They've since closed their Black Mountain location, but the Carmel Mountain location is clean, has plenty of parking, and is easy to find and drive to. They offer tap to pay, and QR codes to pay whichever staff does your service. I personally have the brow tab, which gives you 6 brow threadings for the price of 5. As of 08/15/2026, the brow tab is $90.

Since the management change, however, I've gone through five different specialists in the past year. I don't believe the specialists themselves are necessarily doing a poor job, but that level of employee turnover certainly raises questions about the management and work environment. What happened today was especially disappointing. The manager herself booked my appointment last month. When I arrived today, I was told that the specialist I had been scheduled with was no longer there and that I had been assigned to someone I had never met--without anyone calling, emailing, or otherwise letting me know in advance. I find that extremely unprofessional. If a specialist is no longer working at the location, customers who have appointments with that person should be notified. Instead, I was simply expected to show up and accept a completely different appointment and specialist. I honestly don't understand why it was apparently so difficult to have that conversation with a customer. To be fair, the specialist who helped me today was great. I have no complaints about her work at all. My concern is with the management and the way this situation was handled. After years of being a customer, I'm disappointed that I no longer have confidence in the consistency or stability of this location. I'll likely finish out my current wax pass, but I don't think I'll be purchasing another one here. I would rather take my business somewhere with more consistent staffing and, more importantly, management that communicates with and respects its customers.

However, I wanted to continue to write reviews and try new places. I really liked the woman that did my eyebrows, she got rid of every last bit of hair. I absolutely love their Carmel Mountain location, but I hate their Point Loma location. I've never had issues at Carmel Mountain, but I constantly have issues in Point Loma. I've repeatedly had issues with their website, allowing you to book on days that they are not open and their website hours on Google saying they're open even when they're not. I've contacted them multiple times about this, but the issue has never been resolved. I'll be honest this was one of the only places I have ever trusted to do my eyebrows and I had a great experience a handful of times I've been to Carmel Mountain. But they really need to get new management for the point Loma location. I know it is new, but that is not an excuse for how it is currently running. I've also heard other reviews from friends of mine saying that they will show up on time for their appointment and the staff is not there and has been up to 30 minutes late for their appointment. I hope to continue to be a customer because I do love the Carmel Valley location, but I really hope they can step it up in point Loma. Overall, I have a bad taste in my mouth from the poor experiences in PL.
