This golf course offers 10 challenging holes, and they maintain it exceptionally well, resulting in a clean and fresh layout. The turf at the beginning of each hole is of good quality for your first shot. The regular price is $32, but you might find online deals around $25. They do not offer parts here so it's all walking golfers. The staff is friendly, and I highly recommend trying this place. It was my first time here, and I'll definitely be back for more rounds.

My first time golfing. I had a blast and having an 8am reservation was great because I didn't feel rushed with groups behind us. It was a nice, bright day and I enjoyed that the holes were named. Glove he got me was too small unfortunately because misplaced in the mart and marked my hands. I used the same ball the entire time, which means I didn't lose one in the water!

The Lakes at El Segundo is a Top Golf experience. It is like a multilevel extreme sports bar. It feels like a mix of mini-golf and bowling. I had heard a lot of talk about Top Golf so that when my friend asked me to celebrate his 60th birthday party at The Lakes in El Segundo, I was one of the first guests to arrive. It's an over-the-top experience; The Lakes has the largest big screen monitor I had ever seen indoors. The best part is the opportunity to hit a micro-chipped golf ball from an elevated perspective; It's like hitting a golf ball off the roof of a high-rise building. It took a little while to figure out the scoring process. I enjoyed the experience. The staff is energetic and responsive. The food service was a little off, but the fun-filled atmosphere was a good experience overall. I recommend you to go at least once for the adventure.

I have never golfed on a course before, so this was my very first experience. As a beginner in golf, I can say this course provides a great experience and a lot of fun without the pressure of feeling fraudulent LOL. If you've ever been to Top Golf, Imagine the same vibe but on a course. The lakes features a par 3 course ( 3 swings per course *if you have aim) and has 10 holes. The courses are beginner friendly and there features a lake that will take a few balls from you if you're learning LOL. They offer complementary carts for your golf bags and a complementary set of clubs if you do not have your own. They have a full bar in the front and you can order food from the Top Golf menu. The food is just ok, the appetizers vary from wings to flatbreads. I usually go for the Mac N Cheese Bites. You can take your liquor on the course with you and the dress code is relaxed. If you're looking to get the golf bug like me, check this place out. I already made reservations to return, brought myself a golf glove and some polos. They Got Me!

I don't know why this is my least favorite par 3. It could be that it's next to top golf being obnoxiously huge, next to the busy street separated by huge, chain link fence that made it less aesthetically pleasing or maybe it's the lakes in it that I keep hitting my balls into. The night golfing, however, makes up for all that. Not to mention the huge number signs placed strategically on each hole so that you couldn't miss it unless you were blind.

Great friendly course for all levels! It's well-maintained and they offer good deals. They are also flexible and I've been able to get tee times pretty easily! I've played here 5+ times now and I love it every time. Their fairways are wide for a par 3 so it's easy to find your golf balls as well. Highly recommend!!

Amazing putting green and chipping area!

We've been coming out here since it re-opened as The Lakes at El Segundo by Top Golf and it's AMAZING! Incredible putting green and practice facilities and the course is super fun. We've been coming 2-3 times a week and built a great relationship with the staff. They are always beyond friendly, helpful and make each experience as fun and enjoyable as it can be. Can't recommend this place enough for any level of golfer!

First of all the Southbay doesn't have any decent practice areas now that's changed! The 10 hole is perfect to work on the short game, there's a great putting greens and a chipping area with a sand trap. The best part is using TopGolf's range without the electronics as a driving range before 10am. Golfers ‍ enjoy our new course!

