This is my first time coming to this place but at the same time, it's so sad that they announced that they're shutting their doors for good at the end of this month. I've been wanting to try Chinese takeout places and I find this quite unique because they serve Chinese food in halal style. They also have a prayer room at the right side of the restaurant. While it's very quiet outside, the place looks very elegant and nice inside. I can see that they really have taken good care of it. Probably a place you can socialize with friends in a night outing. Meal portions are very massive, which can probably feed more than one person. Pretty much all the items are good. My only concern is the Orange Chicken because it looses its texture and gets very slimy. In other words, coating falls apart. This would have been one of the best Chinese restaurants I would go for takeouts but they only have 2-3 weeks left before they permanently close it. I recommend supporting this restaurant by visiting and even trying their foods before their closure. Food is really good here.

First off, I can't help but compare to Panda Express - so if you don't like Panda, take my review with a grain of salt. The employees were super friendly, explaining the ordering process, the options, and the sampling policy. I ordered: - Chow mein - really good fat, slippery noodles - Orange chicken - a bit too wet for my liking - Pepper beef - decent, not amazing Compared to Panda Express - the chow mein is better at Habibiz, but the orange chicken is better at Panda. I heard they're closing, so I guess I won't get a chance to have them again!

The portion sizes are nice, but there is not a lot of wow or yummy going on here. This restaurant is located in an area where if you work close by you save time by coming here for your lunch break. I ordered the 3 entrée combo with 1/2 chow mein and rice. Everything tasted bland. The Cumin lamb and Peppered beef tasted the same to me. Kung Pao Shrimp could have been more flavorful. The fried fish? I looked for it. I do understand when your on a 30 minute lunch break getting in and out quickly is the main thing. Habibiz has nice dining areas both inside and outside.

This place is a gem for halal Chinese cuisine. I've tried diff stuff here but keep going back to the basic orange chicken and Mongolian beef. The taste is always consistent and the place is super clean. They have good portions for the price like seriously good portions.

Stopped by Habibiz during my lunch break and man, I'm glad I did. This place is officially my new go-to Chinese takeout spot in Fremont. First time trying halal Chinese food didn't even know that was a thing, but I'm VERY happy it exists. The food was delicious and the portions were legit. Plenty of seating inside too, so it's perfect if you want to chill and actually enjoy your lunch instead of eating in your car like a gremlin. One thing that really stood out? They have a pay-it-forward option for folks who might not be able to afford a warm, hearty meal. That alone made me a fan which you can feel the heart in this spot. Wish I took photos but I was so in the moment. Overall: great food, fast service, good vibes. Habibiz, you've just gained a regular.

Spicy chow mein, cumin lamb, and mongolian beef

This place is sooo gooood!!! I think i found the best chinese takeout in Fremont. The location is a bit tucked away within a business complex but its pretty easy to navigate to. They have lunch deals and honestly the portion sizes are really big. You could share with another person. They have spicy chow mein as an option, alongside the regular fried rice and reg chow mein. The spicy chow mein is not too spicy but very tasty. I opted for the mongolian beef and cumin lamb as my entrees. The meat was so tender, moist, and with perfect seasoning -- i was addicted! I wish it was a bit more spicier but it was still very tasty nonetheless.

I absolutely loved this place! I stopped by for the first time and the staff was super friendly and explained the combo options to me. The food was amazing, my fav was the spicy cumin lamb and the spicy chowmein. Honestly all the options we got were amazing, flavorful, and fresh. There was also a ton of seating, both indoor and outdoor. I also want to add that there was an employee, I'm assuming he was the owner, who was so kind to the kids in the restaurant, you could tell he truly is a kind soul who cares about his community!

100% halal menu for those with dietary restrictions. Probably one of the nicest interiors and designs of a halal restaurant that you'll find around. Great color scheme and everything inside was spotless. Food was delicious. I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally got a chance to give it a go. Highly recommend the spicy chow mein, the pepper beef, and the orange chicken. The spicy fish looked tempting as well. I also tried the hot and sour soup and it didn't disappoint. Love that there's an option for those that need to pray nearby as well. Try this place out for yourself. The food nor the service won't disappoint!

Halal Chinese food!!!! So good and affordable! Quick service and a lot of parking. I ordered the kids meal with chow mein and salt and pepper fish. Definitely recommend!

2 boxes of food for $13
    Hope L.

