They were here within an hour, ascertained yes, it was the submersible pump that had given out 23 years later. So the repairman asked if we wanted it replaced that day. We spoke with their office, they quoted a price and we had water again within a few hours. Received their invoice and it was exactly what was quoted over the phone to the penny. We would recommend them to our friends and strangers in a heart beat.

AC is only accessible through the 120+ degree attic. Saharan dust storm. (OK, the last part isn't *totally* relevant, but you know it sounded cool and dramatic.) A friend of mine quickle recommended calling Ruben at People AC & Heating and he was immediately available to jump on a call. Though it seems like everybody's AC died on that blistering hot weekend, Ruben was able to come by the house and check ours to see if it was a fixable issue, or if the 15 year old AC was caput. Right away, I was impressed because Ruben arrived 10 minutes before the quoted arrival time and texted when he was 10 minutes out. If you've worked with AC folks in town, you know this level of professionalism is really special. Second positive- Ruben was wearing a mask throughout the entire visit (and every subsequent visit). I really appreciated this because we were also wearing masks and it just showed they care about keeping their customers safe and comfortable. Ruben ultimately told us he could patch it with a temporary fix and gave us the price, but also let us know that this AC is on its last legs (15+ years old), so investing in a temporary repair would mean we'd likely have to spend on a replacement soon anyway. Understanding out options, a full AC replacement was the best bet for us. Ruben only works with Trane ACs, which is great because their known for their quality. He put time in his schedule and was very communicative the entire time so we knew ealy on that it would take an extra day beyond what we'd initially been quoted. I wasn't bothered because he was very quick in letting us know and because I already knew that Ruben and his team can only work in the attic from 6am-noon as the heat in the attic becomes far too extreme after that point. In addition to the new AC he also installed a new concrete slab under the condenser outside (placed on the old slab), installed our new Nest thermostat for us and gave us a year's worth of air filters for the new unit. Once we had AC, Ruben has been available to come back after a few days to adjust the airflow to better suit us. I appreciate the follow-through in making sure we were satisfied with the end product (at no extra charge). Overall, I would recommend going with People AC and specifically say that Ruben was great to work with.

I wanted to hire someone mostly to give me peace of mind and ensure that we didn't have any underlying mold issues before entering the muggy, hot, rainy summer months... aka the perfect breeding conditions for mold. Now that we have a baby in the house, I just wanted to take some precautions. We've all been under the weather fairly often over the past few months, so my paranoia set in. We live in an older bungalow style home, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to check just in case. I connected with Elite Mold Services and a member from their team gave me a call to walk me through their services, how it work, and pricing. I liked that they were very transparent & thorough in their explanation of the process. I decided to move forward and they were able to schedule one of their inspectors to come the next day. I received updates and their agreement via text message. Eduardo arrived promptly on time to complete the mold assessment. He was very kind & professional, explaining what he was doing along the way. He inspected the entire home both indoors and outdoors, as well as the attic. They use special technology to detect moisture behind walls and on surfaces. He paid careful attention to my main areas of concern including the baby's nursery and the bathroom. He did detect some moisture behind the walls of the shower, as well as some mold growth on the outside of the HVAC unit in the attic. We agreed to his suggestion to have the mold in the attic tested to make sure it was not inside the HVAC system, impacting our air quality. He took a sample of the mold (it's $80 for each lab test which they told us up front) and we had the results back within about 5 days. They provide you with a detailed report of the inspection and any lab results, as well as any remediation suggestions & resources for preferred vendors. Thankfully they didn't discover anything that was too much cause for concern which definitely gave me the peace of mind I was hoping for. Now that we have some areas to be cognizant of, we provided the report to our landlord to take further action before they become a problem. Overall, we had a great experience with Elite Mold Services and I would highly recommend them for any mold inspection needs!

I have still felt very unwell and have lived in absolute fear ever since. I am constantly checking humidity levels and trying to figure out if there could still be issues somewhere since my health has continued to get worse and worse. My master bathroom showed some water damage on the drywall near the baseboard and I decided to make an appointment with Elite to have the drywall cut out and have the inside looked at to see if I had finally found the source of mold that must certainly be making me feel this badly. The technician cut out a large piece of drywall and looked into the wall, said it looked good and saw no leaks so they sealed the bathroom off and ran scrubbers for 24 hours etc...... all the basics. When they were done, I noticed a lot of white matter on the wood inside the wall. I asked if that was mold? I was told "I don't know. Mold can be all different colors". I was offered some kind of spray be sprayed all over the wood to "treat it". That was it. Then my boyfriend replaced the drywall for me. So I paid an obscene amount of money for drywall to be cut out and I still don't know for certain if what was on the wood was mold. I could have cut out and replaced the drywall myself. I gained zero information or clarity from this process.

They really care about their customers. John stayed involved as I had to deal with this horrible ordeal at 55 West in Orlando. (Don't live at 55 West! HORRIBLE place to live! My dog died from the mold (from ROUND 2 of the mold), my wife's heart was having issues and her nose bled every day, I broke out in a full body rash, we were displaced from our place for about two months... all this and they never even gave us a discount on the place! To make matters worse, they contaminated all our belongings (we have residual mold issues now at our new place since we brought some of the mold with us) because they refused to adhere to proper remediation practices.) The results were great! I have delicious tasting water and I don't smell like chlorine after I shower! Woohoo! The service has been great and the system has been working with no problems. The only downside is that it's a very expensive system and the annual filter maintenance will run you $204 each year. Unfortunately, with the terrible water that we have here, this system is a necessity for our health!

I waited to cool down before I wrote this review. What a tremendous disappointment Great Southern…read more(or whatever their name is now) has been to me. They have been servicing my Puronics water softener system for over 4 years and have done an adequate job. However, about 2 weeks ago I walked into my garage, where the water softener was installed, to find water all over my garage floor. I found that the Puronics stainless steel tank was badly leaking at the base. This was just after 8 a.m. so I immediately called Great Southern Water to report the problem and get someone out to help me stop the water leaking all over the garage. I got an answering machine. I left a detailed message of my problem and asked that they call me ASAP and tell me what I could do to stem the flow of water. I heard nothing so after an hour I called again. Again, the answering machine. I left a bit more desperate message and asked that the 'Please' give me a call immediately. I then went into my garage and started moving things up in my garage to avoid water damage. I waited until 4:45 (I knew they closed at 5) and called again, bewildered why I hadn't heard from them. Again, the answering machine. This time I made it perfectly clear 'I NEED HELP, please call me!' Again, Nothing. The following morning I called...again, the answering machine. After another couple of calls, I FINALLY got the service person and told her my situation. (In the meantime, I had to cut and reroute the piping to by-pass the water softener system so I could continue to have water in the rest of the house). She just said, 'yeah, I played hooky yesterday and my service manager didn't answer any calls. I have 23 calls that I need to catch up on'. She said they could get a service man out in 2 weeks! She then said, 'let me talk with the manager and I'll give you a call back'. I waited the rest of the day....no call! I didn't hear back from her, the manager (or anyone) for almost a WEEK, and only then when I CALLED THEM BACK. When I finally got the service person again and when I told her who I was she said 'oh yeah, I was thinking of you yesterday'. WHAT???? She then said the manager had told her for $150 they would deal with Puronics and see if they could get them to ship me a new tank that I could install myself!! WHAT???? Well, if you haven't figured it out I WILL DEFINITELY NOT be having Great Southern in my house again and I strongly encourage you to go somewhere else also!
