    Tofu in Szechuan sauce
    Parth K.

It is rare that I refuse to eat a dish. We came here for dinner. And ordered the spicy chili corn, vegetable coins in Manchurian sauce 'top seller' and the tofu in Szechuan sauce. The review is not lower, because the chili corn was crispy and the tofu was good though the sauce did not taste anything of Szechuan. Their top seller the vegetable coins was an utter disaster that I couldn't even eat it. All it tasted of was oil in a bland sauce...very very disappointed. Service was okay.. but seemed a bit off. Will probably not come back.

What a great experience! The staff were so helpful, it was our first time here and they were checked in on us regularly. They were also helpful on how much each order would serve. The place was super clean! They even have a cute robot that brings some of the dishes to you! It was pretty cool that they were playing the soccer game there! We got the black pepper chicken, 1 order of rice, and chicken momo. Bathrooms were also, really clean! Definitely will be back!

The place I meant to eat lunch at was permanently closed and this Indo Chinese restaurant seemed intriguing. It's in a shopping area with easy parking. The restaurant is clean and was pretty quiet on a Thursday afternoon. They have a lunch special that has both vegetarian and meat options where you get an appetizer, main and rice or noodles. They ask about heat level and I got medium to play it safe. I didn't realize that all the chicken and fish would be in a batter and fried and seasoned with different sauces. We could have asked probing questions about the unfamiliar dishes so I guess that was on us. The menu only listed the items without descriptions. I got 'dry fish', which came with a lot of veg and it tasted nice, but there was as much batter as fish. The kappa noodles were absolutely nothing to write home about, and the chicken had a lot of batter and a nondescript sauce. I've never had Manchurian chicken; maybe it's supposed to be bland. There was a little pot of green chilis in vinegar that made the chicken taste better. An egg roll was a surprise on the plate. If I were to go again, I think I would order à la carte dishes mentioned on Yelp.

I had fried rice wrap in egg. It look exciting so I wanted to try it. I had it with shrimp. It was very tasty. I added a little bit a hot sauce that was in the table. And gave it a kick very good. Also I had a drink that had an icicle on top. For me it was too sweet. I also has a shrimp appetizer was a little spicy which I love. Another dish was a lamb dish which was good pared with the rice. Service was great they gave us some recommendations and what to order. When we got there it was empty but later it was crowded I would come again

We visited this restaurant on Friday evening and this place did not disappoint us. We ordered chili garlic momos, chicken started and schzewan fried rice. All the dishes were flavorful and seriously satisfying in taste. Portions were generous, value for price. The restaurants ambience is lively, bright colors and energetic lighting, which contributes to cozy-causal yet trendy settings. Overall this place excels for those seeking authentic Indo-Chinese fusion.

We were in the area and decided to pop in for lunch. The dishes we ordered were really flavorful and delicious especially the Manchurian cauliflower. The restaurant is quite big, perfect for large parties or for tables for 2. The service was quick and friendly, but giving 4 stars because we felt like the dishes were quite expensive for their portions.

We visited RHCP with friends and family - the total group size was 8 adults and 1 kid. There was ample seating space being a weekday. The ambiance was good. The food service was fast and there were a variety of food options - veg and non-veg. Calcutta chicken, Szechuan Fried rice, Chilli Garlic noodles were the group favorites. Hakka noodles are a great option for kids - 0 spice, lots of veggies and you can add any choice of protein to it. Desserts were also nice - we ordered chocolate pyramid, fried ice cream and chocolate lava cake. All the food tasted good and we had a great time!

RHCP is a good place to visit if you are looking for a nice asian fusion restaurant. The ambiance of the place was fine, and the place seems to get pretty busy during rush hours. The service was alright, and there were even robots that came to our table to deliver our food! The food was also pretty good, and we all enjoyed our meals, but nothing was particularly good or special about the food. Overall, the place was nice, but it was nothing crazy and nothing to go out of your way to visit. (3.5 stars)!

