At the first site, the place looks average at its best. It's low on staff and takes a while to get to you. We ordered 2 bowls with tikka chicken, tikka masala, jeera rice, lamb and mixed vegetable curry. Meat wasn't great. The only things that's average is tikka masala.

For fast casual Indian Makam's does a great job. Makam's has the same feel as a lot of newer restaurants where you choose your base, protein, sauce, and toppings. Which is nice because it gives you a better ability to customize to your taste. The individual who helped us order was very friendly and helpful in deciding what to order. I wasn't sure if I wanted the tikka Masala or coconut curry, he recommend the coconut curry and it was delicious! My husband chose tikka Masala with chicken and lamb, which he also enjoyed. If you're in the area I would definitely recommend trying Makam's.

We both split the sauces between tikka masala and coconut korma. One is lamb and one is chicken tandoori. Delicious

Lots of yummy flavors and options. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked the lamb. It smells amazing as soon as you walk in the doors, they know what they're doing here! Service is relatively quick for the quality and staff is always friendly. The bowls are very filling! Prices are a bit high - two bowls, garlic cheese naan, and chili momos came to about $50. But I'll be back :)

Big drop in ratings due to inaccurate pricing. When you have digital menu boards, there no excuse to have wrong pricing. Online order prices match what the menu say but when rung up onsite it's more. Food is still pretty average.

AMAZING! My mouth was watering just from the smell when I pulled this out of the bag! It smelled so good! I don't usually order Indian food, but I was feeling like something different today and I have ZERO regrets. I ordered the chicken butter masala bowl. Like many have said, definitely enough for two meals! The sauce is rich, flavorful, and creamy! And the chicken was also moist and tasty. Every bite was a savory taste explosion! And the garlic butter naan was the perfect side to scoop it all up with! I also ordered a dessert called Rasmalai. I don't know that I will order it again, but I didn't hate it. The taste and texture reminds me of bread that has been soaking in milk. Kind of like when you soak the bread to make french toast. It is soft and sweet. I have a feeling I will be ordering from Makam's regularly now. :)

I have driven past this place and was surprise of the development of this plaza. So I had to go try this place out. I want to compare this place to a chipotle, but Indian style. Don't let me scare you away, cause even though they do have stuff prepared in advance, it taste super fresh and also they do make stuff freshly depending on the curry you would like. I made my own bowl. I got a layer of rice, but also added on butter garlic naan. Highly recommend adding the naan cause there's a lot of curry that you will want to eat and the rice isn't enough. I got the coconut korma curry, along with the tikka masala curry. They also gave me the spinach curry too (forgot the name). The spinach curry is made fresh to order. So it's really good. The protein I got was chicken and saag. Highly recommend this place. It's a quick curry run.

We love the pani puri and butter chicken here! Pani puri ball was crunchy and the fillings were delicious. Butter chicken was so good, the chicken was tender and juicy. I ordered delivery through grubhub and it was on time.

Pro-tip: It's like an Indian chipotle and I'm totally here for it! The plate is big enough for two people or two meals. The menu is different than the pictures posted here - there are less base options, so be prepared for that. Highlights: I absolutely love this idea of Indian chipotle and getting to mix and match. I thought it was super delicious and I would recommend this place to anyone. I love how the naan is made fresh. The server was really helpful with suggesting sauces and toppings. Next time I would want to try the salad option since I like ordering naan and it's a bit too much carbs for me with both the naan and rice. Lowlights: The tandori chicken was a bit salty especially since you put savory sauce on top of it afterwards. I kind of wish I could see the toppings/salad be put on my food like at chipotle or even with the meats/sauces at this place. I would have asked for more lettuce and I asked for all the toppings, but I wasn't sure where the mint or cream was on the plate when I opened it.

This place has the best butter chicken I've had in Utah. The chicken is great quality and super soft. I love the flavors. The butter naan is big and tasty. If you want your food mild or comes that way. You can request spicy and they'll add some heat to it. There's plenty of parking. Kid-friendly. For 5 of us we had two bowls and 3 butter naan. Was just enough for us. Overall I really enjoyed the food. Having lived in a middle eastern country before I miss this kind of food. It hits the spot!

Overall impression: This place is awesome. Huge portions at great prices. I will definitely be back and you should too! Average price: $9-10 (but each bowl is gigantic and enough for two meals) Food: Tastes great. Excellent concept. The menu is kinda confusing at first but once you order you'll figure it out. It's basically like those poke bowl places. But heads up, it's a tad bit spicy. Perfect for me, but if you aren't used to spice just be ready for it. Value: Cant beat it. The bowls are HUGE. And you can have basically two great choices for 10 bucks. It's definitely enough for at least two meals. And fountain drink for only 99 cents. Naan is also very reasonable and so are the desserts Service: I was the only one there on a Saturday early evening but the server was really nice and very helpful. Cant make any complaints at all. Ambience: Well there's plenty of space to distance and still eat in. It's basically counter service, which I love. And very clean. Also has restrooms though I didn't use them.

Came here off of a recommendation from a friend. As everyone has mentioned, it has the style of Chipotle or Cafe Rio in which you build your bowl, plate, salad, or wrap. I think this is nice because you get to mix and match. Of course, the menu is sort of limited because of that, but I think it makes it easier to order and decide. Service 5/5: The guy helping us was extremely nice--he offered complimentary water and brought our food to our table. A guy who was already eating came back to the counter asking to buy another scoop of masala sauce, but the server gave it to him for free! Food 4/5: Chile Chicken--very flavorful and had the right amount of spice (medium). I just wish that the chicken was CRISPY since it was advertised as fried chicken. Samosa Chaata--Smothered samosa with yogurt, mint, vegetables, and some type of sauce. Super good. My wife got the tandoori chicken wrap with Coconut sauce and that was really good (not pictured). Ambience 5/5: Plenty of seating. Don't wear nice clothes here as the smells are very strong and will stick. Price 4/5: I haven't been to many Indian restaurants. But based on the quantity/quality of food, I think the price was totally fine. Of course, wouldn't mind a $1 or so cheaper. Definitely will return to try the other options!

I wanted to like this SO much because of the concept, basically a build your own off Indian food but the flavour was so underwhelming that I was so disappointed in my meal. The portion size was perfect and generous And the naan was pretty good but the sauce on the chicken lacked all flavour. Maybe it's because the general palate of utahns is rather bland but for Indian food this lacked the punch of flavours needed for this to be a hit!

Is this location still open? I stopped by today (Friday 11/21/25) at 8:30pm and the restaurant was closed. Is this location now called MunchKart? I always eat here when I come to town and we were sad to see the restaurant closed.

Yes, it is called MunchKart now but is still the same!

We went in without huge expectations since the menu plays it pretty safe, but the Chicken Mumbai Masala genuinely impressed us--rich, flavorful, and easily better than the Tikka Masala.
