I checked with my coworkers and they were blown away with how affordable the estimate was in comparison to their experiences with other tree services. Edwin came out with his crew and efficiently and safely cut down and removed the tree. They also cut some other scary looking branches on nearby trees. My wife and I were so impressed with their service. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend.

It has been a waste of a lot of money to have Garcia Patios do 3 parts of a yard project: add 6x6s…read morearound a new Intex above ground pool (16x8ft) where I had to dig out two sides to make level in the gravel yard, add a ramp and platform into the pool, and 4x4s to hold back dirt along the fence that used to be wood holding back the higher grass side. I said I'd pay for 2 extra 4x4s from Home Depot since they had misguessed how many would be needed - but never expected to be charged $490 extra for them (& they said they got 4 more)! The ramp was dangerous and would not support the weight of anyone or multiple dogs on it. They had no idea what they are doing. I had to tell the 1st crew over and over to not use the above ground pool's frame as a support for it. It is meant to move with the water and is not made to support weight on it. I had to go out several times to tell them that because they would agree and then go back to using the pool frame to support the ramp. Then the platform they angle cut a 2x4 on each side as the only support. When they had that plan I said that would never support the weight. The foreman said he would send the guys to get braces for underneath. I assumed that had been done - metal support braces - but saw once they left that even a single dog on it, it bobbed up and down. I sent pictures to Garcia. He after no shows, finally sent a 2nd crew to fix it. They did add supports to the ramp portion in the end - after arguing with them because they said the few screws on the side of the posts was enough to support the ramp and weight on it! The ramp doesn't sit on the support posts, just screwed to the sides at a single post point. But the 2nd crew lead again tried to use the pool frame to support the ramp. He kept telling me "metal, very strong" as he tapped the pool frame!!! Anyone with an above ground pool knows the frame is not to support a deck on it. Not to mention it would ruin the liner. I had more heated arguments showing him the frame moves - expands and contracts depending on the water movement and insisting he not put any wood leaning on the pool frame. He gave in finally and modified what he did (removed the old few screws that held the entire ramp up and replaced with a single large screw). He refused to fix the platform not being able to handle weight. His other guy would walk up the ramp showing they reinforced it but when I said step onto the platform, he wouldn't. He knew it wouldn't support the weight. The lead just laughed at me every time I asked him if the platform could support his weight or mine. He would just say "I think it will be ok for dog". Add multiple large dogs equals a human's weight. He ignored me when I kept saying that angled cut 2x4 is where the weight load bearing point is - that platform they built is supported only by a partial board with a screw in it. More fighting about that. He added wood to the pool end of that compromised piece so from the side you would think it was reinforced but it is just more weight at the end of the platform - you have to look underneath to see that little 2" section with a screw is all that supports the entire platform over the pool. Nothing was done to support the weight at the pivot point until a lot more arguing and then he added a larger screw into that pivot point. Whether that helps or hurts time will tell. They already had several empty screw holes in all the wood. This big screw may mean with the other empty holes, even less strong wood in that narrow cut piece to actually support the weight of a human or multiple dogs. This is going to break under weight. The crew didn't care and left. Garcia charges a ton for simple projects and then can't complete them correctly. My friend and her dogs came the next day, after I showed her underneath, she wouldn't let her dogs use the pool. I didn't blame her as it's not worth a dog or person being hurt due to shoddy building of it.

A sales representative came out to our house to conduct an estimate and promised to send something over in a few days. After I didn't hear from him, I reached out via email to ask for an update. After my email was ignored, I tried texting the sales representative. Finally he got back to me to say we were outside of their geographic scope and the job was outside of the scope of their services. They wasted a week of my time even though they clearly knew the location and type of job involved up front. If they can't even be straightforward about this, I would hate to think about their customer service once you actually hire them.