Picked up a box of food from TGTG and was pretty impressed with the quantity of the food and the experience as we got 2 boxes and a soup for only $13. The store had so much food left over that they said we could build a second box in store for an extra $5 and we could choose any of the remaining entrees so we did and we got orange chicken, fish, and sweet and sour chicken. The food was similar to a Chinese buffet where it's not the best quality but for the price it's worth it as it's filling and worth the money. The fish was super tasty and wasn't too oily and the orange chicken grew on me as it was more sweet than tangy. The chow mein didn't really have much flavor and I couldn't taste the soy sauce. However, I love the mission of the restaurant where they offer free meals for other customers who need some help and I thought the food was great for the price. I'll definitely be back!

Lunch ($12.99): spicy fish plus cumin lamb
    Megan C.

I love their stance (halal only) but this place was not for me. I saw it on Yelp with enticing reviews and all I wanted to do was try this place but it was so out of place/out of the way from every where that I go on a regular. FOOD: I ordered their lunch special as 2 entrees and 1 main (fried rice, chow mein, etc) for $12.99 which was really cool because I was there approximately 4pm and they still gave me the price! - I wanted things like Mongolian beef but everything looked horribly dark (understandably from massive amounts of soy sauce probably) and super oily. - ended with half veg chow mein/half fried rice, cumin lamb (+1.50) and spicy fish - cumin lamb tasted like nothing and had a buttload of fatty pieces (it just came out of the kitchen so it looked so enticing but it also looked like pepper beef which I thought it was and super dry) - spicy fish had dried up fish filets and to me was ultra spicy (all you tasted was horrible spice not the good numbing Szechuan spice) - only the veggie chow mein was good hahahaha - standard fried rice with frozen veggies SERVICE: they were so nice and started complimenting my bag, outfit, etc - has self service kiosk AMBIENCE: it's really clean and really bright; lots of white LOCATION / PARKING: it's located in the strangest place ever in a loaded business/working plaza... I only came here because I saw the huge bright logo and their van as I was driving home and I knew I had to turn in because when will I even head this direction? Why not 1 star? I mean their food is edible and flavors are decent plus as stated. However, it's oily, dark, and dried aka basically looks and is unappetizing. Their fancier items/options like beef, lamb, etc are always an additional $1.50 which is appropriate but disappointing since those on a budget will be left out.

2 item Combo (spicy chow mein, pepper beef, and spicy Szechuan chicken)
    Ethan W.

Can't emphasize enough how much I enjoy a takeout Chinese place with the hot tray express counter. Thus I celebrate every time I find a new spot. Habibiz is halal Chinese food which is a first for me in terms of express food, which is unique! They've got a pretty large space with ample seating and it gets pretty crowded with people funneling in and out for takeout. I got a 2 item combo with the spicy chow mein, pepper beef, and spicy Szechuan chicken. I thought overall the food was not bad; certainly not lacking on flavor. If anything, it was a bit too salty for my tastes. It's pretty reasonably priced, and a generous portion of food. I might try to get different things next time if I visit again. Service is good. Somehow they lost my first order and they remade it and gave me a discount which speaks to their customer service over a simple mistake.

    Calvin T.

Somebody recommended that I try out Habibiz in Fremont Boulevard. I checked it out and was impressed. I describe it as a better, halal Panda Express. I got myself a 3 Item Combo Box ($15.50). I chose Chow Mein for my side, and Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and Kung Pao Chicken for my entrees. Chow Mein (5/5) You cannot go wrong with good chow mein. It's perfectly salty and packed with vegetables. The portions are massive, and that applies for all the items. Orange Chicken (5/5) Sweet and tangy. I like how juicy the chicken is here. This is a classic item you have to get here. Mongolian Beef (4/5) That marinade is quite juicy and the meat is tender. The pepper beef is a great addition, though it may be better paired with rice considering how salty it can be. Kung Pao Chicken (4.5/5) Because the portions were so massive, the third entree is slotted into a to-go box. Overall really impressed with the quality. Spicy and sweet. Good amount of peanuts and peppers. The staff are friendly and provide great food suggestions. They offer self-served ice-cold water. There is a prayer room next to the restaurant. Habibiz also offers catering options and party trays. The day they offer Honey Walnut Shrimp as an entree, you already know I'll be the first to pull up to eat it.

It is possible to do entree boxes, just one of box of an entree? Last time I asked for A La Carte in person, they said no or were confused on what I was asking?

Doesn't look customers in the eye, provides minimal service, hell, we had to ask the support staff to bring us chopsticks for food we had delivered to us 10 minutes ago, which grew cold. He never checked in on us, and we were charged 20% gratuity since we were 12 people. I don't mind auto-gratuity, but when the service is nonexistent, it really doesn't sit well. Really unfortunate service from our waiter, other support staff seemed really nice, but he wasn't in charge of taking care of us, sadly. We were thoroughly ignored.
