I highly recommend The Kitchen Store if you are looking for new cabinets. We are new home buyers; we bought a fixer upper with no kitchen. We worked with Marie to design our layout; she was patient and accommodating. We chose the Omega Cabinets solid maple. It was bumpy towards the middle end of the installation. The installer was not able to finish the job in a timely manner. There was a mistake, and part of our order did not get made, so we had to wait for the whole order. This took an extra 3 weeks. By that time the oringal installer was moved on and I had a pile of cabinet pieces in my kitchen waiting. The manager Jason and the sales rep, Marie worked very hard and fast to get me new installers, and help negotiate final payments and within 2 days all was resolved. I am grateful for the support of Jason and Marie. They assisted a possible shit show and turned it into a pretty good experience. And my kitchen is really coming together. read more

I chose the Kitchenstore because of the quality of cabinets and the advertising of their expertise on "Talk Radio". I had researched many cabinet options, but CHOSE THE KITCHEN STORE even though it was very far away because of the quality of product and promises made. The rep had assured my husband and I That The Kitchen Store was a preferred Diamond customer and the turn around time was 4 weeks, which they even advertise that on talk radio. I paid cash for the Cabinets back in Aug 2021. The 4 weeks had gone by and I called to follow up with the kitchen store mid September and the rep said it would be an additional 2 weeks wait. I called again after the additional 2 weeks and the Kitchenstore rep had ME contact the Diamond rep, "Christopher",myself to see if I could expedite the delivery process any sooner. I must say, this is completely unprofessional to have a consumer contact a vendor. I did contact that Diamond rep, Christopher l, and was told the cabinets would be in soon. Weeks go by again, and finally, October 30th is when they were in. I was told by rep at Kitchen store, that I could pick up my cabinets myself at my own expense (there were over 25 large boxes). I complained that this is unacceptable and they finally were delivered to my home on a Saturday. In addition, because of the delay in delivery I had to delay my contractor until the cabinets were in. To my dismay, after rip out of old cabinets there was a 6 inch discrepancy in the measurements the kitchen store experts had taken. I brought this to the attention of Blanca when I noticed the numbers on the written plan, did not add up. She said she will order another set of cabinets, along with the missing crown molding and replacement broken glass in one of the delivered cabinets. I was told it would be another 4 weeks despite the mismeasurement by the Kitchen store professionals. Another 4 more weeks have now gone by and still no cabinets. I'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND DISSATISFIED with the untruthful and unprofessional delivery promises. (Nov/21) They are real quick to take your money but slow on the follow through. The cabinets I had are already installed in my kitchen but everything is on HOLD Until the delivery of the missing cabinets to proceed. (Countertops,backsplash,electrical, plumbing,etc). So much for the quote of the original 4 weeks back in August 2021. I am still waiting for those promised cabinets to date as I am writing this review. It is now Mid November 2021. Update: My husband had to pick up the missing cabinet pieces himself on December 3, 2021. Our Contractor Sonny Builders was able to resume project and finish. She spent countless hours going through and customizing the cabinets in a way that fit my parents' needs and dreams. Additionally, the installer Blanca recommended was Dan Smith. What a gem! From the moment he and Blanca stepped into the remodel, they worked seamlessly as a team -- going back and forth discussing dimensions, layouts, and designs with familiarity and expertise that comes with years of experience. Dan was stand-out as he was able to catch numerous mistakes made by the construction team, able to re-accommodate and make adjustments as needed. He gave my parents reassurance, offered advice and consultations, and genuinely cared about the outcome of their home. His professionalism was so outstanding, that we asked him to come back to do other projects on the house (outside of the initial cabinet install), including quartz countertops, bathroom counters, and a gorgeous quartzite fireplace. The office staff on his team were so supportive; they are responsive to texts and phone calls. I came here some time ago and worked with Renee. She was actually very nice but over promised a lot of things. After the initial visit- she sent me home with homework which I did. She requested the measurements, which my partner thought was odd- but I explained the reason was likely to show intention, but I was wrong. She used them to show me pictures generated on her desktop. It was pretty cool, BUT we had two versions and two separate prices. I asked for the specs showing the material and pricing, and was told those couldn't be provided, (wait what?!?!) but the pricing was typed out from a printing calculator with just the numbers, no specs. That's where they lost my business. It was certainly time wasted, so I would certainly not recommend them for any project. read more

