countries and jerseys from several soccer teams throughout. We happened to get there just as as European major match was ending, but we're seated quickly and had a great server. The beer selections were good and service was fast and pleasant. Our group decide on several selections from the menu including chicken pub pie, bangers and mash, and fish and chips. All the food was delicious and hot. The chicken was flavorful, served with a white gravy for dipping, and house chips. The bangers and mash was traditional, served with peas. And the fish and chips was a large portion served with unique large curly steak fries. The food satisfied tastebuds of all.
