A "security guard" at this bar walked past me and my friends with a flash light pointed down our tops looking like a camera. We later approached him asking why he was filming us (assuming it was a camera) and he violently pushed my friend and grabbed her from the front of her top then pushed her four more times. ZERO STARS!!! I had one of the WORST experiences at Lansdowne Boston. After being told that the outdoor tables were first come first serve, we told the hostess we would grab a drink at the bar to wait for someone to leave. After ordering drinks at the bar, my fiancé saw that people were getting up from an outdoor table and proceeded outside to grab it. Once seated the tiny blonde female bartender delivered our drinks. I then told her that we were eating as well and since there was only a singular seat at the bar, my fiance had found a table outside. She said "no problem, would you like to cash out then" and my response was "yes please." I then I carried the two drinks over to sit at an outdoor table and had walked through the middle open doors. I then returned inside to receive the two pickleback shots we had ordered. I again was heading towards the middle open doors, but this time the young hostess said I had to use the main entrance door and could not go through the middle entrance. At no point did the bartender (who was also watching the shots as I delivered the drinks) or the hostess or any waitress say I could not bring drinks from the bar to the outdoor seating...if I had known this I would not have done so and I would have never ordered as we were waiting for an outdoor table. When placing the two shots down on the table, OUT OF NOWHERE, a bouncer stormed up to me and started yelling in my face about it, in front of everyone. Not a polite reminder, not even a firm explanation--just aggressive, unnecessary shouting that I was told I could not take the drinks from the bar to the outdoor table. Even after telling him I was sorry and no one had told me, he continued to respond in a rude and demanding tone accusing me over and over of being told. It was humiliating, completely unprofessional, and set the tone for an awful night. We then went inside with our drinks, lost our outdoor table, the one seat at the bar was now taken and we were left with nowhere to sit and left immediately without finishing our drinks. I must also add, both my fiancé and I are attorneys and had just walked from the train directly to the bar -- with not one ounce of alcohol in our system during this confrontation. This is not how you treat anyone, let alone grown sober adults. There are plenty of bars in Boston that know how to treat paying customers with basic respect. Lansdowne clearly isn't one of them. I won't EVER be back, and I'd recommend anyone who values decent service STEER CLEAR. read more

However as I was trying to pay my tab literally trying to sign my receipt security dude says "yo I need your chair" actually grabbing my chair as I was trying to finalize my business. Me and a group of friends went to celebrate a friend's birthday, but were sadly met with one of the most disgustingly inappropriate customer service experiences I've ever experienced. Half of our party were paying the cover to get in 1 hour before close, but midway through the manager came and told all of us to "get the hell out." After explaining that half our party was inside, the bouncer became extremely angry and yelled at us to go outside even when one of us payed the cover. Bar staff were nice . However they don't have many beers on tap as 2 beers I ordered were out at this time. Do not advertise what you do not have. We tried the cheeseburger egg rolls they were pretty gross. The only way to make these more edible would have been numerous shots of alcohol. I guess they also take the chairs at the bar away at a certain hour. Did not know this upon entering. The guy that came over to take the chairs said we need to move these chairs. I said move them where. He was so stoned out of his mind and reeked of weed that he could not understand I was joking with him. Headed over to "The Deck at Lansdowne" for Opening Day. When we walked up the line was very long but that is to be expected at a bigger event and all the COVID restrictions in place. We waited for about an hour until we were able to get a seat. You could see that they sanitized between every party and after arriving at the table they have touchless menus through a QR code on your phone and you ordered/ paid via the website. The waitstaff was so so quick. Our orders were filled within 1-2 minutes of ordering and every seat in the place was occupied. This was top notch service on their part. The food was typical baseball classics and I ended up ordering a pretzel and a truly. Both tasty, but not anything I've never had before. The prices were elevated for the game - My truly was $7 dollars for a 16 oz can. The downside to this venue was that it was on top of a parking garage. The restroom wasn't really a restroom it was a bunch of porta potties that were questionable but they did have regular soap and used a big cooler filled with water to allow for washing of hands. Also, they didn't have a TV set up so we couldn't actually watch the game even though we were steps away from FENWAY. read more