Came here Sunday afternoon with a few friends to catch up. Was able to get a seat right away and the service was amazing. Everything was delicious got the chili veggie momos and munchow soup which had a kick of spice. Also got the garlic chili noodles that were perfect. Will totally go back to try some more dishes soon.

Fremont is full of Indian and Chinese restaurants, but you rarely see a place serving Indo-Chinese cuisine. As the name suggests, Red Hot Chili Pepper focuses on spicy flavors, as evident in its signature dishes like Szechwan fried rice and chili garlic noodles. My favorite dish is the momos--juicy dumplings commonly found in the Tibetan and Nepalese regions of Asia. While the portions are a bit small for the price, the fried ice cream is another story; it's a massive hit with my family!

    Burnt Garlic Fried Rice

Went with 2 of my colleagues and order few items like garlic momos, some paneer Appetizer, few drinks, Garlic Burnt Fried Rice and some Panneer entree. Restaurant was clean and nice to see robos getting food from kitchen and served by servers. Service was good but one staff member at the main reception kept on disturbing while we were busy discussing things. If the restaurant was busy and someone was waiting then I understand that they need us to vacant table but this kind of service when the restaurant is not fully occupied was not welcoming. My previous visit with family was great, don't remember if it was same staff or staff has changed. For food, burnt garlic fried rice was worst, panner entree had big pieces of ginger and the paneer Appetizer was also not good in taste. Only item that stood out was Garlic Mom's appetizer. Would recommend garlic momos for sure.

Ask the Community - Red Hot Chilli Pepper

Can we sit inside restaurant during covid?

Yes - we did a couple of months ago when we went there during Covid.

Can you bring in your own wine? what is the corkage fee?

    Do they have outdoor dining?

Yes, they do have 4-5 tables (on the patio) for outdoor dinning

Hi I want to ask all food is vegetarian ? Can you do no onions and garlic food?

They have vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. I am sure you can ask to custom order to exclude onions and garlic since most of their food should be made fresh just before serving.

Does this place have lunch menu specials on weekdays?

I did not see a lunch menu when I was there 2 weeks ago. I am unsure if it's always been like that, or if it is due to COVID.

    Is the meat halal?

I believe it's noted on their menus.

Is this the same as the Red Hot Chili in San Carlos?

Yes it's a branch of same with same menu

The service was quick and attentive, and the restaurant itself was nicely decorated. The best thing we ordered was the Sizzling Yellow Croaker with Fried Garlics (9/10). The fish was super crispy, and the sweet, garlicky skin was incredibly addictive. I would 100% order this every time I come back. We also had the Shredded Cabbage with Sliced Pork (8/10), which was nice and tangy. The cabbage soaked up all the sauce, making every bite packed with flavor, while the pork provided a great contrast to the vegetables. The House Special Fried Rice with Pickle & Beef (7/10) wasn't anything extraordinary, but it served as a great base alongside the other dishes. The pickles were an interesting addition, as I've never had fried rice prepared that way before, but I definitely enjoyed it. Finally, we decided to try the House Special Spicy Frog in Stone Pot (6.5/10) since most of us had never had frog before. The flavor was outstanding, with a great umami depth and just the right amount of spice. The frog itself was a little difficult to eat because of the large number of bones, but the meat was tender and juicy. Replacing the frog with another protein probably would have made it more favorable, but I still enjoyed trying something new and didn't regret ordering it. Overall, Ping's Bistro is a great spot for outstanding Chinese food. Every dish we tried was enjoyable, and there are still so many items on the menu I'd love to come back and explore. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality and flavor make up for it. I'll definitely be back.