The first impression honestly caught me off guard. We had to go through security and a metal detector just to enter, which already felt a bit uncomfortable for a casual family outing. As a 6-year Elite Yelper, this was probably one of the worst experiences I've had in the last five years that resulted in me leaving a low-star review and I eat out everywhere. Once our bay host arrived, he immediately said, "I know you're from Montebello," and then told us to use the mobile ordering system. It took a while to download and get set up. I had to ask for waters, and although there were 8 of us, he only brought 5 waters. After placing our mobile order, he dropped off a few plates and napkins, but overall he seemed far more focused on cleaning nearby bays and folding napkins in the back than actually checking on or serving our group. With our first food order, I specifically ordered two baskets of fries, but they never arrived. I informed the bay host, and although he walked away, he never appeared to notify the kitchen or follow up. We waited quite a while, even receiving and nearly finishing our second round of food before I finally had to ask a manager about the missing fries. Thankfully, she brought them out quickly. Throughout the visit, I repeatedly had to ask different employees for basic things waters for the kids, to-go boxes, and other simple service items that should have been checked on throughout the experience. I ended up leaving a lower tip, which is honestly much lower than what I normally leave. I'm actually a genourous tipper but he wouldn't have known that because of the level of service we got. Someone in my group even suggested I should have left only $10 based on the service. I still felt bad leaving a tip like that but I had to base it on we received, which unfortunately felt like a one-star experience. The reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1 is because the food itself was decent, and every other employee or manager who helped us was kind and pleasant. Unfortunately, our actual bay service fell far below expectations. I didn't even get any pictures.

She knows the ins and out of the simulator equipment and super helpful to guide you through to have the best experience possible. You can even do instant replays and so much more custom options. Lots of chairs for friends to watch and relax. There is a lot of natural light here so it makes it bright and airy but I would prefer using the bay's that are further away from the windows so the screen looks more vivid.

Just to be 100% clear, this review is for the Golf Tec Studio located inside the El Segundo…read morelocation of Golfsmith. I cannot say enough about Golf Tec, the coaches, and the mission of this business. Really, I know I am paying for this service, but all they want to do is help me enjoy golf, make me better at the game, and to completely (with technology and good coaching) help me to understand the mechanics of golf in relation to MY swing, MY body, and MY intended skill level. I enrolled in the Summer of 2015, and bought a year-long set of lessons, a custom club-fitting, 4 video (on course) lessons, and all the indoor range balls I could hit. It was not cheap. But when you think about it...if I am a 95 average golfer and I wish to be an 80-82 average golfer, I need to shave roughly 15 strokes a round off my game, and no manner of lucky putting, "decent" tee shots, or really lucky bounces will get me there. Only professional instruction, lessons geared to my learning style and physics, and practice will help do that. Since July I have lowered my average by 5-6 strokes. That's almost half the way there in 4.5 months of lessons. I took advantage of the club fitting to get new irons that are customized to my height, my grip, and my swing style (speed)...and DAMN...instant returns. My new clubs help my confidence level, I hit them straighter and longer, and they only build my trust level for this coaching experience. When I signed up, I drew Matt Newby as my coach...as fate would have it. He's a great guy, an avid hockey fan (like me), super personable, very passionate about golf, and he really understands me as a person (my hang ups on the course, my competitive nature, and my athletic physiology). Matt has been paramount in this improvement process and I cannot say enough about him and his teachings. The lessons are fun, and informative. I get instant (and constant) video feedback on the hi-tech monitors that record everything from my body positioning, swing speed, club orientation to the ball, etc...and we get HD video feedback saved to my own personal Golf Tec on-line lesson bank. I can re watch lessons at any time, and go over my sessions and homework on my iphone app or my PC. I can even schedule my own practices at any location, or communicate with my coach when needed. This is amazing in every way, and WORTH EVERY PENNY. You're only going to get better at something with practice, good teachings, a good attitude, and by committing yourself to it. I want to be a better golfer (I'm not old yet, but I know my days of competitive ice hockey are coming to a close). I want to have golf as a recreational sport for many years and I wish to enjoy it thru being decent at it, and doing my best. Matt is helping me through his teaching, GolfTec is helping me through the myriad of tools, and I am helping myself by committing to it. This is TRULY one of the best choices I have ever made.