That first day I met Ann Higginson, a designer at the store and shared my ideas and problems with her. We first hired The Kitchen Store in 2016 for a custom 72 inch, white, floating bathroom vanity and was incredibly pleased with the process, craftsmanship, installation, and price! In 2017, we started to remodel the second half of our house, including a 360 sq ft kitchen and laundry room area. *Marie Franco* was AMAZING! She completely understood my specific requests such as centering the range with the 9 ft island, which then had to be centered with the kitchen window and sink. And the different size of the cabinets had to look balanced on each side of the hood and range, because we created an open floor plan and the kitchen wall was the main focal point from the living room. EVERY single detail had to be perfect, and Marie was so understanding! Marie and I exchanged several emails working and re-working the cabinet sizes, met in person, met at my home, and the final product is OUR DREAM KITCHEN!!! 1. The cabinets were made in China and available within weeks. They were also 50% less in price than custom cabinets. 2. Soft close cabinet doors, built in sponge holders at kitchen and laundry room sinks, a Lazy Susan in the 45 degree corner were all included. 3. Marie's follow up from cabinet placement, measure, delivery, and through the install -- exceeded my expectations! And she worked so well with our contractors, who completed the installation. 4. If you're remodeling, take a blueprint and label each cabinet as to what the contents will be. It made us realize we needed less drawers or a few more wider cabinets to hold pots and pans we overlooked. LOVE these guys. We had a small, rather offbeat DIY project -- we'd bought a quirky vintage camper-trailer, a 1957 Pullman truckbed camper shell married onto a military generator trailer. The interior was functional but looked fairly ancient and gloppy-paint-and-shredded-plywood icky; we wanted to renovate and "glam" it up, ala a Midcentury-Modern boat interior. That's where The Kitchen Store came in; we needed wood veneer to clad the interior. Our project was shrimpy, just a couple hundred dollars compared to a typical five-figure kitchen reno -- but Marco took loads of time with us as we ultimately chose a beautiful and unique cedar veneer that we hadn't seen anyplace else. He offered helpful installation pointers, and was genuinely interested in our little camper project -- and when there was a slight issue with the veneer on the manufacturer's end, Marco went above and beyond to take care of us. We finally completed the camper interior; before and after photos attached. The great product, personal attention, and assistance made all the difference in the world. After 25 years I decided it was time to remodel my 1950s kitchen. I initially went to one of the big box stores and they designed a very boring railroad kitchen in my space which includes a laundry room and a large empty space leading to the back door. A friend of mine suggested The Kitchen Store. I had heard about The Kitchen Store for many years from radio newscaster Melinda Lee so I gave it a shot. I reviewed Yelp reviews and made an appointment with Ann. The Kitchen Store has a wide array of cabinets from different manufacturer's with varying quality and pricing as well as countertop options. Ann came to my home, took measurements and provided a beautiful 3D color design including a new pantry in the laundry room, a return for barstools, pendant lights, and the addition of a pony wall and banquette in the empty space. Ann took into consideration that I am very hands on and would be searching out floors, tile, countertops, appliances, hardware, windows etc myself so she referred me to the most excellent licensed contractor Alex Fossella to work with. Alex and Randy were amazing: clean, expedient, and accommodating. I'd never do another project without Alex at the helm. I did some research and chose the Diamond Cabinets by Master Brand and couldn't be happier. Since I was losing a wall I was concerned about loosing cabinet space and Ann assured me I'd have plenty and she was absolutely correct! Ann suggested roll-outs, drawer inserts, tray holders, and I have 3 massive storage drawers in the banquette. Ann was very responsive to all calls, texts and emails throughout the process. I emailed her photos of the floors, windows, backsplash, faucet, sink, and hardware for her opinion which really gave me the