Noisy, a lot of well-dressed young people. However, there was a definite vibe of tourists (obviously) which gave a confusing vibe. It wasn't "electric", just active and loud. We came here twice during our hotel stay and enjoyed an early dinner / happy hour combo as well as an evening nightcap beer. For dinner, our server was excellent and the food was nice, along with a great view from the terrace. It was relaxed and quiet. It was a very enjoyable way to spend our early evening. The evening beer/ nightcap had a much more energetic vibe, the crowd dressed to the nines and moving with the beats of the music. Traveling for business often means getting a late dinner at the hotel, but going to The Landing is not settling. In fact, it's something I look forward to doing. First, the staff is wonderful, kind, listens well, and allows me to unwind after a long day. The hostess, Anna, remembered that I enjoyed sitting outside and greeted us like old friends. These two represent the place so well and, even with such delicious food (best conch fritters I've ever had), made it easy to return several times. The food was delicious! We got the crab cakes as appetizer, jumbo lump and yummy. Main dish was fresh fish of the day and it had amazing Mediterranean flavors, it should be on their regular menu. My husband got the scallop dish and those were the best scallops I've tasted in a long time. The only cons I have is the dining area is too too bright and the prices could be lower. read more

We booked our reservation through OpenTable, but when we arrived, our table was occupied by guests who had spilled over from another party. The servers had to move them, which cut into our reserved time. We ordered beverages and meals promptly, but it took nearly 50 minutes for our food to arrive--a burger, a salad, and a pork chop. During that time, our server repeatedly assured us the food was just about to come out. By the time it finally did, the restaurant was already closed. I am only reviewing the rooftop bar and the drinks, never had food here. I love the vibes of the roof top bar but the drinks are terrible. Been here a total of 3 times with months in between, different bartenders and each time it has been disappointing. We ordered cosmo and espresso martini's during each visit, and they were consistently horrible and very expensive. With so many other options around downtown Melbourne, I would skip this place except for a quick rooftop view and then move on. read more

Awful. We went on May 4th to celebrate our son's 21st birthday. The place was dead. That should have been a clue. We were told to order drinks at the bar. The bartender had no recommendations. He had a bamboo stick in his mouth he was chewing on the whole time. He NEVER checked our 21yo ID. So if you want to get drinks where they don't check ID this is the place!!!! The hostess handed me a menu when we went back in and asked. The waitress NEVER took our order. Another group of 4 complained and left. We finally left after finishing our drinks. Awful experience al around. Nobody actually wanted to be working- not the bartender, the hostess or the waitress. We were there about 7:30 pm so it wasn't at closing time and we were inconveniencing anyone. This place has it all! The rooftop is absolutely gorgeous with a view of the ocean and chic decor. The service was really lovely with our waitress was so kind to my husband and I who were visiting with our infant son. There was another member of staff who stopped to chat with us about our boy and offered to take a photo of the three of us at the table. Just really good energy from everyone who we spoke with there. We stayed at the hotel (I definitely recommend staying there!) and came up for brunch before we checked out. The lobster Benedict was out so I opted for the wagyu burger instead... hands down best burger my husband and I have ever had. It was cooked perfectly and full of flavor that wasn't over seasoned. The little French fry wedges that came with it were a fun change from regular ol' fries. My husband got the chicken n waffles which again, best chicken n waffles we've had in a long time and we lived in Nashville for almost 5 years! The waffles were fresh and the chicken was seasoned with some spice which gave it a great kick to balance the sweetness. We highly recommend this spot. The server was very sweet as well. The restaurant is beautiful and has nice vibes to chill with friends. Definitely a bar more than an eating place. I will start with the good...there is public parking across the street that was free. The view of the ocean from the 11th floor is great. The rooftop space is big and there is a lot of room to hold a lot of people and all of the furniture is nice. That's it. We were meeting long time friends and their young kids. No one at our table remotely liked our food, not even the kids. If a kid doesn't like chicken wings and ice cream something is wrong! My food in particular was the least interesting and it was gluten free. The first meal I had was an unseasoned airline chicken smothered in BBQ sauce on top of grits that had ZERO flavor and no salt. I had that sent back and I ordered a pork chop dish instead which also came on top of an un-seasoned mash of what looked like grits, but it wasn't. The pork chop was also not seasoned well either, but atleast they got the temperature perfect. I think the only gluten free appetizers they had was hummus. Well, the Chef came out to speak to me, but he really had nothing to say, no apologies nothing. He just awkwardly asked can he get anything else for us. The kids asked for the milkshake and 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream. It took 20 minutes for them to bring their desserts and they brought two MELTED scoops of chocolate ice cream and forgot the girls milkshake completely. The kids were upset and didn't want it.  I was quite shocked they messed up such a simple request. On the whole none of the food was seasoned or really tasted good. Everything looked pale and kind of sad and was plated as such. Our waitress was very helpful. The drinks from the bar were meh also. The craft cocktails all really contained things I don't consume. Shockingly I asked for a glass of prosecco and I was told they only served champagne and I was like what a great way to force people to pay for champagne and I passed and just kept my well drink. This place is listed as an upscale restaurant and it really isn't at this level of service its actually questionable if they have an actual Chef or just a stand in cook. Looking at Yelp there are tons of reviews pretty much with the same experience. It is good for the view, but that's about it. This was a very disappointing dinner. read more

This is the worst kitchen experience I have ever had. I've been here for 2 hours and still no food. The food isn't good enough to wait this long!!! We also had no waiter for the first 30 minutes we were here and eventually had to ask for a waiter. Do not come here. They should close immediately.
