What a cute spot! Was driving through the area/Vista looking for a coffee shop and came across this place. The inside is adorable with a plant shop next door, we didn't explore it too much. There is minimal "seating" inside but we didn't plan on staying. There were two lounge chairs we sat at shortly outside which was nice (pictured). Got an iced chai latte - delicious, a tad sweet and an iced matcha latte - not as strong as we hoped. "The-Damn Good Sandwich" was stellar however a bit pricey. The coolest coffee shop next to an awesome gardening/flower/plant shop. While they don't connect from the inside it's still prob my fave combo: coffee and plants! Probably the coolest, most down to earth husband and wife coffee shop (and more) you'll ever go to. What I loved the most about this place is that I ordered their iced lavender latte and it's made with essential oil instead of the artificial syrupy stuff! Ok also, they opened literally the day before the nationwide shutdown during covid. How insane! It's no secret that with their welcoming spirits, attentiveness, delicious coffee, amazing food and all they do for their community that they're literally still here serving us (and our dogs)! From grilled cheese to perfectly pressed panini, baked goods to gluten free cakes. This place has it all. We got the getting figgy with it with apples and cheddar (I know, I loved that combo so much) and yes, they are in fact pressed to perfection. Also, you can take home any of their whole bean coffee blends and just live a happy life if you're not able to visit them as often as you'd like. Be sure to pick up their cute little all natural peanut butter tiny cookie treats for dogs (mine is still raving about his haha). What else to say, the place is awesome, food is incredible and I still can't get over the essential oil latte. That's what we all want, the essence without the guilt (and harm). This place is amazing. Fresh sandwiches with creative ingredients, great ice cream flavors, locally sourced ingredients, and always a few different interesting things. Can't forget the coffee, either. This business has been a huge boon to South Salem since opening around the pandemic and we're sad to hear they're going to be closing, but they have another location in New Canaan in the library and they'll be doing a mobile coffee truck, it sounds like. The service is always friendly and the owners are fantastic people. They also host outdoor events throughout the warmer months and have become a huge part of the local area. Highly recommend going if you've never been, or going to New Canaan if you miss them in South Salem. read more

A great spot for your weekend coffee run or sandwich cravings! The sandwiches were light and packed with flavor. And the coffee was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the montauk, which is one of their grind specialties and is a delicious salted caramel latte! It is owned by a young couple, and the service speaks volumes about the care that goes into the business! It's connected to a garden store to add to the relaxed family feel. read more

I really want to love this place: it is cute, the sandwiches are delicious, the location is so nice next to the plant shop, etc. However, we've gone twice now and received the worst cappuccinos made by high schoolers who clearly do not know what they are doing. Both times the milk is scalding hot and burnt. In the past we have had good coffees, but lately the consistency across baristas is awful. Please Farmer's Grind, I beg you, train your baristas! They are making horrific coffees that are not worth the money nor burning my taste buds off! read more

Very cute coffee shop in South Salem right on NY/CT line with friendly staff and delicious coffee. They have lots of local food options available for purchase as well (pastries, jams, soups, etc). Always making an excuse to grab a latte from here and the blueberry-lemon muffin top! read more

This is an amazing addition to our Neighborhood. Michelle and Erich really go the extra mile to make it special. Great prepared foods, made to order sandwiches, and gluten free options.
