The general idea of this place is good, cute, picturesque. I booked because they were running a decent deal for during my birthday but I don't think I'd stay here again for a full price room at least. Pros: -Very friendly service/staff! -Really good breakfast, recommend the huevos rancheros! -We had the private room, to the far right of the hotel. Definitely private, which was a plus! -Drinks were good. -Coffee delivered to your room is actually good coffee. Cons: -Stepped on a huuuge cockroach inside our room our first night there when I got up to go the bathroom. The biggest roach I've ever seen. HUGE! -Room was very dusty with leaves inside and all. -both pools had a lot of tree trash and dead insects. Never saw anyone come clean either pool. -pool chairs were so dirty too. -Massage room smelled rancid. The masseuse said it was the sage she burned but I'm pretty sure she burned the sage to mask the other smell. I like sage scent and it wasn't that. -there was no bartender our first day there. They left because of a family emergency. Understandable, but no back up? Good thing we had backup plans for the night. We were originally planning on staying on the grounds for the drinks. -there was a bartender "on duty" the next day but she was never at the bar. We caught her there once and we were finally able to get a drink. -we got attacked by mosquitoes in our room over night. The windows in the room didn't close properly so I'm sure they would come in through there. read more

I stayed at Korakia Pensione while attending a nearby conference. I'll be honest--I didn't do much research beforehand -- It's a really peaceful and unique spot, but there were definitely some quirks. What I Loved: Great location - It feels secluded but is still within walking distance of downtown and my conference. Breakfast & Coffee - Breakfast was included (and it's really good), plus they delivered coffee to the room every morning--huge win! Relaxing vibes - The whole place has a super chill, peaceful atmosphere. Even 7am yoga! Late check-out - They were nice enough to let me check out later, which I really appreciated. Nice views & pool - Beautiful scenery, and the pool was a great spot to unwind. Room placement luck - The hotel has two sections (across the street from each other) Thankfully, I got a room near the lobbish area and breakfast area, which made things easier. What Could Be Better: Thin walls - Could definitely hear my neighbors, which wasn't ideal. No TV - Not a huge deal for me, but something to know before booking. Missing vinyl records - The room was supposed to have a vinyl record player, but there were no records. Kinda disappointing. Limited after-hours access - There's no 24-hour lobby, and I had an emergency the night I arrived. Thankfully, they called me ahead of time and left my key with security, but still, a little inconvenient. Key confusion - No one told me my room key also worked for the gate. One night, security wasn't around, and I thought got locked out. Had to call the emergency line, which made me feel bad--pretty sure I woke someone up just to find out I already had the key. Overall Thoughts: Korakia is a beautiful, quiet escape with some great perks like breakfast, coffee service, and a pool. Just be aware of the thin walls, lack of a TV, and the limited lobby hours if those things matter to you. Nice, quiet, historic set up in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. The rooms are tiny but feel so authentic to a true visit to the Mediterranean. Small kitchen with a fridge was nice to have. Shower is very rustic, plenty of hot water and water pressure. Small but usable porch area and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was included and the food was very good. We ate there all 6 mornings on our trip. The grounds are immaculate. Two upscale swimming pools, plenty of reading areas, beautiful architecture and landscaping. Free classic movies shown every night and popcorn is available on request. And the staff was the best part of all. So friendly, so welcoming and hard working. The best hosting and service we've ever experienced, and we are seasoned travelers. We can't recommend this place enough. Thank you! read more

Korakia Pensione is a piece of heaven in the desert. I could go on and on about how special this place is, but have to start with the exceptional service provided by their lovely staff. The attention to detail is just above and beyond. Some highlights included waking up to hot coffee every morning, enjoying delicious breakfast on the patio, and coming back to find thoughtful souvenirs and trinkets left in our room each evening--things like lavender spray, postcards ready to be mailed to friends and families, etc.--just exceptional! At one point during our stay, my husband and I were relaxing by the fire and a staff member brought us popcorn and hot cocoa to enjoy--so unexpected and deeply appreciated. Not to mention, the grounds are just stunning. Every corner truly breathtaking and picturesque. I felt transported, and so at ease throughout my stay, grateful to have found this sweet one-of-kind hotel. Easily a 5/5 experience! read more

