The Kitchen.... Pretty creative place. Busy busy. Feel lucky if you get a place to sit. The food is pretty fantastic though. So if you're looking for great food on the go, this is your place.

The Kitchen is fire AF! (Fire emoji) The guys here hit the mark every time. We only order 3 sandwiches: Buffalo chicken wrap with no tomato, no blue cheese, add ranch Meatball with American cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, green peppers, olives and Mayo- please don't ask And smoked ham, double provolone with deli mustard and Mayo. These guys get the Sammies done in less than 10 min and they are absolutely made fresh!! Want the best grinders and wraps this side of the river?? Come to The Kitchen!!

What a little gem this is! While waiting for our passengers at Bradley Intl, we had time to grab some lunch. I found this on yelp and the lady at the front desk at Signature recommended it as well. Yes, it's in a gas station, but it's not what you would expect. It's very busy and they have it down to a science to pump out great sandwiches. The meatball grinder was one of the best I've had. The bread was so soft and fresh that I couldn't stop eating it even though it was large. The staff is extremely friendly and they have a ton working so they can keep up with the traffic flowing into the restaurant. Definitely check these guys out! I can't wait until my next BDL layover so I can try more of their options.

On April 11, I rushed my family off the plane in order to get to these guys to grab a quick-but-tasty dinner before embarking on the remaining two hours of our long day of travel back to Westport. We arrived at 7:30 PM, 30 minutes before closing. Unfortunately, rather than having great pizza, great fried chicken, and an amazing grinder, we were instead served what felt more like the food that comes off of a gas station countertop diner than it did a restaurant that has WOW'd me in the past with they're fantastic food and friendly service. The greeting we received when we walked in; even though it was 30 minutes before closing, was less than enthusiastic to see us... it was clear right off the bat that everybody behind the counter was far more concerned about having their key in the front door at 7:59 then they were delivering great food and service. The grinder was OK. The fried chicken was pliable, but a couple of the pieces we ordered were dried out and shriveled up from sitting too long. The slices of pizza that we ordered, the guy didn't even bother, warming them up. Just pulled them out of the pizza slice case and threw them into a box... either that or if he did attempt to warm them up, they must've already turned the ovens off, and they threw it into a cold oven. A word of advice for the management of this restaurant, if you want to be out the door by 8 PM, close your restaurant at 7 PM so nobody comes in and bothers you all while you're trying to clean. To be fair, if you're thinking about this restaurant as a great stop for lunch, I would still recommend it as the food is ordinarily pretty good (and fresh at that time ) I've eaten here several times and I've never been disappointed.

The space was redone with a casual dining room with tables & booths and hardwood flooring and decor on the walls. The lunch/dinner food menu offerings include BBQ, smoked & grilled meats, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, wings, salads, salad bar, soups, and Texas chili. They also have a weekend brunch menu with breakfast and BBQ fare. The prices here seem fair. I stopped by Frank's Place for an early dinner recently and dined-in. I got an ice water and decided on the BBQ Combo Sandwich with Truck Fries ($15 plus tax) and added the salad bar for $5 more. The salad bar has around 20 items including lettuce, vine ripe tomatoes, broccoli, cucumber, carrots, mushrooms, green peppers, egg, corn, beets, 4 cheeses, croutons, tuna salad, chicken salad, cantaloupe/melon, and dressings. The salad bar was fresh and the chicken salad was pretty good. The tray with the Combo BBQ Sandwich and golden fries arrived. The fries were very hot and crisp outside. The combo sandwich had beef brisket slices and a mound of soft pulled pork topped with a sweet spicy BBQ sauce on a soft toasted bun. There was minimal fat on the meats. I did get a togo box for some of the fries and sandwich. The server came over with a Spoton portable pay unit so I could settle up. There was a cash discount, so the total was slightly over $20 with tax and before tip. Overall, a good place to stop for a filling meal. I would stop by for brunch next time since they have a brisket scramble and pulled pork benedict on the brunch menu.

Our server, Chris, produced menus and took drink orders. Although I am a big fan of housemade corned beef hash (and Drago's is exceptional), I was intrigued by one of the numerous specials, "The Pastor" Benny. It consisted of two separate towers of sausage patty on the bottom, then potato pancake, with poached egg and hollandaise sauce on top...and several spices. It was amazing, like a tsunami hitting my taste buds. The potato concoction was perfect, as were the poached eggs. Two of my friends had Granby Oaks, and the 3rd had several ala carte items. All of us were members of the clean plate club. Chris was excellent and efficient, and kept us well-caffeinated. Overall, great food and service, and reasonable prices. One caution...if you come on weekends, probably call in advance to see if they take reservations. They get crowded. 5 pastor benny stars

My wife and I were headed in that general direction on an early Saturday morning and this was the spot I picked. I will say, going in, I knew that breakfast may take some time and that Drago's isn't what I'd call, "diner-quick." That was ok with me because I had time to kill before a loose 9am appointment. It took a bit for us to be acknowledged and seated but I was ok with that. Our waitress was warm and welcoming and though I knew what I was going to order before I even left the house, the specials she rattled off all sounded great. I am obsessed with biscuits and sausage gravy and knew it was on the menu. It's not only on the menu but the staff's shirts all mention the biscuit. DAMN that is a good biscuit. It's a HUGE cheddar and chive biscuit (big enough for a sandwich). Paired with the sausage gravy and my perfect over-medium eggs it was a wonderful meal. My wife had the French Dip benny which she liked but would not order again. She felt the roast beef was a little tough. Hers came with a "loaded potato cake" which was insanely delicious. It's about the size of a crab cake, made with shredded potatoes and was so, so good. Of note-reasonable prices, many vegan, vegetarian and GF options (including vegan meats and cheese). The lunch menu looks really tasty too. I will be back (and I will get both a biscuit and a loaded potato cake to go, in addition to another great meal).
