I ordered every day in this restaurant, there is a guy his name is Adam. He has really good customer service and the food is really great protein.

Craved gyro. Ordered a beef gyro platter with the fixings. The server was super attentive, nice, and friendly. However, having been here a couple of times (+3), it's fairly inconsistent. The rice this time was rock hard and super oily. My saliva turned yellow. Months ago, the rice was so delicious. Additionally, lettuce was chopped into smaller leaflets and now it's huge bite sized pieces. Gyro itself tasted like gyro (spices are on point); but, most of the pieces were cut very tiny and charred to blackness. I didn't care to ask for hummus but it's strange how some will happily give whereas some won't since they will charge you. I wish there were cucumbers as an option. I appreciate the extra white sauce and red sauce packets given without asking. I also applaud how their plastic forks are wrapped in plastic. No bag charge! Lots of workers eating in. Some talking up a storm as in a meeting. Casual dining to a tee. Great for large groups. Lots of tables and chairs plus both indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of parking as it's located adjacent to multiple plazas and across from Target. Signal is terrible as I was on the phone with the calls dropped.

I've loved Halal Guys since the original cart in New York, but the store locations never lived up to that original hype when I first tried them. The food was dried out or stale tasting most, so I decided to take a break from Halal Guys for many years. Then I gave them another shot this year, and ordered a platter with beef, rice, and pita. The food was great - fresh, hot, and delicious. But I tried them again a month later, and the food was dried out and stale tasting again. I sent a message via their website about this experience and never heard back. So I'm hesitant to try them again, since I don't know what version I'm going to get. Will it be the hot, fresh, and delicious? Or will it be the old, stale, dry version?

    Small chicken platter with Hummus

We stopped by Halal Guys for lunch after shopping at Target and I ordered the regular combo platter with chicken and beef. My wife had the small chicken platter with hummus, and we both enjoyed our delicious meals. The ingredients were fresh, and everything tasted great! I especially love their spicy sauce, it has the perfect kick! And of course, their white sauce ties everything together so well. The service was fast, making it a great spot for a quick and satisfying meal.

We got the small beef gyro platter (with added jalapenos), and spiced sizzlin' chicken sandwich, and devoured both dishes on a Saturday evening. The platter was really good, flavorful beef, fresh veggies, mild jalapenos, filled to the brim with extra white sauce as requested. They even gave extra packets of white sauce and hot sauce without us asking. They are always consistent with this dish when I come here (or any location), which I appreciate. The sandwich was humongous, overfilled, seemingly larger than my platter. But that didn't stop us from finishing every last bite of our meals. Be prepared to use utensils though, as it might get messy. The place was bright and clean with ample seating available, no waits, and efficient service. Also, tons of parking outside in the Pacific Commons parking lot shared with Target and other businesses.

I came here on a random Saturday afternoon. It wasn't as crowded and the staff there was hella attentive. I ended up getting a combo plate chicken and falafel. They packed it hella much which is hella good. The place and drink machine was super clean. Overall it was a good experience.

This is the first time I've ever had Halal Guys in the last few years and I got to say this definitely hit the spot. They have friendly staff at this brand who actually even gave us an extra packet of white sauce for free and the service was pretty fast as well. My boyfriend and I ordered one regular bowl to share. We did the large combo platter with half chicken, half beef and we were pretty full afterwards. The only con is maybe the outside patio is not well maintained.

Regular Platter with chicken & beef with baba ghanoush topping

This is like Middle Eastern fast food, but better. You choose either a regular or small platter or a wrap. Then you choose the meats (pick any 2) and miscellaneous add ons. It comes on a bed of lettuce, tomatoes, and rice. You also get pita bread and their famous white sauce (mostly sour cream and mayo). We got the regular platter and it's huge. We got multiple meals out of it. They don't skimp on the meats, and when mixed it with the rice and salad ingredients, it's a really tasty meal. I added the baba ghanoush topping, which was good and had a good eggplant flavor. Overall, a very good meal that's flavorful and not heavy.

Anyone know why this place temporarily closed so often lately?

They were hit with a power outage during the peak of the heat waves last week.

Is their white sauce dairy free?

Ingredients contain soybean, canola oil, egg yolk, vinegar, water, salt, sugar, natural flavors, black pepper and common condiment additives like disodium EDTA, xanthan gum and sodium benzoate.

Does this Halal Guys location accept Halal Guys' rewards now? They weren't accepting them around the time it opened.

    Yes they do

    Are the meats Halal?

Is the meat at halal guys spicy? Like without any sauce?

The food is not spicy. The only sauce is the Hot Sauce that is extremely spicy.