*To sum it up, it's just not worth the money.* We booked the Orchard House for our 25th wedding anniversary. We were so excited by their website - welcome tea, tour of the property, yoga, classic movies, gorgeous lanterns in the courtyards, popsicles by the pool... THEY DID NONE OF THIS. No one greeted us at check in, we had to ask for the welcome tea, we were not offered a tour and were told instead we were welcome to walk around and explore by ourselves. At over $650 a night, it was a VERY disappointing to experience: The Orchard House spa jets do not work, the gas line in the outdoor fireplace does not work and they could not provide dry firewood or starter logs and we were never able to get a fire going. It had rained the night before and the property was still damp with puddles everywhere. They used this as a reason to not provide any of the aforementioned amenities (NO yoga, NO movies, NO lanterns - NOTHING). It did not rain the 3 days and 2 nights we were there but because it HAD rained the night prior, they cancelled everything for both following nights. The breakfast was fine - nothing special - they will offer you either granola or one dish they prepare - there are not really any options. The coffee delivered to your room will be in a thermos with only enough for a cup and a half (not nearly enough for 2 people.) We did use the bicycles one day to cruise around Palm Spring - which by the way is absolutely DEAD in August (low season). I did have an amazing massage and energy work with Sabrina - highly recommend her services. The property is very pretty and the Orchard House is lovely, just wish we could have received the FULL experience. read more

We stayed for a long weekend and really enjoyed our stay. They serve complimentary breakfast every morning with fresh squeezed orange juice. They also will bring you coffee in the morning, around 7am, in these cute little containers with sweet messages. We stayed in the Ionean bungalow, on the Mediterranean side. It was rustic, but very beauitful. We especially loved the French door-style windows that opened out to the pool. Overall, very happy with our stay. read more

I just checked out today (Sunday 1/10/21), and there's nothing I can really say that hasn't already been said From the reviews on here or Google and TripAdvisor. A friend of mine told me about this place, and I was excited to try it for my birthday weekend. I honestly wish I was still there. For two short days, my anxiety improved and I somewhat forgot about my daily stress of working as a nurse in this crazy pandemic. My body, nerves, and soul needed it. I'm almost on the verge of tears because I am grateful I got to get away and be in a space that provided instant tranquility. Thank you to the (majority or maybe all) women filled staff for being so kind with all of my questions and for providing excellent service. I understand now the flow of staying here and would be happy to guide my friends and family when recommending this special place. Highlights: - covid protocol enforced - walking into the room and smelling the fresh clean sanitizing products LOL! - the nightly euro style turn down - 24 hour heated pool, my boyfriend and I did a night swim at 10 pm during winter and it was beautiful - homemade breakfast brought to us each morning - walking the quiet property; all guests are respectful of this quiet space - very close location to DTPS - text phone number where I could text all of my questions -vintage movies on the projection at night in the Mediterranean Courtyard - fireside sitting at night - getting upgraded to a suite (from santorini to Sparta) Tips: - there are no TVs in any of the rooms, if you like screen time bring tablet/ laptop etc - during turn down (sunset) the staff set up the property so it may be hard to get a hold of the front desk phone reception. If you're calling to reserve call after 7pm or when the season gets brighter maybe after 8 pm. - if you need a hair dryer pack your own - some of the showers are rain style, heads up ladies bring shower cap if you do not wish to wet hair as the design of my shower had a smaller space without much flexibility to avoid my scalp from getting wet. read more

