Cannot recommend the Lautner Compund enough! The micro-wedding package they offer is such an amazing option and we're so grateful we found this gem. Tracy and her team do an amazing job and make the process so easy. No wedding planning stress for us. We had such a special night that we'll never forget.

This is a fantastic little oasis of just 4 units just 20 minutes from downtown Palm Springs. If you are looking for a nice quiet stay in an architecturally significant compound, this is it. The compound is 75 years old and is comprised of 4 units, outdoor common area with seating, dining table and gas grill. There is also a small plunge pool for use dueling the warmer months. Given the age of the property and exposure to sun, sand and the desert heat, it requires constant upkeep to maintain. Tracy, the owner, is a wonderful host and super accommodating. Her and her business partner have done an amazing job of renovating and updating the property. The grounds and landscaping are beautiful and each unit is quaint, quiet and comfortable. Beautifully decorated, each unit is well stocked and well cared for. We stayed over the holidays and found the property to be exactly what we were looking for: small, quiet and exceedingly comfortable. I most highly recommend The Lautner Compound for a romantic getaway.

I am beyond happy that we chose The Lautner Compound for our wedding. Let me start by saying that Tracy is the absolute best. From day one when we wanted to go see the property, Tracy was very enthusiastic and super kind and sweet. When we met her, it was an instant connection. She was happy to show us around and provided us with her packages. We opted for the micro wedding package and boy am I glad we did. The thought of getting married was so overwhelming because we didn't know where to begin. When we met with Tracy, she made it so simple for us, we just needed to make a few selections, show up and enjoy ourselves. We worked with a fantastic and sweet florist Kate, a professional chef who made exquisite food (everyone couldn't stop talking about the delicious peach salad) and our photographer Benny who worked his magic and delivered some unbelievable pictures. The venue itself was just breathtaking and more than we could have ever imagined. In short, I'm extremely grateful that we had the opportunity to get married in such a special place with those we love and care for the most and I want to thank Tracy and her entire team for making it happen. I can't stress enough how wonderful the experience was and if anyone is reading this wondering if you should consider this place, I say without a doubt you should 100% call Tracy and make it happen because you wont regret it!

AWESOME venue for our friends nuptials!!! located in desert hot springs, about a 10min uber from Palm Springs, this locale is quite inconspicuous in a residential area. the place is deceivingly large with a wide open area dedicated to group gatherings and lounging. plenty of space for upwards of 200 people. there is a separate area for the bungalow rooms. the staff here was very accommodating and available to pick up after the guests and facilitate any other needs. the owner herself helped me out with the wifi so I can get ahold of uber. super cool and chic spot.

This is the not-so-secret gem of the desert! The perfect presentation of the sought after mid century modern look of 50's Palm Springs. Tracy the owner has the most immaculate taste it's mind boggling. I own a catering company that works at The Lautner all the time, and have (in my humble opinion) a good eye for design, and this is the best venue in the valley. Also, for vendors, it's a great place to work. If you're considering it for your wedding I would say book it before the date is gone!

I can not praise this establishment enough!!!! 5 star all the way. Exceptional customer service. Our host went out of our way after our room had to be changed the day of arrival due to unforeseen circumstances beyond their control. She left a beautiful gift that was beyond necessary and extremely appreciated. My husband and I needed this get away for many reasons and it exceeded our expectations. The indoor outdoor lay out is refreshing and renewing. The architecture is mesmerizing and peaceful. You feel like your in your own private Palm Springs getaway secluded yet open , incredible!! We can not WAIT to come back. Thank you to the management of this beautiful property for going above and beyond

This place is a gem. Tastefully reworked John Lautner Motel is a must for any enthusiast and people who appreciate a highly stylized and piece full experience away from home. A nice touch are all the John Lautner books and documentaries as well as a very well curated movie and music selection in the room. Thank you for a great stay!

We love this Hotel originally built in 1947, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright protege John Lautner, recently remodeled/updated and very well done with new redwood inside and out. Heath ceramic tiles in the bathrooms.

Small old shower feels unclean as does the whole place. Smells musty and feels unclean over all. Living room rug does not appear to have been vacuumed since the 50's. Neat and nicely decorated, but not clean and fresh feeling. Old, worn, mismatched small towels. Same with the sheets. Was told there is a "day bed" that can be used for a comfortable bed. Not the case at all. It is a cool looking 50's couch (small and uncomfortable). Not in any stretch a "bed". After you book, you get an email telling you not to leave anything in the car or hide it in the trunk if you do and to close the shades and lock the windows anytime you leave. It is not in a safe area. I learned after booking that Desert Hot Spring is not a very safe. But the worst part is the host, Eric. Super weird and downright scary man. He lashed out at us aggressively on the phone when we told him we did not want to stay due to the above reasons and he got so hostile so quickly to the point we fled the place scared that he was on the way over to harm us. Never experienced anything like this before and have stayed at many rentals. Also, after you book you get an email that if you want to use the hot tub, it will cost you another $100 per day. The host is nuts and scary. He makes the place look cool but the reality is it is not clean and smells bad. The host would not refund us. Don't stay here!!

We were able to go to the pools late at night and early in the morning and it was nice to have the room right there. Everything was really nice including the staff and service when we ordered food and drinks near the poolside. The skyline is beautiful and to be there on July 4th, we could see the fireworks in various parts of the sky. There is plenty of parking but it is a little odd of a location as it is mainly in a residential neighborhood with a few options for food. I wanted to hire the best and decided on Ryson. Jason and Ryan are incredibly hard working. Sometimes I send emails in the middle of the night and feel bad because I know they will still respond quickly. Yes, they have a pre-set onboarding process, but I found it to be very professional. I wanted to open at lighting speed because I had been delayed so long with the pool construction. I bought a lot of things that just weren't needed like duvet covers that weren't white or pillow cases that were special and only in a set of two and those had to go. That was disappointing, but we didn't want sheets in the photos that were impossible to replace. It's better to have things done perfectly so your first guests will be 10 star happy and ours were. The consistent comments I get from guests are that the management company is quick to respond and resolve problems. From their website identify their properties and look at the reviews there and on Airbnb. Many of the comments will not only compliment the house, but also Ryson typically it's related to communication, problem resolution or cleanliness. I've had pool issues and after many months of dead ends, they helped me get to the bottom of the problem. With our city getting serious about neighbor complaints, I'm not worried because I know Ryson will be on top of it. We had one group during Cochella that was playing meditation music so loud that I got a call from the neighbors in the middle of the night. Ryan let them know that they would be out there right away and if he could hear the music from the exterior of the home he would immediately terminate the stay if the guests didn't comply. They were also protective to ensure the safety of their cleaning staff. It cost me money, but I respect that. If staff are treated well, they will take care of the home well. No management company is perfect. It's a demanding job with lot of surprises every day. We look at the house as a business. It doesn't have to be my way, it just needs to be safe, beautiful, professionally managed and provide our guests with a great experience.
