Didn't like them charging extra for no reason. Not stating it before hand. Was odd. Hookah was 6/10

First time going and I was skeptical... I didn't read the other reviews so it didn't hinder my review. This hookah lounge is in a plaza which is standard for most places but this plaza felt unsafe. I parked in the general parking area and I saw filthy people sitting in the outdoor area... also someone got their keys stolen in front of me... this was all before walking into the lounge.. Once I got inside, the place was okay. Nothing spectacular. The person who worked there doesn't know much English so its best to speak clearly in order for him to understand. The food was too salty in my opinion. I ordered a shawarma wrap with fries. Its was dry and salty... so salty. But the presentation wasn't bad. I had a blue mist hookah and honestly.. it was one of the best hookahs I've smoked. I would go back but probably with my husband because of the crowd outside of the hookah place. read more

This place is amazing. I've been coming here the last couple weeks to hookah. Very convenient for anyone who wants to smoke before 8pm when most lounges open. They use Coco Nara coals, which bring out the flavor of the shisha better than quick lights. They also serve food. I was skeptical at first, thinking there's no way they'd offer an amazing hookah experience and also serve great food, but today, decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. I ordered a chicken wrap (can remember the exact name of the dish), and it is phenomenal. The fries also have a seasoning I've never had before, and they too are delicious. If you're into hookah or great food, give this place a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

The Kahwa - a sandwich and french fries in a styrofoam container - Hookah Bars Near Me - Tampa, Florida

Called in an order for 1 beef and 1 chicken shwarma. Upon pick up, was told the total was 28+ dollars. With the sandwiches only being 5.99 a piece I was a bit confused. When I asked for clarification, I was basically told they made me something else because it was better but also double the price. I'm all for paying for good food, but when you order something specific, you don't just make something else that's twice the price. I decided to try the "better option" since this was my first time there and was really excited about a shwarma restaurant in tampa but sadly the fries and meat are dry and hard, and the better option is nothing more than meat in a tortilla. I will not be going back here and will encourage no one to support this business. If there was a no start option, they would receive that. read more

Awesome traditional Sheesha shop that I visit for a week once a year when I'm in Tampa on business. Awesome staff and great atmosphere.

Not recommended. As soon as me and my friend walked in One of the Patrons made a racial slur. I proceeded to the back. I looked around and did not notice any females. My friend went to the restroom. I grew angrier and angrier and told him I wanted to fimd another Hookah Bar. The music was very loud when we entered but all of sudden was turned off. As soon as one foot stepped out the door their native music came back on. Thank God I didn't tell my friend what was said. H e would have torn the place up. Another hookah place in the area that doesn't open on time either...says 1pm-3am, I arrived there at 3pm so for 2 hours and it's STILL is closed. It's happened more than usual and I really don't understand. Service is decent, they are nice enough to leave me a roll of coals for me to light and use instead of them coming by but they do bring coals out to you if you don't want to do it yourself. Food is great, I have no complaints about that and the place itself is a typical Arab hookah lounge with a small upgrade. Work on opening on time! read more

This place is gross... I wasn't there 5 min and my shirt got stained from opening the menu. They were not byob which is why I was leaving, and then to get up from the table and realize that a greasy onion was stuck to my shirt, absolutely disgusting. This was a first try and I was outta there with the quickness... very dirty and unkept. They only cater to their own... if you're not Arabic or a person who is ok with filth, don't go. read more

Really yummy falafel! Hookah is decently priced, service is a bit slow, but overall not a bad place to hangout.

Love this place!. Chef Ameer took over and his food is so delicious, I could eat it every day. I have followed this chef for many years, because his food is that good. He's in Temple Terrace now, bringing his bold flavors to this restaurant and I am very happy to have him in my neighborhood. I would definitely recommend Kahwa to anyone in the USF area looking for a nice hookah lounge. Everyone is friendly and they have a lot to offer from meals, snacks, and drinks including smoothies, coffee, and sodas. They also have a nice big screen tv and couches. We went to watch one of the matches of the World Cup and it was the perfect place with some great hookah and to watch the match. I do wish that they had an option to do an unlimited hookah like some other hookah lounges along with buying by the bowl when you plan on staying longer one night. Overall, great place! read more

The food and hookah were very good - However I do agree with some of the other reviewers, the place seems dirty and unkept. The biggest downside was the service, there is one server who is awful, lousy attitude, never smiles, not appreciative of business - he has a goatee and is a bit tall. Overall, the service needs to improve but the hookahs are worth a look. read more