The grounds are beautiful. The staff is nice and the whole place is quiet and romantic. I've stayed here 5 times, and might just get married here... will see. It's close to all the shops and restaurants in Palm Springs, as well as the large abhorrent Marilyn Statue. Don't be surprised if you find a roach or two in your room as they come out from the heat, and the cottages are not really sealed. This is a rustic place with rustic history. Don't stay here if you're a delicate flower. Bring bug spray, as the mosquitoes have quadrupled in quantity with the past decade, due to climate change. The showers have great water pressure, but the beds could use a revamp. Too soft for my preference. Overall though, Korakia is an absolutely wonderful choice for a quiet desert getaway. Really beautiful and peaceful Mediterranean style resort in Palm Springs. The rooms are gorgeous, and we had a great time relaxing and just enjoying time away from the business of the city. It's very quiet and not much action, which was just what we needed. My only criticism of this resort is that there wasn't any poolside service. There was no option to order food or drinks while lounging at the pool, so I had to get up and walk into the lobby and get water from their dispenser. read more

Plus a tiny hints of vodka. I won't tell which suite is my fave for I have been there 4th time and I want it for own forever. Dip into the pool after check in, go for dinner, then come back to make smores at the fire pit. Bring extra sticks for other guests to share. Its romantic to look at the stars, enjoy tea and coffee with other guests. (Do wave them in, invite them to join when they passing by) In the morning, they bring hot coffee to your villa, spend some quiet moment reading before heading to their front porch for breakfast. Then ride their bike to botanical garden for 16 minutes ride (round trip) Check out and stay a little bit in the pool. read more

It's an oasis in the desert. The architecture, the music, the calmness, the serenity-all create a relaxed and charming atmosphere.

This is truly a five star resort. We arrived after 10 pm, but the front desk was kind enough to call before 10 pm to let us know they close their office, but that they would leave the keys to our suite with the security guard. When we arrived the place looked beautiful. All of the tea lights in their lamps lit up the area with soft lighting. The front fountain was filled with rose petals. We entered our room and the hotel set up our suite with "turn down" service. The interior was decorated with tea lights, roses were strewn about the entrance and into the living room area with a trail of roses that led to the bedroom. There were red rose petals in the bedroom and on the bed. On the table in the living room was a bucket of ice with a sealed bottle of wine, two empty wine glasses, and chocolate covered strawberries! A record player was in the living room and playing Marvin Gaye music. It was very romantic. The suite we stayed in was the "Bedowein" suite on the Moroccan themed side. There are 12 suites on the Moroccan theme side and 16 suites on Mediterranean themed side. Our wooden framed windows opened completely outward and.we were able to see the center courtyard with a heated pool (90 degrees Fahrenheit) and a tall beautiful stone wall with three openings at the top and water falling down creating three mini waterfalls next to a C shaped seating area with an in ground gas for pit! It was absolutely beautiful. The pool area is open 24 hours but no one was outside and it was quiet and peaceful with the sound of the waterfall. The bed was comfortable and made for a good sleep. I woke up in the morning with complementary coffee (or tea if requested) in a small carafe on a table just outside our room with a nice note attached welcoming us. After enjoying morning coffee next to the fireplace in the living room, I ventured outside and ate a complimentary breakfast in the front garden like dining area. They offer three types of breakfast, a healthy breakfast consisting of granola, yogurt, and fruit or a vegan breakfast. The third option was two over easy eggs, refried beans topped with Cojita cheese, warm corn tortillas, very tasty green salsa, and fresh fruit. I had my breakfast with fresh orange juice, coffee, and a cold glass of filtered water. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and service was impeccable. The resort was so nice that we stayed at the resort and relaxed. We eventually took a stroll out with the complimentary beach cruiser bikes and went into downtown Palm Springs where we had a nice lunch and drinks. We returned to the resort and continued to relax in our suite. We had French doors that opened out to the courtyard and enjoyed the soft breeze. The weather was beautiful and sunny in the mid 70s. Later in the evening we received a knock on the door offering complimentary chocolate covered strawberries and coffee or tea for the evening. That was such a nice touch. In the evenings around 8pm, the resort offers complimentary classic movie night outside under the stars in the comfort of couches or cushions on a wooden deck. They staff offered us complimentary popcorn and water. They said during cold weather they offer hot chocolate to the guests. The evening was just perfect and the movie was nice and relaxing. We returned to our room and enjoyed the peaceful tranquility of the suite. There are no clocks or TVs to distract you. However, they do provide complimentary Wi Fi. The next day we lounged by the pool and relaxed. The staff came out and handed out fresh fruit on a stick to everyone. Price wise, this place is on the high end ( $1,000 a night ), but you get what you pay for. The staff was always nice and respectful and didn't invade your space. All of the guest were respectful and kept to themselves. The day was topped off with a 90 minute couples massage. I can't say enough about this place. I highly recommend it for a couples retreat. This was an outstanding trip for my husband and I. No children, a 24/7 heated pool and breakfast made for you every morning. We stayed on the Moroccan side. The staff were kind, accommodating and always available. The history of the hotel makes it even more romantic. No TVs as you're meant to unplug. We even had a working record player. My only recommendation for management is to do some upkeep on the property, painting etc, also the bed needed to be replaced. But we will definitely be back. Thank you! read more

