My wife and I were hunting for a good Valentines Day restaurant. We decided to head to Jasper to see what looked interesting. Driving into the parking lot we could tell it was popular. Fried green tomatoes for appetizer was amazing with corn/bacon salsa. I ordered the fish tacos... blackened flounder was so flavorful. Had roasted zucchini and squash. All was so good. We are definitely coming back here.

What a cool find. After and afternoon of touring a few wineries in the North Georgia , Jasper area, our group was in the mood for some seafood. So Yelp to the rescue. We headed over to The Last Catch - Seafood Restaurant. Pretty much right in the middle of downtown Jasper GA this establishment is very casual with cool nautical motif. It has a nice selection of various entrées. From fried, grilled and blackened shrimp, flounder and quite a few others. Our server was awesome. Always there filling the water glasses and attending to ever need. And absolutely fell in love with the pups. Lol. We dined out on the patio , which is mostly covered and so the pups could stay with us. So nice that it was pet friendly. Some of this entrées that we ordered were the, Seafood Platter, Crab cakes, Fried Shrimp Platter, and Grilled Shrimp Platter to name a few! All were deliciously amazing! But no room for dessert. Lol A perfect ending to a delightful day after touring the wineries of North Georgia. Thank you Last Catch, for a wonderful meal.

Thought it was about time to try this restaurant last week and I was not disappointed. Met some family there since it was everyone's first time we tried a wide array of items. We tried the crab dip, literally some of the best I have ever had. We each got an entree and we all enjoyed our food. The service was top notch!! The ambience was very expected looked like a standard fish house. They have booths although I will say they aren't very comfortable. Otherwise I will be back the next time I come through town.

We like to get right to the point with our reviews so here goes...if you live in Jasper definitely visit The Last Catch. Local folks need your support. If you're passing through as we were consider traveling a few more miles for an alternative meal. On the good side the meal overall was decent with a couple hits and some misses. On the positive side was the complimentary fish dip. Smooth pate style fish mixed with a hint of horseradish sauce. We started with the she crab soup which was outstanding. It was creamy and every spoonful was loaded with crab. We ordered the platter for dinner. It was ok. For $26 we were served two small fish filets, five amazing fried oysters, two perfectly grilled scallops, four so-so shrimp, one basic crab cake, and two overdone hush puppies. They offer an ok bottled beer and wine selection. Service was friendly and efficient. Note-credit cards are charged 2 1/2% service fee. Overall it was ok.

Enjoyed coming back again. Service was decent, but not as enjoyable and attentive as our last visit. Our drinks weren't refilled nor offered our entire time there. My wife and I both got the seafood comnination platter with fish, shrimp, scallops, oysters, stuffed crab, hushpuppies, fries, and coleslaw. Food was fresh and serving size moderate for the price. Slaw was creamy style and quite good. The we enjoyed our meals, our favorite part were the seasoned fries, cooked and seasoned to perfection. Wish there were more to help fill the plate better. BEWARE, our check was accurate. However, when it was returned with our credit card slip, a $1.44 processing fee (penalty) was added for paying by credit card rather than cash. We do enjoy The Last Catch, so I am sure we'll be back.

Had a very pleasant experience here tonight! We were hungry after a trip to Fausett Farms and Fainting Goat Vineyard. This was only 15 min away so we gave it a try. Our server, Hannah, was very nice, helpful and sweet all the way through. We were given a complimentary small dish of crab dip with crackers, a nice appetizer! Had good chunks of crab meat, cheddar, and white sauce (mayo?) Not sure but it was really good. We ordered the flounder sandwiches. I didn't pay attention to the pics, but I was surprised to see my entree! It was quite ample, with two whole baguettes sliced in half as the "sandwich." It was almost about the size of a Subway footlong, pretty big! It came with coleslaw (some ppl said bland, but I appreciate how it wasn't overly sauced up) and I got the red rice as a side, yum. I got the she crab soup and it was hot and so tasty. Worth the $5. We really enjoyed our meal! The seating was all these booths in a long row so it felt a bit private. The owner and other wait staff also checked in on us, it felt like they really cared about the dining experience. Would come back again :)

Service good, friendly and welcoming staff. I had the fried shrimp with homemade fries. It was very good. It was served with sweet cold slaw. My husband liked it but I prefer a mayo, salt and pepper slaw. My husband had the flounder sandwich and he eat every bit! We would eat here again.