confidence and peace of mind that I was choosing aesthetic items. Had I not had the time to research what I wanted I have absolutely no doubt Ann would have taken charge of the entire project. (I just happen to be a control freak). We couldn't be happier with our custom cabinets we ordered through The Kitchen Store and built by Atlantic Cabinets. This project was a long time coming. We have lived in our home for 36 years and were replacing the original cabinets from 1956. It was finally time for a makeover. Much thought went into this project and many design changes were made along the way, but in the end it paid off. We work tirelessly with Kenny, at The Kitchen Store, and through it all he was professional, patient, knowledgeable, and more importantly, understood our needs. We had to have the cabinets custom-built because we required 30" depth cabinets on one wall. As a result, Atlantic Cabinets stepped in and meet all our needs to accomplish this. The craftsmanship of the cabinets is remarkable and the installation was excellent. Our cabinets were installed in November, 2021 and our kitchen completed 2 days before Christmas, 2021, just in time for the holidays. Really disappointed with the customer service and quality of product. I got my cabinets from The Kitchen Store. When I began the search, the first woman I met with basically told me I had horrible taste and did not offer any solutions, just criticism. I should note I am an Interior Designer and was trying out this place due to the stellar reviews. During COVID, that employee did not return to the store and I was met with a new consultant who implemented the design as I originally planned. I don't recall her name but she was very helpful. Recently however, the semi custom cabinets I have ordered have started to yellow. I have been working with Kenny to replace them. His style of communication is dismissive and he does not like to communicate over the phone. That said, the replacement cabinets finally arrived and the colors are off and they were damanged in transit. This took 3 months to get this far. I can only imagine the excuses and time it will take to get this right. I will update this review as the project progresses but if you must work with The Kitchen Store, I would be very selective on whom you plan your project with. Seems am almost $20k kitchen is low priority to them. read more

From our first meeting, Ann has been fantastic. She is diligent, very attention oriented and extremely knowledgeable. Within hours she had provided us with renderings of what our space could look like, and a meeting or two later, the design was finalized, and the cabinets were ordered. She was very skilled in utilizing the kitchen design software and was flexible regarding design modifications. One of the things that impressed us most was Ann's ability to understand our desire for a chef's kitchen and find creative ways to get us that. She came up with some innovative ideas for our smaller sized kitchen like adding a walk-in pantry. She listened to our ideas and helped us find the perfect match for our style and needs. Last year, I ordered a complete kitchen cabinet design, with Ann as our salesperson. She asked us to send the measurements of all our (new) appliances, for her to use in the design, which we did. The cabinets were then shipped, but we were still doing remodelling and not ready, so it wasn't until December that we unwrapped and set them up in the new kitchen. It was all fine, EXCEPT that the niche Ann designed for the microwave was way too small for the unit we'd purchased! We contacted Ann, who first said that we had never sent her the microwave measurements! That made no sense, because why would she complete the design if she didn't have the measurements? Then, she changed her story, and insisted she'd "told us" to buy a mini-microwave--which never happened--plus the fact we would not have agreed to a mini. When we tried to return the microwave and trim kit ($600) we'd bought to Pacific Sales, we were told they would not accept the return. Now we're stuck with a microwave we can't use, and a cabinet design made for a mini-microwave we don't want! I understand that mistakes happen, but Ann's defensive attitude and accusing US of having made the mistake is a problem. Plus, we have had problems with her from the start, e.g., she refused to ever provide an itemized invoice for the cabinets; and she failed to tell us we could have delayed shipping the cabinets to when we were ready to set them up. As a result, it turned out that we were going to have to store them for a few months. Ann told me pointedly that if they were warped or otherwise damaged in that time, it would be all our problem--the Kitchen Store would not help us. We are satisfied with the quality of the cabinets, but working with Ann has been one big headache from the very beginning. She is uncooperative and defensive rather than pleasant and professional. When she found out I was unhappy, she called my designer and contractor to defend herself--but never called ME to explain, apologise, or make amends. I frankly would never shop at the Kitchen Store again. The cabinets are beautiful, but the prices quite high, and the customer service leaves a great deal to be desired. read more