Imagine if your great-great grandmother was a silent film star and she invited you to stay in the desert at her absolutely lovely ramshackle estate... The staff here are warm and wonderful, they pay attention to detail, and provide little touches that warm your heart -- including bowls of oranges, tea, and cookies in the lobby. Every morning you are greeted with a thermos of coffee discretely left outside your door at 7 a.m. A luscious breakfast is served in the courtyard every morning at 8. Don't skip it, it's a standout. The pool is heated to 92 degrees round the clock. And it is an experience. To swim every morning while the sun rises and under the moon at night is glorious. Bring your bathing suit, bring two so one is always dry. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Have a great time. read more

Before booking a room at Korakia, it is important to first understand the concept of the hotel. Quiet, intimate, antique, unique sanctuary. If you are expecting a new, modern, blemish-free hotel, aka: the typical idea of "luxury" in California, you may be disappointed. This isn't the Ritz or JW Marriott or Four Seasons....The authentic, rustic charm along with outstanding customer service is what gives this place the ultimate "luxury" usually only found when traveling abroad. My husband and I booked Korakia last minute to celebrate our anniversary/baby moon. We were lucky enough to secure one of the last 2 available rooms, the Syros Room on the Mediterranean side of the resort. Upon arriving we were immediately blown away by the beautiful atmosphere. So peaceful, so unique, it truly felt like we had stepped into a riad in Morocco. The staff was extremely friendly, offered us some delicious Moroccan mint tea, and walked us to our room on the Mediterranean side (we were about 1.5 hours early and fortunately the room was ready!) Our room was one of the smaller ones, but all we needed. Quiet, clean, and romantic. The bed was ridiculously comfortable! While we liked the more private location of our room, if we were to return, I think I would opt for a room on the Moroccan side. As a guest you have access to the entire compound (which isn't that big), but I did prefer the Moroccan pool and style - just personal preference! Anyhow, we throughly enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy each other. The staff was all extremely accommodating and helpful. Any issues we had (user error with our heater and a noisy neighbor making phone calls outside at 6:30am) they addressed immediately. There are no tvs, but there was a movie played on a projector every night in a common area. If you need Wi-Fi, it is free, just password protected! Worked great for my husband to check his emails and do a bit of work in the mornings. Besides the fact that the grounds are breathtakingly beautiful, It was the little things that made the experience so pleasant. Tea/Coffee delivered to the room in the mornings was so perfect to wake up to. The breakfasts (included with your stay) were delicious. Our room was beautifully decorated for our anniversary (an extra I highly recommend adding if you are there for a special occasion!). They decorated while we were at dinner. It could have been the set of a proposal- absolutely stunning! Champagne, rose petals, candles, chocolate strawberries super romantic! Every night the entire compound is decorated with candles and fire pits. The 24/7 pool access was great! It was January and the pool was just as comfortable during the daytime when it was 75 degrees out as well as night time when it was closer to 50 degrees outside. There are plenty of common areas that feel private. Lots of room to roam and lounge. There was plenty of parking between the main lot and the back lot. The location of the resort itself is unbeatable, on a quieter residential street, but an easy walk to the main strip of town. We walked just about everywhere! The hotel also offers bikes if you want. Korakia Pensione truly is a gem of an oasis in Palm Springs that immerses you in true relaxation, allowing you to decompress, reconnect, and ground yourself. Our stay at Korakia began with driving up and parking outside of a beautiful entryway that made us feel like we were in someplace enchanted. There was a serene fountain with flower petals in it, blooming bougainvillea, and citrus trees in the courtyard. We were promptly checked in by a very kind employee and offered a refreshing spiked mint tea which was delicious after our seven hour drive to get here! Our room (we stayed in the Byzantium room) was beautiful, clean, the air conditioning was already on for us, and we had small gifts left for us which made us feel even more at home. There were complimentary chocolate covered strawberries in the freezer and a sweet hand written note. The grounds of the hotel are just breathtaking- do take the time to explore a little bit. The entire property is breathtakingly backdropped by the beautiful desert mountains, really letting you enjoy and appreciate the natural landscape. The pools are relaxing and gorgeous, and the staff keeps clean towels out and replenished all day long. There is iced citrus water and Moroccan mint tea available most of the day (the tea is absolutely delicious and refreshing). During the early evening, you are offered an ice cold towel with lavender essential oil while laying out by the pool to refresh and relax even more so. This may only be a summer time offering, but it was immensely enjoyed! Every evening they projected an old Hollywood movie ( I think they screened Casablanca, Some Like it Hot, and Gone With the Wind while we were there) by the Mediterranean pool. There was even popcorn service to accompany the movie. The turndown service was also sublime, and they left a sweet gift for us every night we were there (a postcard, lavender-tea tree oil sleep spray, and more chocolate covered strawberries). We couldn't wait to get back to the room to see what they left us each night! The fresh breakfast every morning was delicious and made to order. The offering while we were there was huevos rancheros, french toast, and avocado toast. There was also a yogurt and granola option, and all meals came with fresh fruit. It was the perfect start every morning. Korakia Pensione is an amazing destination if you just want to reconnect with yourself or a loved one, decompress, and feel truly relaxed. You will be well taken care of and appreciated. The staff just goes above and beyond in all aspects of your stay. We will visit Palm Springs again just to stay at Korakia Pensione. read more

