    Tabouli

Ordered the gyro and side of tabouli. Gyro was hot bread soft but there was no feta on the gyro so it was missing that creamy element that feta would have added. Tabouli was dry no liquid at all in my container. The parsley was too chunky for my taste. Not the worst but not a must do. Gave 3 stars because items were fresh and served at correct temperature, preparation was not my taste.

Just a little hole in the wall, an old subway location, producing some delicious sandwiches and hummus. They have gyros, and a wide variety of cold and hot subs to choose from. A delicious, satisfying lunch experience. Definitely get the hummus! It's worth it.

01-04-2024 10:25 AM stopped in at The Krazy Olive to pickup their Tabouli (32 oz size) I have read reviews about. We split half of it for dinner and it was bright and tasty. The reviews were right on and they're conveniently located for us. They were baking their rolls while I was there. Have to go back for subs/sandwiches too.

    Mediterranean Platter with gyro

The Krazy Olive on 58th and Garnett is absolutely delicious! I order the Mediterranean Platter. The pita had so much flavor. The tzatziki is the best I think I've ever had. It was the perfect amount of spicy and cool. The cabbage rolls were both savory and sweet. And I had never had a grape leaf before, but it was also incredible! I was expecting a vinegar olive flavor, but it was sweeter and the rice mixture had the perfect amount of seasonings. I'm not typically a cilantro fan, but the fresh herbs in the tabouli were delicious. This was my first time visiting and I will definitely be back!

The staff were very professional and pleasant. The atmosphere was very laid back. I just loved it. And the food was as good as any Italian food that I have had. Elliott was our server and he was one of the best waiters that I have ever had anywhere. He was very attentive and friendly. I will definitely be looking for another chance to come back.

I am not sure what the entree was but it was delicious. It was penne dish with perhaps a vodka sauce. It was creamy with some tomato sauce and included sausage. The flavors were very pleasing. I ever order penne because I've had penne dishes in which the sauce didn't cook in to the pasta. The sauce in this dish penetrated the pasta quite well. It changed my opinion of penne. The room is perfect for the size of our group. It is not overly decorated allowing for the clubs to create their own ambiance. Ours was political. Ti Amo's has long been our go to Italian restaurant. We liked going to their Happy Hour. Except for this luncheon, we haven't been there since they started adding a charge for using credit cards. We like the convenience and safety of carrying very little cash. We don't use our debit card for purchases because it puts bank accounts at risk. If we are with people who want to go to a restaurant that charges for credit cards, we go there and pay with a credit card. When it's just the 2 of us, we tend to gravitate to the places that just include the card expense in their menu pricing.

Manager said they included their top sellers for ease and to better serve their customers (mind you with a much higher price point than we were prepared for & we're repeat customers). We understood the reason for it.. just would've been nice to know in advance, as we had our hearts set on other dishes. Unfortunately we experienced terrible service. We ordered a bottle of wine and our 2 entrees: Seafood carbonara & the halibut which was a bit dry and mashed potatoes were cold. As soon as we ordered we never saw her again, except to hunt her down for our check. She never came to ask how our meal was after it was delivered, nor did she come by to fill our wine (like has always happened in the past). Never came to even ask if we wanted dessert. Just AWFUL service!! She even brought us the wrong check. Thank goodness we caught it, as it was double the price of ours. We felt like we were taken advantage of... forced to pay a much steeper price for a very limited menu and then not getting the fine dining service we've experienced in past visits. Restaurant was playing Aerosmith loud & did not go with the restaurants ambience at all. I will add that we came for Valentines Day last year & there was not a limited menu then, so just would've been nice to know of this change so we could have reviewed the menu. Their regular menu has a ton of entree options. This limited menu had like 6-8 & all very high priced. Unfortunately they got one over on us, but fortunately it won't be happening again, as we'll never return.

Our server came to our table shortly after and recommended an appetizer so we tried it. I want to firstly say that it took a very long time for the appetizer just to come out. We got the white bean dip that she raved about and it wasn't very good, definitely didn't live up to the hype. The sourdough bread it was served with was delicious though. We ordered our entrees with our appetizer and they took even longer to come out. My husband got the BUCATINI pasta and it was very mediocre (the noodles were made perfect) but the sauce was very bland and needed work. I got the TAGLIOLINI pasta and added grilled chicken. The pasta itself was cooked perfect but the sauce again bland and was even watery. The chicken was overcooked and dry which was disappointing considering it costs an arm and a leg for a small cut of chicken. Our server was also terrible. She checked on us 2 separate times throughout the entire experience and we spent a good hour and half there, she was VERY hard to locate and it was rather annoying to have to search for her when we needed something. We didn't expect to be this disappointed for a meal that we spent $64 alone without the tip. Needless to say we will not be going back. I don't recommend this place.

