First time trying The Kebab Shop after hearing so many good things about it! Came by for dinner on the weekend and there was no wait to order at the kiosk, which was nice. I ordered the wrap and this thing was MASSIVE lol, definitely bigger than the photos, but no complaints here! The ingredients tasted super fresh and the spreads were so bomb. It had the perfect balance of meat and veggies. We also got the fries and they did not disappoint either. As a first timer, I had to compliment the cooks because the meal was honestly that good. My wife, son and I decided to go to The Kebab Shop for lunch yesterday. It's been a while since we'd been there. We decided to dine-in, since we were out shopping and stopped for lunch. The restaurant hadn't changed much, but they no longer have their sauces out so you can help yourself. All 3 of decided to order Wraps. My wife and I enjoyed their Grilled Wrap with Safron Chicken, while our son ordered the Grilled Wrap with Chicken Shawarma. I enjoyed their amount of Yogurt and Cilantro Lime Sauces. It was the right amount and had just the right amount of kick to it. The restaurant was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. The Wraps were larger than I remembered, which was a nice treat. The Chicken was grilled nicely and was flavorful. My wife and I weren't able to finish our Wraps, so we brought them home to enjoy at a later time. read more

I learned about this place from my workplace when they ordered chicken, pita, rice , hummus and salad. They were all good. So I decided to go back with my daughter. She loved the falafel and rice. Lost its yummy flavor. Totally Flavorless Very sad that a lot of things changed since I was last there. The wrap contents barely had any chicken... and was very bland/blah.... it was mostly filled with cabbage.... The wrap itself was chewy - and the sauces have completely lost zing flavor! OG Garlic Sauce - had zero garlic flavor and was very runny. It used to be thick and garlicky Cilantro Jalapeño Sauce - no taste of cilantro or jalapeño.... It was just plain green colored liquid. This used to have a tangy heat. Fire Chili Sauce - had zero heat and was runny... it too was just plain red colored liquid. The staff were all friendly and nice .... But I went for the flavors I used to get from the old recipes/ingredients. Would I go back? Sadly, No :(. There is no need to drive that far for zero satisfaction. read more

Five years since my last review and this is still my favorite Mediterranean food place in Fremont. Their wraps are huge, a foot long at least. The wrap itself is soft, slightly grilled, and has the perfect chew. They have preset wraps, but I always build my own. Their chicken kebab and chicken shawarma are both excellent. I love how they introduce new ingredients (like jalapeno hummus, and crispy pita bits) and new entrees (like Moroccan shrimp). Recently I noticed they have combo specials: 2 wraps and 2 sides for $36 - good deal. Their fries are really good - skinny fries that are actually crispy. I also love their falafels. Pro Tip: Their wraps are the size of your forearm. If you aren't as hungry you can order one and ask them to cut it in half for you to share, but if you are hungry you can totally smash one yourself--it's doable. When we're trying to eat something healthy and quick, Kebab Shop is where we go. I love how fresh their veggies are and how much they pack the veggies into their wraps without skimping out on the protein. It's always mouth watering good. My girlfriend and I get the basic wrap with everything in it minus the additional sauces, and carved lamb meat. But this one time around we finally got to meet the franchise manager and he suggested we try an add on (Which is completely free!). We opted to add saffron rice to our wrap and something soooo simple changed up the dish so much. The rice was soft, flavorful, and rounded out the wrap. You feel a lot fuller with it and it gives you the same density that a burrito would. Highly recommend on your more hungry days. As for the staff and restaurant, they're always nice, helpful and diligent. The restaurant is always clean and service is always fast. I appreciate the staff always coming around and asking if the food is up to standard even if this is considered a fast food restaurant. So if you are ever in the area and looking for something quick and healthy, I highly recommend Kebab Shop. Shoutouts to the manager, you run a tight ship with a great crew. read more

I got a 20% off coupon after making purchase at another location last week and decided to try this location today. I came around 2:45 so the restaurant was not too busy. The restaurant was clean with tables on both sides of the counter. I ordered my food at the counter and the staff was able to accommodate my request to separate the greens from the rice/meat. I was able to get my order in about 5 minutes. The sauces, cilantro, spicy red and traditional garlic yogurt sauce dispenser were available for self service. The chicken was tender and not dry. It was delicious, especially with the spicy red sauce and yogurt sauces. I usually get the wrap but the bowl is just as tasty. read more