"Instagram vs reality" - has this phrase ever been more accurate! For context, we came with a group for a bachelorette, note we are in our late 30s, mostly doctors and professionals. Lots of pros and cons. I'll start with the pros: Pros- the place is beautiful, looks like an Instagram ad, seems like the perfect spot for an influencer type. The poolside service was sweet, they brought fruit, iced tea and goodies- and the staff seemed really nice. The decor is gorgeous, again lovely to look at and appeared to be quite magical. Note the words seem and appear... Cons- we were at the pool only taking up four chairs for the nine of us, and of course paid for all nine people at the hotel. We were not loud, were not drinking heavily, and were just enjoying the sun and the pool. Hours after we left for dinner, the staff sent us a very inappropriate text. Their text said that we need to quiet down and that guests are complaining and we'd have to PAY for their stay, that can not be legal and I definitely did not see that on the t&cs. In addition we saw the staff actually digging to try to get us in trouble, she went up to a couple at the pool and said "is this group too loud?" And they said "not at all". It felt very catty and passive aggressive, and we felt attacked for literally no reason at all, this text is not professional and the way they asked guests about us was not acceptable. Another factor is that Alexandra the manager verbally told us that one of the rooms will be a certain rate, but as we checked out they wouldn't honor the rate. They should stick with the expectations they set, and honor what they tell guess. If we would've known that they would be lying to customers about pricing, and treat them in such a condescending way, there was no way that we would've chosen this hotel for my childhood best friends bachelorette. I would honestly never come back here even on a romantic trip, or a friends or with family, the environment was so tense and uncomfortable that it ruined our trip. Literally after receiving that text, we were afraid to even come back to the hotel to hang out in our own rooms because we knew that they were trying to threaten us for paying for other guests rooms, this is really bad energy and bad business practice, do not stay here. read more