Bartenders are great, I have been a regular there everytime I come into town. I am normally on my own and tend to just mind my own business while getting some food and some drinks. But last night, I was grabbed off of my barstool by two bouncer goons and immidiately thrown out. I have no idea what they thought I did but they didn't even try to speak to me or anything. They denied my friend and I access during the Halloween bar crawl after we asked one of the bouncers who was picking people out of line if that was for wrist bands. He freaked at us being extremely rude then once we got to the front of the line the guy checking ids said we weren't allowed in and wasn't given a reason. Absolute waste of time and horrible staff. I can only speak to the bar experience. Popped in after a Red Sox game with a few others. One of the guys was stopped for having a "fake id" despite it very much being real (though he was able to get past it with his passport card). It was pretty packed in the bar area after the game. The dance floor was about 50-70% full - there were definitely more people at the bar. So much that it was very difficult to get the bartender's attention for a drink. We were able to get one round of tequila shots before not being able to get his attention to order again. But the tequila shots were very fat! They came in plastic shot glasses. Service 4 star however nothing else apart from the fact it's on a premier location. Have visited this place multiple times and had food on all occasions and cannot remember anything being great. All being regular bar bites although you might be able to get black and white pudding depending on when you visit. Oh it feels great to be back in Fenway! Came to the "Deck at Landsdowne" for the season opener and it was great! The pub doesn't take your name and text you when your reservation is ready, instead, the line out front is the line you wait in to get seated. However, once you get seated, there isn't a time limit on when you have to leave. Yes, the restaurant is literally on top of a parking garage, but they did a great job converting it into a nice spot! I saw the staff first hand wipe down and sanitize our table properly before we sat. You ordered and paid for food on your phone and it was brought out within instantly! The waiters and staff were in masks and gloves! I was very impressed with how quickly and smoothly everything was going. I ordered a Frose, and it was great! It wasn't too sweet either. I wish they were playing the game on a TV somewhere, but not a dealbreaker. They offer a wide variety of food and drinks, something for everyone. Irish pub in the shadow of Fenway Park. This place is really dank. The waiter was not friendly and after the food was set down, we didn't see him until we were almost done. I had chowder and beef sliders. The chowder was okay, not the best I've had. The bread to meat ratio on the sliders was way off. The meat was over done and dry. I left 2 of them. Hubs had scallops over whiskey mashed sweet potatoes. He said the scallops were okay, the mashed sweet potatoes were good at first, the whiskey was very strong and would have been excellent if the booze was cooked off. Absolutely avoid this bar. I (a 115 pound girl) was thrown out with unnecessary force. The situation was extremely unprofessional. The host was extremely rude and I was trying to joke with her and she was abusing her power to have me thrown out. I had no problem leaving but the security guard who decided to throw me out was calling names such as transgender and creating a way worse situation. Once I left, I hear my sister was throw out using force as well and he throw the drink she just bought at her. She was minding her own business with the rest of our friends inside but he thought she was me so he starting to do the same things to her, being overly physical and calling her names. I could go on but just avoid if possible. I would never support a business who has people who think it's okay to physically assault women and call them horrible slurs. read more

Bouncers were utterly useless, incompetent, unprofessional and cowardly. My friend gave the first bouncer his LEGIT ID and the bouncer took a really long time examining it with his eyes. He then handed it to another bouncer at the back and the second guy confiscated it claiming that it was a fake (again, no machine check, just eyes). Said the only way to get it back was to call the police. We asked for the non-emergency number so we wouldn't waste resource on something as insignificant as a confiscated ID, but he said just call 911 and refused to assist. SO WE DID, and told the police that the bouncer confiscated a legitimate ID and insisted we call 911 instead of the non-emergency number, while the bouncer was yelling how my friend would never be able to enter any bar on the block because "his boss owns them all" and he's notified every bouncer already, even though we were literally right next door 2 minutes ago. When we told him the cops were coming, he immediately humbled and dropped the attitude, stuttering "you guys are so sure about his ID so maybe I should believe you guys" and proceeded to BEG US to "cancel" the call as if 911 was an Uber ride. Like, what were you even trying to do? Intimidate us? Brag about your boss? Dude, your inability to recognize an ID from another state and your ineptitude to perform well at your job is your problem. Take a lesson, travel a little, read more, I don't know, DO BETTER. Don't involve the cops as an intimidation tactic when we have all the ground to stand on and have your tail between your legs when we follow your suggestion. read more

If you have an out of state ID, do not go here. Their ID machine does not recognize out of state ID's and it will come back as fake. They will then take your ID and not give it back until the police arrive to confirm that it is real. I spoke with an officer who stated this has happens almost nightly with them. Unfortunately the police have actual crimes to deal with and it took close to 45 minutes for them to arrive and confirm it was real. Stay away read more
