My husband and I had a central vacuum system installed in our home many years ago. Last week the unit would turn on, but would no longer turn off unless we went we went downstairs to unplug the power cord. We called The Kleen It Shoppe and talked to George. He confirmed the fact that the issue was most likely the relay switch and that a circuit board could be installed in its place since the relay switch is no longer available. With the help of his instructions, we were able to install the circuit board ourselves and it works great! His expertise, help and honesty was truly appreciated. We highly recommend this business!! I needed a vacuum repair shop closer to my home. I found The Kleen It Shoppe and decided to give it a try. George, who is the owner, helped me check in my Oreck vacuum. I had a list of 5 issues with it. He is so friendly and very knowledgeable about all makes of vacuums. Within 10 days my vacuum was back home and running amazingly better for a very minimal fee. If I could give negative stars, it would be -5 * for belligerent customer service. No record of repairs, no paperwork proof of services completed. If you want to waste your time and leave with a less than repaired vacuum go here. You won't be disappointed. If you want quality service and repairs done right stay away. The owner refused to deal with the repair or speak to Dyson about what he had done so Dyson provided repair service at their facility. Follow Up: After Dyson properly repaired my machine in one day, they confirmed that the so called initial repair done on my vacuum were mangled. The entire undercarriage should have been replaced and was not. Again, be suspect and examine your repairs. Demand specifics in writing for all services done. read more

I got a simplicity vacuum from this store, made in the USA! The simplicity is way better than the multiple junky vacuums I've gotten from big box stores. I have been able to get my bags and belts here too. I'm very happy that George shared the benefits of going back to a bag vacuum versus the canisters, with the bags it is like having a truly clean filter every time you change it. Plus I've picked up some good pet supplies like Kitty Scram for when my cat has an accident, and it always does the trick. This store always has what I need, and the customer service is always great. I took my Dyson there for service and he charged me without my per authorization to remove a clog when I was taking it there for another warranty issue. To top it off he could not explain where the clog was and on my invoice the charge was for cleaning my filter. What a scam. I called Dyson customer service to work on a refund. It was only $25 but hey I would not just fix your car at a shop without a pre authorization especially for another issue that is a warranty claim. I then asked can I talk to Dyson? Which he stated "sure but I need to be paid". Well that sums it up it was his excuse to get money out of me. Steer clear of this place. I know I will never walk in their door again. read more

Wish I didn't have to give any stars! Buyers Beware at this local Oconomowoc store! The owner, who claims to be in business for over 20 years, doesn't seem to know much about fair pricing or good customer service. I purchased $100 worth of cleaning supplies and products including a Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaning Kit. The Kleen It Shoppe sells this for $34.99. Competitors sell the exact same item for $19.99 or less! The owner also charges $4 more per bottle for the Bona floor cleaners than the competitors. I bought the exact same item at Bed Bath and Beyond and then went to The Kleen It Shoppe to return the $34.99 floor cleaner kit. The owner only wanted to give me back $25 since I "opened the package." Yes, I opened the package but never used the products, and the entire box was intact except the top. What is so upsetting is that I wouldn't back down on my request of a full refund and the owner argued and laughed at me for 15 min and didn't understand why I expected to get a full refund. He said "my customers would never pay full price for a product that has been opened so I won't be able to resell this." The product itself is BRAND NEW!! The top of the box just needed to be taped!!! The owner repeatedly argued with me and laughed at me because I expected a full refund, and I felt him wanting to refund me $25 was completely unfair. In the end I got my $35 refund after I told the owner I would never do business at his store again and tell all my family and friends about my negative experience there. When he layed my $35 refund on the counter he said to me, now you got what you want, there better not be any negative reviews of my store. The 1st thing I did after leaving The Kleen It Shoppe was write this review. I love Oconomowoc and love to shop and support local stores, but please be aware of price gouging and poor customer service at The Kleen It Shoppe. read more