PROS To emphasize what the previous reviewer said from today, #hashtag city. Meaning, yeah, this place is Instagrammable, for sure. It's BEAUTIFUL. The bungalows are gorgeous and the flowers and candles and fountains are lovely. The stone shower appears exotic and the white curtains everywhere bring #sexyback. If you're looking at this place to take a ton of pictures for your IG influencer gig, you'll be alongside some other likeminded gals doing the same thing. While that's fine and good, I simply chose this location for serenity and healing... an escape from the hashtag world. They do bring little chocolates to you in the evening, which was a wonderful touch. And while the setting is lovely, there were some major misses that I felt were worth mentioning for those who are also looking for a space of healing. CONS 1. There's a poolside and dinner menu but it's a bit difficult to actually get food. You text a number to order and the process takes a super long time. We received half of our order and waited over an hour and half and our order still hadn't come, so we said nevermind and they never apologized, but instead mentioned that they had just returned from the store and were making it. This was news, as we didn't realize that in order to get hummus, a store trip was needed. A head's up would have been nice. Also just Fyi: If you want to order room service for dinner, there is a $25 DELIVERY fee, making the delivery fee even more than some of the actual menu items. 2. The stone shower is SO pretty, but its dark features hides dirt easily. The walls of the shower were slimy and there was gunk built up in the drain. It felt cleaner outside of the shower than inside of it. 3. I opted for a massage and while the massage was great, the massage room left a lot to be desired. It felt a bit like a shed with styrofoam taped up for an attempt of sound proofing. 4. We stayed in the Ioneon Bungalow, which advertises a full kitchen and queen bed. Note: The bed is a DOUBLE, not a queen. Also, the stove didn't work. We asked about it but apparently the girl "who would know about the stove" was on lunch, so we dismissed it and made do without it. Also, the record player is a cute touch but the sound is awful. 5. This place is intimate. Intimate... meaning everyone can see and hear everything you do, regardless of whether you're in your room or not. There is a major lack of privacy because all of the doors are glass and the window coverings are white curtains that they tie at the bottom. It's beautiful, sure, but when you untie the curtains at night, they are so bunched up from being tied that there are gaps everywhere to see right in. Same with the windows. Basically, nothing is soundproof, nothing is private, but if you're cool with that, then glamping it is! 6. The pool is 24 hours, which means if the IG gals get a little too tipsy, they'll be in the pool in the middle of the night chatting and laughing LOUDLY. All of the rooms surround the pool, so there's no escaping the noise. 7. Service is lacking. The staff is SUPER friendly when approached for something, but they don't do much to go out of their way to ensure you're enjoying your stay. I would expect to feel a little taken care of in a place like Korakia, especially for the price we paid. Visually, this place easily gets a 10/10. Service could improve - 6/10. If we stayed again, we would try to book a room a little further back so we wouldn't feel like we were on display. I think this place is definitely worth staying at, but if you're in search of a quiet, private retreat, just know that while it may be nice and quiet, it's not so private. read more

My paradise, my happy place, my secret getaway to recharge! Korakia Pensione is the definition of what one would refer to as a "hidden gem" in the desert. I stumbled upon this magical place through Instagram and quickly became obsessed. Having stayed on both the Moroccan and Mediterranean sides, it is hard to choose a favorite! Not only is the property itself absolutely gorgeous, but the staff and service are by far the reason I keep coming back. The girls at Korakia are more than accommodating and ensure that you have the best stay every time. A truly special place in Palm Springs. The minute we arrived we felt completely at home. Everyone that works here has the most welcoming energy and their entire approach to the F&B program is special and unique. It was really hard to leave. Roaches. EVERYWHERE. They fell on us when we were sleeping and we had to get out of there and find another hotel at 2 in the morning. The floor of the room was also grimy when we checked in, almost all the records were scratched up and unusable, and I found large holes in our sheets. For 500+ a night, I expected a lot more, esp seeing all the hype on social media. Not the way we wanted to spend our anniversary. Very disappointing. Only gave a second star because management was apologetic and gave us a full refund, and breakfast was delicious. read more

