We discovered this place via Groupon and this place is absolutely amazing. George Salek was so nice and very knowledgeable with Mediterranean cuisine. We've never tasted better. Also, very good to know is they cater. The food is outstanding quality and quanity along with George's wonderful personality truly won us over. We will be back and I hope others will visit there too.

I was craving a gyro for lunch today so ordered on Grubhub via Yelp. I also added a side salad so I could feel like I was being a little healthy. I've never been here before and was surprised to see how many tables they had around noon. My side salad was a $3 add on and worth it. The produce was fresh and I enjoyed the dressing which was some kind of creamy vinaigrette. The gyro was good, but the meat was a bit more steamed than I'm used to. It was quite soft and while it tasted good, it was hard to enjoy the texture. Overall, for a quick $11 lunch I enjoyed the food and would go back for a second try.

Interesting place attached to the comedy club. We went for lunch and had gyros. They were all very good. Staff was friendly and quick for lunch. Bathrooms and overall restaurant was clean.

Greek salad. Wish they put dressing on the side.

Food was pretty good. Service was pretty good. But, the place didnt' seem that clean. So, it brings it down to "a-Ok." The tablecloth looked like it had some old drink stains. And, my bf dropped his fork and said the carpet was dir-tay! Hence, we couldn't apply the 10 second rule because quit frankly 10 seconds would be have been too long for a clean fork to be on that dirty floor. Other than that...my CHICKEN SOUVLAKI (marinated chicken tenders) were pretty good and not dry. It came on top of some rice and came with pita bread and tzatziki sauce. The bread was fresh and soft, which is always great. The lunch plate was like $9.50. Overall, this place didn't make a great impression on me. Just an okay one. TIPS: We sat kind of away from the main dining area closer to the stage. Maybe sit closer to the main area by the door. Might be cleaner??

I'm a huge fan of Greek food, I love that San Diego is filled with so much great food from different countries that makes this place a must visit and must eat and must see San Diego. I have eaten plenty of Greek food from many different places over the years. Based upon the food alone I will give it four stars, the reasons are for one the food came out extremely hot and fresh, they put plenty of gyro meat inside of the pita , The Tzatziki sauce was very delicious and had plenty of flavor, and without that it's just not the same. As far as the service I was greeted by two different women which were very kind and very nice and took good care of me while I ordered my food. The one thing that I was a bit disappointed in is it took a bit longer than I was expecting To get my order, it was not over dramatic as far as timeframe goes but especially when I have a limited time for lunch I was hoping to have my food out a bit sooner, overall the food is good and the customer service is good.

We had food delivered from here, through Postmates (a food delivery app), so I can't comment on the actual restaurant. But the food seemed so simple, yet it was very good to my surprise. + Gyros & Spanakopita Lunch Combo (Served with rice, pita, tzatziki sauce and choice of salad or soup) The gyro was tender and nicely seasoned. The rice was very moist and fluffy. The pita bread was a bit chewy but edible. The combo also came with a side of onions and tomatoes which I liked. and the tzatziki sauce was good. Everything was delicious. + Avgolemono Soup (Famous lemon chicken soup) The soup is similar to congee, but with shredded chicken, and lemon. It was different to me, not bad, but not amazing. + Side salad It was a mix of cesar and greek salad. Mix lettuce with tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, olives, and cucumber with cesar dressing, Very fresh. The food portion was a good amount. Overall, I would definitely eat here again.

They had the best servers who would stop by at the tables, give samples of their beers and chat a while about the beers and other things. Then, things got changed, and the vibe of the place became too corporate, the service became minimum, and we stopped going. Long story short, we went back last Friday night the first time in a long time. The vibe was back just like the old time with friendly severs and flowing beer samples. It was good to be back. They have a good selection of burgers. We had turkey burger and Ahi Tuna Sando. Ahi Tuna Sando was a gourmet burger with a good combination of flavors. Bitchin sauce was mild, not spicy, which I liked since everything these days became too spicy. The food was delicious. We were excited to see O.G. Amber Lagar on the beer menu as it seemed like an honest effort to re-visit Karl's lagar roots by re-making its original amber lager or Columbia Street Lagar which sadly was discontinued. Lagar is back these days, and Karl should bring Amber Lagar back as a regular beer. (Please!) More nuttiness, less hoppiness, and less carbonation.

Fast service, knowledgeable, and even brought us beer samples to complement the food we ordered. We sat outside on the patio which was nice on a warm summer day. The first three things that came to mind after dining here were high quality ingredients, the customer experience/ambiance, and attention to detail. Eddie who I believe is the gentleman who runs the place was my "cashier" he provided the two recommendations photographed below (I am not a photographer) but I can tell you they were both out of this world. The Prosciutto & Fig, Toast and the Allen's Tuna Cool and Tasty. The staff was warm and inviting, and though this is a coffee shop, they came around table to table, customer to customer and asked how they were doing, and if there was anything they could do to make the experience better. You just don't see that in a coffee shop. This place is an entire experience and it's clearly built around highly effective culture. I will drive out of my way to come here, I discovered this place on a whim and will now be regular. If you get a chance, whether you're a local, or someone just visiting "Cali" give this place a try you won't regret it, ask Eddie about his story of how this place got started with him and his three daughters. I'd be willing to bet you'll add it to your rotation and become a regular yourself.

The staff was very warm and welcoming, though throughout the evening it definitely felt like they may have been short staffed and stretched a bit thin. Since we were headed to a movie after dinner, we decided to keep things light and share appetizers plus dessert. We tried the Fried Shishito Peppers, Veggie Potstickers, Grilled Broccolini, Rosemary Garlic Fries, Whipped Burrata, Garlic Noodles, Salmon Poke Tacos, and Lamb Chops. Overall, the food was decent but nothing especially memorable. The lamb chops were cooked nicely but could have used more seasoning, and the poke tacos were tasty but tiny -- literally about the size of my pinky for each taco. We were disappointed they had sold out of both the Crème Brûlée Bread Pudding and the Budino, which were the desserts we originally wanted to try. Thankfully, the Butter Toffee Cake completely saved dessert for us -- absolutely delicious and easily the highlight of the meal. Overall, a cute spot with good vibes for a girls night, but the food itself didn't quite live up to the hype for us.

Our server recommended a special habanero roll, and my friend ordered the Hawaii rolls--both were excellent. Another friend ordered a burger and really enjoyed it as well, so the kitchen is definitely doing something right. Where things fell short was the service. Our server started off great--friendly and with a good vibe--but as the evening went on, things slowed down noticeably. The host was not very attentive; we had to ask multiple times for items, and drinks were delayed until our server eventually followed up. It felt like no one else was stepping in to help. There were also a few mix-ups. We ordered crème brûlée and cheesecake, but were mistakenly given bread pudding that belonged to another table. It took about 20 minutes for the server to return and let us know about the error. While it wasn't added to our bill, there wasn't much effort made to make up for the inconvenience. I also ordered another glass of wine that never arrived--though, to be fair, I wasn't charged for it. Toward the end of the night, service became even more inconsistent. We were ready to pay, but the server disappeared for a while, and when he finally took our card, he seemed distracted and took extra time chatting with another table. Overall, it's a nice spot--especially for a summer dinner--and the food is definitely worth trying. However, the service needs improvement before I'd consider coming back.