There are many places to get cabinets. I've bought from Home Depot and other builder stores as well as had custom from cabinet makers. But my recent experience with TKS has proven that going to a place that only focuses on kitchens is the way to go. These guys have a huge selection you can see everything in the showroom in one stop. But that's just the beginning. I had the pleasure of working with Ann. The first thing I will say about her is that I submitted an online request on a Sunday, hoping for an email or call back on Monday but assuming this would not happen because companies rarely reply that quickly, or at all in many cases. But first thing Monday morning Ann called and she got me an appointment the next day. I thought maybe she was new and didn't have enough customers so she was eager to help me. But that wasn't the case, she has been doing this for a long time and she is very busy, but she made time, and I came to find that she ALWAYS made time for me. Next I was incredibly pleased to see how well she knew the design software and all the possible parts. It made the design process so much easier. Her first stab at the kitchen layout was nearly perfect. Just a few modifications and she recommended a ton of things I didn't even think of. To be sure that her designs fit the kitchen, she came to my house on multiple occasions to measure and even tape the walls to make sure it fit. We went with Diamond, which is similar to Kraftmaid which I've used before and was happy with. I'm pretty quick to pull the trigger and we had the order in a week or so after that. I was told it would take 5+ weeks to get the cabinets but it took less than that, about 4, which is pretty quick in this business for a big job and custom cabinets. After delivery Ann came to the property no less than 10 times during install, after install to check and guide the installers and sometimes just to ogle at her creation, which turned out amazing. Of course, like any job, there were a few issues. We didn't have quite enough moulding, base, etc. And a few things had to be adjusted on the job. But Ann was there to make sure everything got done right and quickly ordered additional material as needed at their cost and hand delivered when they came in. Ann takes pride in the job, before, during and after you order. I've built several house and worked with countless vendors for various things. My experience with her and TKS was fantastic. They aren't the cheapest, and they aren't the most expensive either. But without a doubt you get what you pay for in construction, especially when it comes to cabinets. Don't skimp, trust Ann and you'll be happy you did. Oh, and you can always find a parking spot right by the door (bonus). read more

I worked with Anthony. He's great. I hired them a few years back to help with a small bathroom counter remodel. They did an amazing job. I hired them again recently when I needed to replace a bathroom medicine cabinet. I was going to purchase from Home Depot or Lowe's, but when I checked online for similar units - they all had poor ratings or were not even carrying them anymore (for the same reason - the hinges were breaking). Anthony was able to help me find a lovely cabinet - almost twice as expensive as what I would get in a big box store - BUT - comes with a 15 year warranty, real wood, made in America by a company that has been in business a long time, and the hinges can be replaced anytime. It's worth it... I'd rather do it right the first time and not worry about it again. Thanks guys! read more

Problem resolved after I posted unfavorable review. The manager called and stated that my item was in store and apologized profusely for the poor communication. Now, it's just a matter of installation... So I'm happy that my project will be completed in the near future and that the Kitchen Store personnel took action. I searched kitchen stores all over Los Angeles for the cabinets and countertop that match my ultimate vision. I found exactly what I wanted at the Kitchen Store. Then I worked with an amazing designer at the store to customize exactly what I wanted. The design exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately the Kitchen Store doesn't do installs. They contract it out to external independent companies. All of my problems were with the installer. The cabinets had many stain defects that had to be fixed. Then the countertop and backsplash install damaged the cabinets and my refrigerator. The installer had to come back several times to fix the damage. The repairs helped but did not correct all of the damage. read more