This hotel is really a two star hotel disguised as a four star. The staff is wonderful and the courtyard is beautiful but it does not live up to expectations. The amenities provided were underwhelming. On their website they listed afternoon teas and yoga sessions as well as meditation being available. We stayed for our anniversary and our goal was to have a relaxing few days, we were looking forward to these perks. They failed to mention that the yoga was only on Saturdays and meditation on Wednesdays. We stayed there Wednesday but we were never made aware that there was meditation going on that night. We still enjoyed the movie provided in the courtyard until we saw a giant cockroach just crawling by. The next morning while having our coffee another giant cockroach made an appearance just outside our room. At this point we were feeling uneasy but continued with our stay, a few hours later there was a dead cockroach floating in the pool. We emailed the manager which responded promptly & reassured us that they spray the property once a week. At this point we only had a half an afternoon left and we decided that although we were uncomfortable we would stay. We figured they were only outside. After dinner we came back to our room to what seemed to be a nest of spiders by the mini fridge. There was a cockroach on the bed and one on the wall. There was also another that fell on my boyfriend's head. At this point flustered and disgusted we left. Staff was understanding and gave us a refund. We appreciate their cooperation but it's important to note this isn't a one time occurance by the looks of other reviews. Be weary of this when you're booking. Staff reassures you that you won't be taking these roaches home but seems like they haven't figured out how to manage this problem themselves. One of my downfalls as a human being is that I always fall victim to social media traps and this was just that. There is NO WAY in hell this place is worth $700 for one night. We stayed in the Syros Room for our anniversary and while we enjoyed the open door patio and overall aesthetic of the hotel... - the room was a lot smaller than expected - patio wasn't actually private - couldn't even enjoy the amenities because of the Karens making noise complaints. We loved the old school record player in the room, but got a noise complaint within 15mins of using it -_- - breakfast was nice, but expected more than an avocado toast for the amount we were paying for our stay The two girls working were really nice, but I won't be back. Don't fall for the social media thirst trap!!! There are definitely better spots that are more bang for your buck!!! read more

Beautiful getaway, fantastic weekend. They are just the right mix of being attentive and leaving you alone. They're also a convenient, walkable distance from the main street, even in the sweltering heat. We got the Bedouin Suite, which was stunning. Breakfast is included, and it's a simple but delicious menu of staples: banana pancakes, yogurt, huevos rancheros, etc. I love how much they incorporate fruit - the food isn't greasy or any fattier than it has to be. The pools are small, but the swim is refreshing. They keep the lounge chairs stocked with fresh towels. We splurged on some lovely massages, and the prices were very reasonable for the services. The only comments I would make are: (1) the kitchen would be a lot better with a microwave, and (2) I'm not sure I'd recommend this place for a baby moon if you're past second trimester. The bed is very high so it's a bit of a climb to get into it, and the stone steps into the bathtub are a bit steep, especially if you can't see your feet. That said, I do recommend it highly otherwise. read more