For all you can eat it is honestly the best of all the options in my opinion. Cleanliness 11/10: The cleanliness of this place is unmatched by any AYCE restaurant I've eaten at. I had to include a picture of the sauce bar because it is really surprising how there is no splattering around the table. Every surface including the sauce bar and other bars were pristine. AYCE options 10/10: The meat choices are beef, lamb, and chicken. The cuts are a bit lean, but honestly I like that better for ayce since it is a bit cleaner tasting and leaves less oil in the broth. They serve the meats in neat labeled trays which I really like. Wide range of vegetable and other hotpot options that are all ayce, notably king oyster mushroom slices, wood ear mushroom, white fish, beancurd skins, large leaf spinach, bomchoy, a variety of noodles. They also have soft serve ice cream and other deserts and fruit. Sauce bar has a good variety. It has all the options you might find at a place like haidilao. The soy and vinegar are on a separate table in drink dispensers, you might miss it. I recommend for people who are not experienced with hot pot to do a 3:1 ratio of soy sauce and vinegar with a squeeze of lemon as well as some chili, cilantro, green onion, and garlic. The sesame dressing is great on its own with vegetables. Broth 9/10: I recommend spicy or mushroom broth. It is similar to what you would get at a place like haidilao but much less oily, it is still quite spicy and a good amount of oil.

My family and I, two adults and two young children, came here during Ramadan for iftaar. Before arriving, I specifically called ahead to ask whether we needed to come early because I understood restaurants can become very busy during iftaar time. I was told that arriving 10 to 15 minutes before iftaar would be perfectly fine and that our food would be ready around the time of breaking fast. Based on that reassurance, we came about 20 minutes before iftaar expecting a smooth experience. Instead, the moment we walked in, it felt like we were invisible. The restaurant was crowded but not chaotic. We sat down and waited while servers walked past us repeatedly without acknowledging us. Eventually, I had to flag someone down myself just to place an order. I even asked directly how long the food would take because we were fasting all day and had two small children with us. The server confidently assured us the food would arrive around iftaar time. That never happened. When iftaar finally arrived, all we received were dates and water. No appetizers, no main dishes, nothing. We continued waiting while table after table around us received their food. Meanwhile, our children became increasingly upset and hungry. Anyone with young kids knows that after a full day of fasting, asking them to wait another 20, 30, even 50 minutes is nearly impossible. Our kids were crying, exhausted, and confused as they watched other families eat while we sat there with empty plates. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of honesty and accountability. Every time we asked about our order, we were told, "It's coming soon." Then eventually the server disappeared entirely for nearly 20 minutes and avoided us altogether. A woman later approached us, but instead of apologizing or taking our concerns seriously, she became dismissive and defensive. By this point, nearly 50 minutes had passed since we ordered, and she still insisted we "shouldn't complain" (in Farsi) because the food would come "soon." That response was honestly more upsetting than the delay itself. A simple apology, honesty, or basic compassion toward a fasting family with small children would have gone a long way. We eventually left the restaurant feeling humiliated, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. What saddened me most is that this happened during Ramadan, a month centered around patience, generosity, hospitality, and good character. In Afghan culture and Islamic ethics, guests are supposed to be treated with dignity and care, especially during iftaar. Halal is not only about the food being permissible. Halal is also about honesty, fairness, respect, and how people are treated. Sadly, this restaurant failed in all of those areas. We will never return, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for respectful service or a welcoming family environment.

We were a party of three and we had the lunch combos -- shrimp and scallop and chicken and shrimp. Large portions, wonderful quality meat and seafood -- very delicious, with no leftovers. With no room for dessert this time, perhaps next time. Looking forward to dining here again, would highly recommend. Worth the trip, the food is delicious!

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is tranquil, clean, and modern. The staff were extremely friendly and since it's not a large restaurant, it felt like they were very attentive. I noticed this restaurant offers a small room for those who need to pray. It's also a halal restaurant so you'll notice this on the menu since they do not offer alcohol or pork items. One of my favorite discoveries of this restaurant is the chicken teriyaki roll. I feel like more restaurants need to offer this! I loved it! Their hibachi is flavorful and meat is tender. You get the same great flavor of a typical hibachi without having the awkwardness of a chef cooking in front of you or wreaking of food smell on your clothes when you go home. This environment is like a typical restaurant where the food comes from a kitchen in the back so it completely eliminates that. Large groups beware - This restaurant is small so and we witnessed a table of 8-10 get separated since they could not seat them together. I'm sure a reservation ahead of time would have helped this situation. Food is really great quality though and we will definitely be back!
