Excellent water and city views! First time eating at this restaurant and highly recommend you make a reservation. It gets very busy. Staff were very nice and accommodating. I first ordered the shrimp tacos which came with a sauce that made it too spicy for me. I asked if I could order the Hot Honey Crispy Chicken Sandwich because my sister and friend ordered it and said it wasn't spicy. They allowed me to order it, and it was so good. It has a good flavor and came with curled potato fries which were delicious. My daughter said the shrimp tacos were very tasty and she liked the spicy kick to it. It's a little pricey, but definitely worth a visit.

Made a reservation for two the night before. We were able to add another couple with no problem. We decided to sit at the outside bar. The night weather was a little chilly, but they had the space heaters on , which was perfect. Great bartender, made us delicious cocktails. Nice view from the rooftop. I had the bone in pork chop. It was delicious. We also had some flatbread and salads which were very good. Cool spot to either hang with some appetizers and drinks or have a good dinner with a view.

Went there over the weekend to celebrate my birthday and really enjoyed myself. Server was great! very friendly and helped us make some good selections. The atmosphere felt cozy and intimate despite the fact that a large event was going on, on the other side of the restaurant. The hotel itself is gorgeous! The only drawback was that we didn't get to sit outside, but that's an us thing. not a them thing. definitely will be going back and booking outdoor seating to enjoy that vibe.

First of all, AMAZING VIEW !! Usually rooftop restaurants in my experience are congested and dirty, but this place was far from that. Beautiful ocean and downtown views. We had amazing service, which really set the tone for our lunch. My husband ordered an appetizer of oysters, then Tuna Poke which he enjoyed with a nice cocktail. I ordered a mocktail to go along with the seared ahi Niçoise salad. Super refreshing and delicious! Parking was a bit odd, give yourself 5-10 minutes for that. But overall great experience and must visit restaurant!

Enjoyed our stay at the Melby for Thanksgiving and the rooftop was definitely something worth checking out. The rooftop is cozy and a cute spot to grab dinner! We were seated quickly and our server was really nice too. I really enjoyed the wings and the flatbread was also good with the perfect amount of crispy for the crust. The fries were truly the star of the show! Super crispy, the shape was great and we really enjoyed the sauce. The smoke old-fashioned was also very good and we appreciated that they actually smoked it. This sangria was also very good. No complaints!

We visited The Landing Rooftop in Palm Bay during a staycation! From the atmosphere to the service, everything was spot on. The Food We started with the Peach Burrata Salad, which was incredibly fresh and the perfect way to kick off lunch. For our mains: Caramelized Goat Cheese Beet Salad: This was a standout. The goat cheese had actual caramelized pieces on top--almost like it was brûléed. It added a delicious, crunchy sweetness that paired perfectly with the beets. Steak Burger: My husband really enjoyed this; it was hearty and cooked perfectly. Crispy Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich: My friend loved the balance of heat and sweet. We finished with the Hummingbird Cake for dessert. Our server described it as "banana bread on crack," and she wasn't lying! It was absolutely phenomenal. The Service A huge shoutout to our server, Stephanie. She was so sweet and hospitable, checking in on us several times and engaging in just the right amount of light small talk. She made us feel very welcome and well-taken care of. Bottom Line Delicious food, great vibes, and excellent service. We loved our experience!

Had a fantastic time at the landing!! Stopped in for happy hour and it couldn't have been better! Sweeping views of the ocean at sunset with fantastic appetizers. The burrata and bruschetta were highlights. Our server was so attentive even though they were hosting a wedding at the same time. Will definitely be back!

Feedback from a General Manager: I'm giving this feedback not just as a guest, but as someone who manages six locations and understands. Your rooftop space is beautiful and has incredible potential, but my recent visit highlighted several issues that absolutely need attention. Here's what we experienced: The food was overcooked, which is a basic execution issue. Food tasted very plan. We sat 15-20 minutes before receiving water, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Our food took an extremely long time to come out on what was essentially a very slow morning. The staff seemed disengaged, and low-energy, which immediately affects the guest experience. Based on other reviews, it appears management responds in comments but may not actually follow up with guests directly, offer recovery, or invite them back -- a big missed opportunity. I even tipped to help the server, but the service itself didn't earn it. That tells me this isn't just an "off day" -- it points to deeper inconsistency and a lack of leadership presence. Other Guests Are Reporting Similar Issues After my visit, I went through recent reviews across multiple platforms, and the patterns match what I experienced: "Consistently slow service even with new management." (Yelp) "Food is a little overpriced or just average for the cost." Employee reviews on Indeed mention low morale, poor management communication, and staff feeling disrespected, which could explain the disengaged atmosphere. A TripAdvisor review mentioned the difficulty of even flagging down a server or getting the check, which mirrors what we experienced. These are not isolated incidents -- they're systemic issues showing up repeatedly. Why This Matters You have a gorgeous space and a concept that should absolutely be thriving(which may be). But without stronger leadership, better training, faster service, and real guest recovery, these issues will continue to hurt your reputation and business. This should be a 4.5-5.0 star. You guys got this!! Keep pushing!! A few intentional changes -- re-engaging staff, tightening execution, boosting morale, and personally reaching out to unhappy guests with a comp or voucher -- could dramatically transform this place. I'm giving this feedback because I can see the potential here. I'd love to see management take these concerns seriously and turn this restaurant into the standout it should be. May God bless you and your team. Take care and God Bless.