If I were to sum up my meal in one word, I can do it easily: salty. Every dish I've tried today was…read moreincredibly salty. Though I prefer my food a little bit more flavorful, Ping's Bistro really shot every single flavor up. The Steamed pork belly with preserved vegetables was served first, and without a doubt, is one of the spiciest. It's a good size for sharing, but the preserved vegetables on the bottom was mushy and came in a very small portion. Though supposed to be a part of the dish, seemed to be thrown in just for some extra flavor. Though I selected mild spiciness for the Spicy Boiled Fish, it was still REALLY spicy. Maybe it's my spice intolerance, but this dish lights a fire in your mouth. Also, this dish is mala, so it numbs your mouth. Some people may enjoy this sensation, but it's a pass for me. The fish was really soft and tender though. The fish was my favorite part of the Spicy Boiled Fish. Not only there is fish underneath, it was surprising to see other ingredients like lotus, vermicelli noodles, and much more. The salted egg covered pork was extremely salty and oily. I was surprised to know it was boneless, and I felt like the salted egg crust is too thin, which let the taste of the pork overthrow any type of salted egg taste. The Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus was again one of my preferred dishes, though it was extremely oily. I really liked the egg, black fungus, and bell peppers in this dish. The eggs and black fungus were soaked with flavor and the bell peppers balanced out the heaviness. The pork was also alright, but more on the tougher side. If you were to come to Ping's Bistro, I would advise you to order the Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus. The floors were really sticky, but other than that, everything was alright. The water was poured messily, but I guess it's no big thing. The staff were really quiet and avoided interaction. When they serve your dish, they never wait an extra second before they leave for any questions or requests. They just drop the dish and zoom away. From my review, just remember: saltiness. I'm not convinced that I'll come back again, but I'm glad I tried it out.

We started with the One Piece Mixed Salad (tofu skin, vermicelli noodles, woodear mushrooms, carrots, celery, seaweed, and peanuts, all mixed in a savory, acidic, and spicy dressed ) and the Shredded Potato Salad, both of which made for nice appetizers. We also had the Cold Skin Noodles (Liangpi), a bowl of wide, chewy noodles mixed with a savory sauce and topped with tofu puffs, shredded cucumber , bean sprouts, and a creamy sesame sauce. Hailing from Xi'an, the Braised Pork Pita Burger was fatty pieces of pork braised in a savory sauce, served in a dry round of "pita," but even better was the Spicy Cumin Lamb Pita Burger, which contained a tantalizingly spicy, flavorful filling of tender spiced lamb. The Signature Beef Bone Noodle Soup came with noodles in a simple broth, topped with three bone-in beef ribs. The meat on the ribs was rather tough and sinewy, and the soup on the bland side, but the presentation of the dish was definitely impressive. Finally, the House Special Braised Dry Noodle was a bowl of noodles topped with a savory sauce with lots of different dried ingredients including tofu, s mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and red bell peppers. For each noodle dish, you could select from a variety of noodles, but my favorite by far was the 2cm "General Wide" noodles, which had an amazing chewy texture. Overall, this was a great restaurant for authentic Northern Chinese noodle dishes and other eats. Everything came out from the kitchen in just minutes after we ordered. There seems to have some menu change since the last time we came. We ordered 2 dry noodles and a cold spicy pig ears appetizer. The pig ears were piled up with no fillers - something hard to find these days. You can select the type of noodles so I picked the widest while my husband picked the middle one. I love the el dente texture of the noodles giving it a bit of chew. My braised pork belly dry noodles was not dry... very watery which was not to my liking. I want my dry noodles with as little gravy as possible. The flavor was light despite all the gravy, but the veggies and one egg made it up. The house special dry noodles had just the right amount of gravy for taste but not enough ingredients. I was wondering why the restaurant is called One Piece... I guess the entire bowl of noodles is one piece noodle as it was hard to eat as all the noodles are tangled. No complaints here just need to be careful with the splashes on your shirt. Overall the food was good, service was decent as we were offered actual menu instead of only using QR code to order. The place was not small with plenty of table. A bit noise as with all Chinese restaurants.