My wife and I chose The Last Catch Restaurant in Jasper, Georgia because we have eaten there a number of times previously when on our way to or when returning from staying in Big Canoe Resort nearby. The food is typically very good and was this time too. We decided even during the COVID pandemic to return for a meal with our face masks on because they had outdoor dining. However NOT ALL THE STAFF WERE WEARING FACE MASKS - STARTING WITH THE HOSTESS who seated us - yes the person who greeted us in the small lobby! We told her we wanted to dine outside because of COVID. RONNIE, OUR EXCELLENT SERVER - he really is VERY GOOD, genuinely a nice young man, knowledgeable about the menu and wonderfully skilled - greeted us almost immediately with his face mask on. Ronnie wore his mask the entire time. ANOTHER STAFF MEMBER WITHOUT A FACE MASK was the "runner" delivering food - yes let me say that again: THE RUNNER DELIVERING FOOD FROM THE KITCHEN TO THE TABLES HAD NO MASK ON the entire time we were at the restaurant. Oh wait...he did have a mask but it was only worn around his neck below his chin!!! Then one more thing: the hostess brought something to our table, leaned across both of us to lay it on the table, and she still had on no mask. Come on people! Even if you think you are exempt from contracting COVID (!?!) or have already had COVID at least make your guests feel comfortable by wearing a mask!!!!!!! read more

My boyfriend and I had just driven three hours to enjoy a cabin for my birthday weekend and were led here by the positive yelp reviews. I would love to say that I agreed with those reviews and that this was a good experience but it was not...from the food being poorly prepared (mine was undercooked fish, his was overcooked steak)and bland (the parts that were edible) to the owner telling us in so many words that it was our fault we were disappointed. The two decent items we got were the onion rings and the steak fries. We left feeling hungry and very annoyed at being blamed for not liking improperly prepared food. Needless to say I would not recommend this establishment. read more

My wife and I love The Last Catch. The food is always fresh and the prices are fair. Fair to say the quality and taste of every dish I've had there has been three times as good as what you might order at somewhere like Red Lobster. I highly recommend a trip. read more

We have been here a few times and love the food! We drove 2 hours on a Sunday afternoon to find it closed!! Please correct your hours on google - it states you are open 11-3!! We watched a few other cars pull in and out as well! read more

Hush puppies are amongst the best I've ever had. Well done interior, great service. Great iced tea (that from ice tea connoisseur). Fish tacos and blackened mahi mahi sandwich also good. With a visit with the family if a local or just passing through. read more

We had a GREAT late lunch. The service was execellent. Would highly recommend everyone who loves seafood try this place. Took desserts home. They were huge (carrot cake and million dollar cake) and delicious. I had the Catch Platter and was pleased that I could get some of the items fried, some blackened. That's how you treat a guest. Very nice food, although choices are somewhat limited. Most of the time we go for their fried seafood baskets, a combo of fish and shrimp, which comes with one side and hush puppies. Their complimentary crab dip (served with crackers) is not bad and a nice touch. Tried their fried green tomatoes and crab cakes dinner the last time we went - only two crab cakes, but there was plenty of crab and they were a nice portion size, quite delicious and their remoulade very tasty! The staff, specifically a young man, was working very hard. He seemed to be running every table in the place. We felt bad for him as he is apparently suffering from being one of the few who are interested in working during the disingenuous additional unemployment benefits. The hostess/cashier was not welcoming and sarcastic. Now for the food - overrated, overpriced and under portioned. We were anxious to try LCS as we heard it was the best around. (We've been around and prefer other seafood places in Fannin, Gilmer and Union Counties. We ordered a $17 at lunch we had a sliver of unseasoned salmon, fries, modest plastic cup of coke slaw. We requested silverware & finally found some ourselves. Went looking for more water. Ended up doing without. We searched out the cashier for our check. She was flippant. The ladies restroom had a line because it is tiny. Maybe this was a bad day or maybe this was the norm. We won't risk it again. (Not the fault of our server at all. He was overworked and really cared about our meal when he could glance our direction.) Absolutely disappointed. read more