The Director (Josh) informed me that the suspension ended after 60 days (this was never mentioned to me and mind you - no one reached out as promised) and that I had "abandoned" 18 lessons. Reading the reviews with time and waiting we didn't have to deal wait that as the first group out…read more For the money you kinda expect a better experience and a bit of a nicer pro shop, food, etc. No direction was given it was check in and see you later. The course is very challenging, narrow, long, and unforgiving out of bounds. The greens were in good shape and very fast. To be honest with a decent amount of good rain you would think the course would be dialed, but to be honest it was kind of rough. Tons on divot marks that never grew back, patchy approach areas, and just ok tee boxes. As with many other posters for the same price go to Moorpark or Rustic.

I played here yesterday, and I just had to come back here to Yelp to set the record straight,…read morebecause the current 2.5 star rating just doesn't feel like a fair representation of what this course truly has to offer. I've never played here before, but GolfNow was offering a nice discount, so I decided to take a chance on it despite the poor reviews and low star rating, and I was pleasantly surprised by how far it exceeded my very low expectations. Here's what you can expect if you decide to play here: Pre-Round: - Quality warm-up/practice areas. At the range you're hitting decent quality balls, off real grass (not mats) out into a lush grassy range with nicely visible yardage targets. - Putting practice is on a tight, fast green that's well maintained. Only critique here was there weren't many holes to aim to... I counted maybe 4-5 total, which is not much. - Clubhouse was a lovely Spanish style building, with clean bathrooms, nice pro shop with friendly staff, and a cafe/food window set next to a nice outdoor patio eating area. The Golf: - Walking is not permitted (for pacing reasons, I assume) but the electric golf carts are HIGH-QUALITY, not beat up, cheap public course shame trains. They each have full color screens with GPS enabled course maps, providing you with hole layouts and yardages. They are stocked with complimentary bottled water, towels, and tees. Before you even swing a club, this feels like a premium experience. - The course conditions were beautiful. They're not perfect... you're not playing Augusta National here, but it was well above average for a public course. Tee boxes were level, green, weed free and well maintained. If you're used to playing public courses where you have to dance a two-step around the tee box for 2 minutes trying to find a level spot to hit from, you'll feel spoiled by the beautiful tee boxes. -Fairways are tight, a bit hard (you're in desert terrain) and very green. Didn't see a lot of dead grass out there, but then again it did rain recently. -The first cut rough is pretty well maintained, with some weeds around the edges, but for the most part very playable. -Bunkers has a few large rocks in them here and there, but were pretty fluffy and soft for the most part. One bunker I landed in was so soft, my ball plugged into the sand a good inch or two. -The course design is really interesting and unique, and WILL BE A CHALLENGE for most weekend golfers. You need to be accurate off the tees and have a decent approach game. If not, bring a lot of balls because the desert OB areas are cruel and will mercilessly collect your entire last order of golf balls off Amazon. - The pace of play was actually great. We never felt rushed and never felt like we waited more than a few minutes for the group ahead to finish. We played on Sunday, teeing off just before noon, so you'd expect it to be busy, but it was pleasantly un-crowded. -I appreciated the little details that this course has paid attention to, like areas around the tee boxes and beside cart paths that often have beautiful hard-scape features, like rocks or pavers, which is a classy touch. Other on-course amenities: - Ball washers were regularly placed throughout the course - At least one set of bathrooms was out on the course (thank you very much). - Beverage carts came around at least twice to check on us and offer us food during the round... another premium that you don't get on cheap public courses. One STRANGE experience: We finished our round around 4:30PM and when we rolled in toward the clubhouse, the place was an absolute ghost town. Not a soul was in sight. Pro shops was dark, locked up and closed. Food service window was closed, security cage pulled over the window. There were no human beings anywhere when I pulled my cart up to the cart return--- just felt odd that nobody was around. Other than that, Angeles National served up a great day of quality golf with premium amenities. It's not cheap, but it's also not as expensive as you might expect for a high quality course. With our GolfNow "HotDeal" it was around $120 and I consider it a steal at that price. If that price tag is a stretch, then reward yourself with a round here once in a while and enjoy the incredible mountain views, picturesque desert, and course conditions that far exceed expectations of a public course.