The hot honey crispy chicken sandwhich was amazing...messy...but delicious. You can see the water from the patio and it has nice ambiance even if you decide to sit inside. Service was fast and accommodating.

Gorgeous view of Melbourne up here :O Located at the top of Hotel Melby (no reservation required to access the bar). We stopped by for a quick drink before dinner. The decor is contemporary and simple, if a little corporate (kinda that generic hotel vibe?). But clean and well-maintained. We seated ourselves at the fire pit and ordered drinks at the bar. No table service outside. Drinks were good, but took some time to prepare. After finding out the fire pit was broken, one of the staff rushed over from across the bar to kindly offer to manually ignite it. It was a small gesture, but I appreciated how attentive he was of guests. He mentioned that it'd broken recently-- I couldn't help but wonder why the knob wasn't labeled and open to public to fiddle with. Kinda dangerous to just let customers potentially light the whole place on fire LOL. NOTE: At the time we visited, half of the tables on the balcony were marked as reserved. But for the two or so hours we were there, they remained empty. We found out that they're preemptively blocked for reservations-- maybe call ahead of time if you want better seats?

Great views. The location is perfect and if you stay at the hotel even more convenient. Right next to downtown Melbourne. All their drinks were so good. They have lots of cocktails but Wine list was ok. The service was good and She was very attentive. As for the food most were a miss. The crab cakes(no flavor) and oyster Rockefeller were a bust. The tuna tartare and wings were great. Also had the steak ehhh no flavor either. Friend had the pork chops and that was great. But it's bar food so nothing too amazing.

Is there any shade in The Landing (roof top) during the day?

Hi Rich A. We have umbrellas to provide shade during the day.

Is there an age restriction (ie. 21 yrs and older?)

When my wife and I looked into this place it didn't look like there were any age restrictions for guests.

The fatty portion of my Prime Rib was excessive. I get that ribeye-style cuts derive flavor from fat, but this was to the point where it overwhelmed the dish and left me wishing I had ordered the lower-cost ribeye instead. On top of that, it came out medium instead of medium-rare, which didn't help. That said, others at the table ordered the NY Strip and Ribeye, and both looked excellent--cooked properly and more in line with what I'd expect from a steakhouse at this level. Highlights of the meal: Brazilian sliders were fantastic--definitely a must-order appetizer Oxtail stroganoff was rich and well executed Mac & cheese was a solid side Cocktails were creative and well made Overall, I've had better steaks at lower price points, but also worse ones at higher-end spots. Based on what I saw from other dishes, I'd absolutely give Ember & Oak another shot--just not with the Prime Rib next time.

I was going to order a second dose for "research purposes." Truffle Honey Chicken Tenders (Not Your Childhood Lunchbox) is the most misleading name ever because "tenders" sounds like something you eat in a drive thru parking lot (I'd pick Bojangles of course). These were crispy, sticky, sweet, slightly spicy, and basically the PhD version of chicken fingers a bit dry but the sauce make it good. Brussels sprouts usually remind people of childhood trauma. These charred brussels sprouts with honey, soy, ginger, and peanuts tasted like the chef personally apologized to every person who had ever been forced to eat boiled vegetables in 1987. Smoky, sticky, crunchy, slightly sweet. I would willingly eat vegetables here again, which is a sentence I never thought I would say out loud! The women weren't behaving so thy split a smash burger and truffle fries, which means our ordering strategy was clearly "yes." The burger had that glossy brioche bun that looks like it was polished before serving, and the fries were exactly the kind that disappear before you realize you have eaten most of them. A smash burger is supposed to drip greese down your arm and this didn't. This strategy ensured my spot on the couch for bedtime. If you go, order two doses of the dates so you don't have to bring a date.
