Eggplant dish was the best, really flavorful. Saag was good too, Aloo Gohbi was OK. Goat Korma was fair, meat could have been much more tender. Dishes all came with rice. They are fast, delicious, and open 7 days a week. Being open on Sunday has made my life easier several times.

Was craving Indian food and some of our go to's, aren't open for lunch as so we stopped by taste of India to give it a try. It's in a little strip mall in bountiful. The good. It appears to be a family business and the host/waitress and cook/owner were very friendly and accommodating. Really good service. They have a buffet type setup that allows you to try a good variety of their food and it's already ready when you get there, so it's fast. You grab a plate and start picking your food. The food was good, but not as full of flavor as some of my favorite Indian spots. It's all very mild, since it's premade, and they most likely play to the lowest common denominator with the temperature of the spices. The Naan was a little heavy and I like it more light and fluffy. If you're in a hurry this could be a quick spot for fast Indian food. read more

We decided to try the lunch buffet to see if the other entrees are better. They are not. The chicken korma was good enough and is the only thing I'd order if I had to come here again. The tikki masala has no flavor and the butter chicken was even more bland, but also a little sweet, which was weird. The tandoori chicken wasn't flavored terribly but was inedible. It made me gag because it felt like chewing on a dense cotton ball. The coconut soup was bland also. The naan was actually cooked this time, but it was also black in places, which is fine. But I guess you either get black or undercooked?? Also, warning if you're sensitive like me. They burn incense. I'm sure it's a nice addition for some, but I'm allergic and now the scent is stuck in my hair and all over me. That's not adding to my rating, but a warning. The ambiance is nice and the place is decorated well. It's definitely a cute place and there must be an audience for bland Indian food or they wouldn't have good reviews. But, again, there are better places in Bountiful, so we will continue to go there. read more

If you are nearby or even just around the mountain, the flavorful food, authentic ambiance, and excellent service are all worth the drive. This is hands the best Indian food I've ever had! Their chicken tikka was perfectly cooked so soft not dry like chicken breast usually are and had just the right amount of sauce on it as I don't like a bunch of sauce. Their Kheer rice pudding was the best I've ever had it was so good I got an extra one to go. But the best was their Naan. The regular naan was so buttery and thick and fresh and their garlic naan was perfectly seasoned and even thicker. I was honestly so shocked because every other Indian restaurant I've ever been to has always had a flaky, more dry airy naan. So I never even knew it could be thick and so flavorful. I have never been too crazy about naan before but now I am so excited for it. Naan was so good we ordered 5 orders and there was only 2 of us. And last but definitely not least was their service, It was so amazing. Food was delicious but, with all Indian places, if you don't order naan and eat the rice, you will leave hungry. The $12 portions are small but flavorful. Especially the Baryan eggplant. Wish they told me they didn't use 100% breast in the chicken vindaloo. It was fatty so I let the other family members therefore eat the chicken and I soaked up the sauce with the fresh garlic naan. I don't really like leaving bad reviews, but man, this was bad. Our appetizer, the assorted snacks was just bad. The chicken was cold, and tough. The onion bhaji was dense, and all breading which tasted like eggs, and no onion. Same with the spinach bhaji. Dense, and no flavor. We arrived about 1pm, and the buffet didn't look fresh, so we decided to just order food off the menu so it would be fresh. Garlic naan, and chicken tikka masala was all we ordered. The masala sauce was watery, there was no spice level, and the chicken was rubbery. It was so disappointing. We were recommended this place and it was just bad. We started with the lamb appetizer (fried dumpling filled with ground lamb and peas) served with a mint spread and honey sauce. The flavor combos were unique and special. I ordered the mango chicken and hubby the 3 meat special. I ordered spicy and it didn't disappoint. The combo of sweet mango to start then building heat in the tomato sauce was amazing. I couldn't stop eating it. The 3 meats were yummy and plenty for a second meal. Do not skip the garlic naan. Light, flavorful and so yummy. One day, my good friend advised I try a piece of her food. After refusing so many times, I gave in. To my surprise, it was pretty good. Next time the office ordered Taste of India, I went all in. Got the Lamb Coconut Korma and never looked back. Everyone insisted on the Garlic Naan, so I got that, too! I AM SO GLAD I GAVE IN. Fast forward to March 29, 2022. My husband recently moved to Bountiful. When I came to visit, I was craving Indian like no other. I told him about how Taste of India wast first Indian food experience ever. For years I invited friends & family with me to Bountiful Taste of India Grill, increasing patronage, having a man taking me to dinner there many times. 2019, with a lifetime friend, the cashier/waitress brought me only "Two" small bites of chicken swimming in a bowl of curry for $13. Walking back to tell that waitress/cashier the problem, she was chomping on a large bowl of my ordered dish, mounded up with chicken. She seemed to feel she could pull a stunt deceptively on me because I'm always nice, telling me there are lots of spices in the curry. Asking to talk to the cook, she denied me. Of course. Not able to eat white rice or Nan, I ended up eating a mere bowl of curry, disabled my entire income $760/mo. That woman's dishonesty is hurting your business. I have tried I believe 3 of their vegetable curries. They have a variety of curry types. I like mine to be medium that way I can still enjoy it and not be dying of the heat.