I should start by saying that I am a self proclaimed hotel snob. Not in the sense that I expect the best of the best all of the time, but that I have stayed in dilapidated hotels awaiting demolition on The Las Vegas strip, dirty roadside motels, and boring 3-4-5* hotels all over the US/worldwide; to outstanding Castles, Chateau's, Villa's, and World Heritage sights in Europe and beyond. I am both jaded and eternally grateful to have had these experiences. None the less it takes a lot to make me say "wow!" And it's usually not a Fruit Basket and Chocolate mint on a 1000tc fluffed Pillow. Korakia was like a Dream. For those with a Bohemian Spirit everything oozes soul quenching splendor. I absolutely loved the two nights I was lucky enough to experience here. The first thing you notice is the authentic Architecture of when the Villa was at its hey-day. You can feel the energy of the artist that previously built the property, and of all the creative visitors that Wrote, Painted, and Sang here. We arrived on a warm balmy night to Twinkle Lights, Fire glistening against Stone Walls, Lanterns, and the sound of Water Fountains throughout the property. The whole property is purposely rustic and charming. Walking into our room was the sound of Bob Dylan's Harmonica on a Record Player. A large Bowl of Oranges sits on vintage furniture, as does Bougainvillea Flowers all around the room. Books, Music, and Coffee accoutrements line a bookshelf. Impactful and simple at the same time. We had our own little private patio that included a Day Bed and Umbrella. I felt like I was in my very own Desert Adobe. The property looked so different the next morning, what was sexy and moody at night turned into lush Gardens of Flowers, Cactus, and Tropical plants at every turn. Pathways lead to common sitting areas that include chairs around Fire Pits, Bocce, and outdoor Day Bed vignettes all around the property that make you feel as though you're in Morocco. Magical is an understatement. There is morning Yoga followed by a Sound Bath. The breakfast is simple and the menu changes everyday. I really enjoyed sitting on the patio taking in the property every morning. Most of the guests seem to come here to relax. Not your typical Palm Springs Party-and-Tan Hotel. Little surprises are offered throughout the day like Popsicles by the Pool, afternoon Moroccan Tea/Snacks in the Lobby, and old Hollywood Movies played outdoors at night. I only live an hour and a half away but I feel so refreshed as if I went on a full vacation. Immediately forever my favorite hotel. It's breathtakingly beautiful. And it's so obvious that care and thought went into every single detail. This feels like staying in someone's passion project vs just a hotel. The energy is great. Pool 24/7. A sense of freedom exists there. And the service is hands down one of the most thoughtful. Especially Veronica alex Euly, and even Sasha the cat. My girlfriend and I stayed in the Thessaly suite as well as the artist suite. The artist is my favorite so far. Absolutely 0 complaints. Every aspect was perfect. This will now be my go to spot to get away from la and relax/get some work out of the way with a clear mind. As a fine art photographer I can't appreciate this place enough. This place was PHENOMENAL... from start.. TO FINISH!! Starting off, the kind woman who checked us in, (didn't catch her name) was so pleasant and kind. She even served us a welcome drink ! Upon arriving in our room, I noticed it smelled really good & it was completely spotless. The decor all over the whole resort, including inside the room was just delightful. It truly felt like a desert Oasis. We had lots of fun swimming in the pool, and they even offered us ice cold towels (I believe it was lemon scented, either way, it smelled great! ) It was a nice touch. When we arrived back from dinner, there was a sweet surprise waiting in our fridge...(you'll have to see when you get here what delicious surprise they have waiting) Anywho, even the soaps, shampoos, & toilet paper were nice quality. There was also a record player & a few records provided in the room, not really my vibe of music but it got the job done for tunes. In the morning, there was a canteen with hot coffee left outside our room, with creamer & sugar already provided in the room. This was a wonderful surprise to wake up to. The breakfast was a delicacy truly, there was 2 options, I went with the sausage & potatoes. Nice sized portion, it was cooked to order so it was fresh & hot right when I got it. Nicely seasoned & it was cooked perfectly. I really can't recommend their breakfast enough. I was pretty blown away. Check-Out was a breeze and the lady who checked us out was so kind as well, all the staff I encountered at this resort were so professional & did their jobs so well! I booked this place for my husband's 42nd birthday and was so excited since he had no idea where we were heading to. The Korakia staff was helpful in making small arrangements to make Him feel special as we entered our suite. We loved the morning coffee, breakfast service, bikes and the entire vibe of the area. We stayed on the Mediterranean side and absolutely LOVED how tranquil it was. Really liked the fact that everyone around us was in a zen mode and it was exactly what we wished for. The only CON was that upon entering the in the morning; there was a massive roach by the sink and I had to run and find something to spray it with. I have no idea where it disappeared to, but I texted the front desk and all they offered was come and remove it? We would really like to come here again and would love if the staff would take this issue of roaches seriously and did an extra extra extermination or cleaning before a guest checks in. read more