The Kabob Shop is almost a home run for our family. Most importantly my kids LOVE the kids meal. Like, reliably-clean-their-plates love it. And the weekend deal is hard to beat: kids eat free on Saturdays and Sundays with the purchase of an adult entrée and drink. As a parent, that alone earns major points. Me personally? The food doesn't do much for me, but hey, it's not for me. Now for my big frustration when ordering: you cannot order a kids meal at the in-store kiosk OR when ordering take-out through the mobile app. This applies both during the week and for the free kids meals on weekends. That means you're stuck waiting in line to order, then waiting again for food, and the timing is pretty hit-or-miss. When you've got hungry kids, this becomes seriously annoying. One more important note: location matters. The Pacific Commons location is better in every way compared to the newer Paseo Padre spot. The staff member was really friendly and seen that we were waiting for a while and asked for my name and told us it was coming up. Food was okay, I wasn't a fan of the saffron rice. I'm incredibly disappointed with my experience here today. It was my first time trying this place, and I ordered a bowl at the self-serve kiosk. The instructions clearly said to wait for your name to be called. So I did--along with several others. But after a while, I noticed people who ordered after me getting their food. I finally decided to check the pickup shelf, where I had seen a staff member quietly place an order without calling out a name. Sure enough--my order had been sitting there for who knows how long. I had waited 30 minutes, even though my receipt said the wait should've been about 10. I placed the order at 7:29 PM and didn't leave until 8:03 PM. It was incredibly frustrating and honestly made me want to cry. When I brought it up to the staff, their response was awkward and unhelpful. They asked if the food was cold (the bottom was barely warm), looked confused, and then asked if I "wanted a card"--whatever that was supposed to mean. All I wanted was for them to call out my name like they were doing with other orders. Instead, I was unknowingly staring at my food on the shelf for 20 minutes. Nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. There are also whole garbanzo beans in the falafel. What a great lunch option! I was in the area and wanted a healthy-ish lunch and Yelp led me here. Big pro tip if you're planning to arrive around lunch time: order ahead! While the line wasn't super long when I arrived, it did take some time to get my order. It's understandable because I came right as prime lunch time began. When I got there, I just went straight to the kiosk to put my order in. They have a lot of different lunch choices from wraps to bowls to plates. I went with the chicken grains bowl and it was super good. So flavorful and I loved the different sauces they had on top. I also got a hummus with pita and it was the perfect snack. The salad bowl here are not enough potion, as a averagw weight women, I still feel hungry after finish the whole thing even adding the hummus. Even with the hummus, I still couldn't get full. They really just throw in the veggies so loosely, nothing dense at all. The vegetables weren't even pressed down--such a small bowl of loose lettuce, and once you add a bit of dressing it just turns mushy and collapses into nothing. On top of that, the amount of meat wasn't nearly enough protein for a normal adult, even someone with low body weight. Charging $18 for this and still not being able to fill up a girl is just outrageous. The food cost probably isn't even 20% of the price. read more

I am surprised I had never tried this restaurant before, it is five minutes from where I live. I tried it for lunch yesterday, getting a mediterranean salad grain bowl with mixed protein (thin cut beef/lamb and chicken shawarma). I ordered in their self serve ordering machine and the process was easy. I liked that they have a rewards program. The bowl was a very nice portion, with a base of saffron rice topped with salad, the meat proteins and a dolop of hummus and garlic yogurt sauce that is very yummy. The salad greens were very fresh and the rice and meat very tasty. An employee came out from behind the counter to ask me how everything was-this was very good customer service. Today I went back to pick up some take out to bring home to my family, because I liked the food a lot yesterday. Today I got the San Diego wrap which has a protein, french fries, romaine lettuce, tomato, an onion slaw topped with feta and the garlic yogurt sauce. You can easily add or remove topings, I love the fact everything is customizable. The wrap itself had a little charbroiled taste which I love in a tortilla wrap. The sirloin steak was cooked very nicely and wss soft. One comment that I have is that the sirloin steak had three pieces of chewy fat that I had to spit out because they were hard to swallow. Additionally I got a smallish piece of bone fragment from the meat- this hurt my molar unfortunately and was not a pleasant find. This can happen to anyone, I would suggest being more careful to check the meat you cook. Today I was helped very patiently by a nice and friendly young man. Yesterday there were maybe three of us at lunch time. Today at around 2 p.m. the place was full of customers sitting down or waiting for their to go orders; this is a popular place that I highly recommend. read more