The best seafood in north Georgia! We always love the food and service here. The meals at a regular price but the banana pudding is a little pricey. It's also a neat place, it makes you feel like your at the beach. Everything is delicious blackened! read more

We have enjoyed this restaurant many times. We also enjoyed Jim's skill as a chef when he was in low country South Carolina. However, tonight was a bit disappointing. My wife ordered prime rib medium rare. She was told they could only do medium well because neither cook knew how to cook it to any other temperature. As a restaurant owner myself, that seems like poor management. I ordered a seafood platter with the oysters very lightly done. Everything was over cooked especially the oysters. Normally I would give this place 4 or 5 stars but it only rates 3 today. read more

We have been going to the Last Catch every week since they moved to their new location. Cannot say that I got anything bad the entire time. The oysters on half shell have always been fresh and even got a small pearl out of one. Good food, great ambiance, good service and reasonable prices. read more

I've never left a bad review for a restaurant in my life. Everyone has an off day every now and then, right? I give grace. However today I feel as though I have food poisoning from just two bites of the crab dip from this place! As soon as I tasted the dip I knew it was ruined. I very nicely brought it to their attention however they refused to take it off the bill. I'm not cheap. My bill was $46. My food order wasn't correct at all but I didn't complain. I ate it. And it was good. EXCEPT THE CRAB DIP! However, be WARNED... if you go here and something tastes bad or ruined, their answer is "you ordered it, you're gonna pay for it". JUST FYI. Won't ever be back! read more

Service was great. The complimentary crab dip with crackers was not very good. I think it would be far better served warm with fresh bread. The entrees were really good though. Grilled mahi mahi was cooked well. Tartar sauce seemed to be made in house. Cole slaw was good as well. We will return. read more

Went there for lunch with friends & we sat in a room in the back which was really nice because we were able to take our time without having to rush & enjoy girl time. The great reviews are spot on! We decided to stop here today after a weekend at Amicalola and had the most enjoyable experience. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly, and everything we ate was absolutely delicious (crab dip, she crab soup, grilled shrimp poboy, blackened shrimp gyro, and key lime pie). We live about 45 minutes away and will definitely make the trip to eat here again and will be recommending it to friends. read more

Really great seafood in Jasper where you wouldn't really expect it. I've had the shrimp and it's always appeared to be fresh. The food is flavorful and the service is fast and friendly. Definitely worth the trip to each there. read more

Finally a real seafood restaurant equal or better than any we found at the beach. Fun environment, great people, and great food. Excellent selection. Fried, grilled or blackened, something for everyone. Fried shrimp are very large with a light tasty batter. The tartar sauce is worth the trip. Best hush puppies in a long time. Will be our regular place for great seafood and terrific service. read more

I just Do Not like this place!! The food isn't good to me, the service is slow and the quality isn't worth the price. Parking.......well there isn't much. Atmosphere is okay but the cleanliness is just ok. If you like everything fried then you may like the food but I prefer fresh seafood. read more

Great restaurant with great food everything is made fresh daily. Free crab dip on Saturday nights and maybe other nights but we have only gone on Saturday nights. I had Blacked catfish and rice and it was excellent. Get there early it fills up fast after 5. read more

This is my favorite seafood restaurant. The food is great and the service is great. On Fridays they have the best prime rib I have ever eaten but you have to get there early to get it. read more