Gambill's is the best Italian food I've ever had and they are extraordinarily consistent in quality across each dish, quality across each visit, and quality of staff. Gambill's feels like a hole-in-the-wall place you just feel lucky to have found and are proud to support. They make all of their pasta fresh to order, all of their sauces and desserts in-house, and all of their pizzas are slow-fermented sourdough from a 233 year-old sourdough starter. And let me tell you, you can taste every bit of that family-owned, made with fresh ingredients, made in-house, and made with love flavor in every bite of every dish. I've gotten many things from Gambill's over the years, but I always go back to my regular order: Fettuccini Pesto Alfredo and Pesto Cheese Focaccia. The noodles are exquisite--soft and tender and perfectly cooked. The sauce is creamy, smooth, and extremely flavorful, bringing in the creamy and savory elements of a classic Alfredo sauce while pulling to the forefront the herbal flavors of the pesto in a way that strikes the precise balance. There is a ton of the pesto Alfredo sauce and it pairs just right with the noodles. The focaccia bread is loaded with a savory and powerful pesto they make in-house and smothered in fresh, melted mozzarella. It's the perfect complement to the fettuccini pesto Alfredo and you can dip the bread in any extra pesto Alfredo sauce you may have. Their Chicken Piccata is also excellent! The chicken is a tender and moist fried chicken. The sauce is creamy and generous with a nice lemon flavor that is not overly tart and with plenty of capers that provided a good balance and added an additional sour flavor that helped bring out the body of the sauce. However, the biggest star of the show is the generous bed of linguine pasta. Like all of their noodles, the pasta was delicious and soft with a great texture and the creamy sauce really complemented the pasta perfectly. Their pizza is great and the sourdough crust is a star! It has a very sweet and delicious pizza sauce that really stands out, especially compared to other pizzas. Their cheesecake is amazing! It's smooth, rich, and creamy with a dense and rich center. However, as good as that was, the standout component in this cheesecake is the crust. The crust is often my least favorite part, but this crust has a deep caramel and perhaps slightly nutty taste that was different from any other crust I've ever had. The caramel flavor profile cut through yet balanced and complemented the creamy rich flavor of the cheesecake itself for an excellent top-to-bottom bite. The cannolis are the best I've ever had and I'm not even a big fan of cannolis! They have a crunchy exterior and a rich and creamy interior loaded with chocolate chips. The service is wonderful! The staff are so nice and friendly! Any place you can frequent and be recognized and asked if you "want the usual" is a special place. I'm blessed to have even formed friendships and talk about our work and kids and life in general. This may be my longest review, but it is for good reason! I cannot recommend Gambill's enough or begin to express how much I love it and value its place in my life. If you only try one new restaurant this decade, I encourage you to make it Gambill's! 5/5 (Favorite!)

Restaurant Review I had a very disappointing experience at Tiamo's on 61st and Sheridan in Tulsa this past Saturday. I was there with a group of six young ladies celebrating a birthday. There were only a handful of other people in the restaurant, and our group had each had only one glass of wine. We were enjoying ourselves and celebrating, but we were not being excessively loud or disruptive. At one point, the manager came over and asked if we were having a good time. We said that we were. She then proceeded to tell us that there was a couple in the restaurant trying to have a quiet, romantic dinner and that we needed to keep our voices down. I found the way this was handled extremely rude and unnecessary. If there was genuinely a concern about our volume, the manager could have simply and respectfully asked us to lower our voices without making us feel as though we were an inconvenience. What made the interaction particularly uncomfortable was that the restaurant was barely occupied, yet we were singled out in a way that made us feel unwelcome. I also couldn't help but wonder whether the fact that everyone in our group was a person of color played a role in how we were treated. I cannot say that was the reason, but that was certainly how the interaction made me feel. A birthday celebration should be a pleasant experience, and unfortunately, this interaction left a very negative impression on all of us. I hope management takes a closer look at how situations like this are handled because there are respectful ways to address noise concerns without making paying customers feel unwelcome or singled out. Based on my experience, I would not feel comfortable returning.
