One of my favorite lunch places. Delicious sandwiches and salads. They also have really good coffee and baked goods. I usually get the BLK sandwich minus the bacon on gluten free bread. I love this restaurant! Have been coming her a couple of times a month since it open and have never had bad meal. The menu is full of great dishes and the specials are always creative and delicious. super friendly; cool bartenders. We are lucky to have such a first class restaurant north of the Hutch. I visited for the first time recently. I did not know that it wasn't really a sit down restaurant. You have to order and pay at the register and then they bring it to you. If you decide you need something else, you must get up and stand if in line to order and pay. The food was good and the place is cute. It was quite crowded which is a good sign but be aware that the food options are limited and it's more high end cafeteria style as opposed to a restaurant. I would go again and have no complaints about the food at all. It was just not what I was expecting. Next time I will know to just get the takeout. read more

So I drove up early from New Jersey to visit my kids and dropped in to The Kitchen Table to grab a cup of coffee. Unfortunately, they open at 8:00 and it was only 7:30. I walked back to my car and a nice gentlemen popped out and said "what would you like?" I says just a cup of coffee. He said "come on in." We went here due to the reviews but were disappointed by both the food and the service. If you're local and white, this place may work for you. It seemed that those types of people were welcomed and staff were friendly with. Woman who took our order did not even look our way at the time. Waited for the order while other names were called out. I saw a staff member place a bag on the counter but I had to go over see if it was ours. When we got to our table outside, we saw that toast was missing. Went inside to tell them and it was as if this toast was part of the family and we were asking for the world. Two members of the staff had to confer that toast was indeed ordered. Took a good 7 minutes just to get the precious toast. Woman handed toast in a box without saying anything - no apology for the wait or that the toast was missing. On to the food - terrible. Bland and not worth the paper it was wrapped in. read more

Quaint and cute place for coffee, beer, wine, with a huge menu for breakfast and dinner. Our family stopped by on our way to New Haven for a cup of coffee and restroom. The decor here is thoughtful and beautiful. The staff was friendly and cheery. Bathrooms were neat and clean. In fact, when we walked in, the manager McKenna was actively sweeping behind the bar underneath the mats. While we stayed briefly at the counter, the bar top was clear of debris and had no sticky spots. Ice coffee was solid and they even carry almond milk. read more

You're even greeted by the owners husband who has Catskills comedic material on hand. Win win. After reading some of the negative reviews I've come to realize humans are slightly insane and definitely incredibly precious. This place is a gem. Due to Covid there was no dine in experience which is the reason for the 4 stars. We didn't know there wasn't any seating until we arrived. Very cute place that has tables for 2 and 4. Be warned that they can literally only serve one person at a time. "Our grill is just yay-big" we were told, when my husband was served his breakfast burrito (on a paper plate), and wondered after 5 min where my french toast was. We watched one person at another table (for 2) get his plate while his date waited. One person served at the table for 3 next to us... and then I was served; my husband 1/2 way through his meal. French toast was good. Coffee and breakfast burrito were average. Lunch was approaching and we watched a large pot of something be delivered from the rear. A full pyrex dish arrived next. I stopped here to pick up a sandwich or something light, and ordered (and paid) pretty quickly at the counter, but after waiting 20 minutes, I canceled my order, got my money back, and left. The sandwich​ I ordered cost $15. I drove two minutes down the street, pulled into Scotts Market, went to the deli department, ordered a great turkey sandwich on a roll for $7.99, and I paid and was out of the store in less than 5 minutes. The people running the Kitchen Table seems like well-meaning sort of folks, but harried-looking and understaffed to handle the few people they had at 2 o'clock on a sunny Saturday. There was only one man in the tiny kitchen serving up the orders, and he could work only so fast, one order at a time. And the staff didn't make any effort to apologize for the delay. Decided to stop in while I was passing through because the cafe looked cute and quite a few people were eating inside. The service was fine but unfortunately the food fell very short in taste and quality. For two drinks a small soup and avocado toast that we shared the bill was over $40. I'm fine with that if the food is excellent but both my husband and I were honestly shocked when the avocado toast came out, on a paper plate with cheap sliced bread as the base for that price. Love this place! The ambiance is great, the food is wonderful and the service, if not a little slow, is thoughtful and courteous. The menu is fairly standard, but each concoction feels unique to The Kitchen Table. I love the Cuban sandwich on a paper plate. Though it was on the wrong bread, it's obviously a recipe unique to this establishment and tastes great. It made me feel like I was in Key West! Likewise, the BLT is super yummy! A tasty yet creative menu with good ole fashioned comfort food along with some healthy options. I agree the service needs a little work, but other than that, it is a nice place to go either with your partner, or family.