Our inquiry began when our home inspector identified several potential problems on the outside of our home. Green future was one of the companies we had come out to look at the problem spots and give us an assessment and a quote. We later hired them for the work that we needed, because they were the most professional, organized, and responsive. We had Green Future, led by Anthony, complete 3 projects for us: regrade a small spot along the side of our house, bury the drainpipe in the backyard and extended it away from the foundation/basement, and replace the stairs coming off the kitchen door. Anthony and his team made sure everything about our contract was in order, he got our project scheduled very quickly, and he saw to it that everything was done well and on time. The team completed every part of our project in just 3 days. And when rain washed away some of their work at the end, he made sure we'd still get a quality work product from them. My only complaint is the very short time window for the final payment--5 days, which also came without a final reminder the day it was due. I lost track of it until the company called on day 6, by which time we faced a 10% late penalty! This one gripe aside, we plan to work with Green Future again when we're ready to take on additional projects to spruce up our backyard.

Reviewing security footage, I found that one worker brought his wife and three kids (one looked about 5 years old) to help with demolition removal. I raised serious concerns about safety and liability. The company gave vague reassurances but offered no real accountability. During a return visit, their carpenter admitted to hitting my mailbox--he waited until he was leaving to tell me. Security footage showed him knocking it over and dragging it under his van before screwing it back onto the post. It's still damaged. They tried to regrade several times with just a guy and a shovel, despite our agreement that the job required heavy equipment due to nearby tree roots. Only after repeated complaints did they finally bring a bobcat to finish the work properly. The deck was eventually extended but still came up short on one side. For nearly $40,000 in grading, pavers and a significant deck project, I expected professionalism. Our first contact with Petro Design/Build Group was with Tricia, who walked us through the process, answered our questions, and put us in contact with Kathleen to schedule our consultation. Tricia is very professional, personable, and a joy to talk to. Kathleen arrived at our home for the consultation - not just on time but early. Immediately, we were greeted with a smile and a kind nature. We walked her through the yard, and she asked us what we were looking for. She is extremely easy to talk to and is very engaging in listening and suggesting options. The whole time she took notes, which was refreshing to see since previous landscapers we consulted just nodded and provided a design that did not meet any of our needs. She evaluated the slope of our yard to determine the wetter areas and took measurements. When she was done, she told us she would have a design for us by the end of the following week. We had our consultation on Friday, and she actually had our design emailed to us that following Monday. She provided a detailed sketch with multiple concept options and walked us through each area of the design. She responded quickly and answered all of our questions completely. She was always patient and understanding and never once did the process feel overwhelming. For once, we felt included and comfortable with every step of the process. Once our HOA approved her design, we were scheduled in for the first phase of our landscaping project - the front yard. She arrived the first day, preparation day, before the landscaping installation team. She went over her design ensuring measurement and placement of plant beds. Once Matt and his team arrived, Matt and Kathleen walked through everything before the team started the planting prep. Matt and his team are very courteous, professional, and extremely hard workers. We have terrible soil in our yard. It is a new build, so not only hard clay soil but plenty of construction debris throughout. They powered through removing grass, manually tilling in compost (due to nearby utility lines), and hauling away all of the debris. The second day was planting day! Kathleen arrived with all of the native plants and the trees were delivered. Kathleen and her team laid out all of the plantings according to the design with a few last minute tweaks that were perfect. She then walked us through the layout and checked if we were happy with the layout before any planting occurred. The team did an amazing job of planting everything and incorporating a few transplants. I cannot say enough about what an amazing experience we have had! We are excited to start our next phase this in early fall.

They were advertising a sale, offering half a scoop for free and $40 for a full scoop of brown mulch. I ordered 10 full-priced and 10 sale-priced scoops. Kelvin refused to honor the sale price or the receipt my contractor provided, which clearly stated the quantity and price of the items I purchased. He accused me of attempting to deceive him. This was an unusual situation. The company advertised the sale, and I sent him a text message with the receipt and a screenshot of their website. He stated that he would refund the money, but he subsequently posted a refund for $0.01. As other reviews have indicated, the product is of high quality, but the customer service is poor. Kelvin is challenging to communicate with and lacks reasonableness. Despite Kelvin's difficult behavior, the mulch was of excellent quality and the most cost-effective option I could find. Therefore, I recommend purchasing the product. While it is of good quality, it is advisable to avoid using Kelvin's services.
