We had a flood in our home in LaQuinta more than a year ago. We hired Flood Response to handle the clean up. They sold us on their experience working with insurance agencies. So we also hired them to handle the rebuild. THAT WAS A HORRIBLE MISTAKE! It's been more than 13 months and we are still not finished. While insurance delays are certainly to blame - this company did nothing but cause more headache. In January, I threatened to move the rebuild to another company. They promised to have the rebuild completed by Coachella (April). It's November now and our house is still not back together. The company has been completely incompetent all around. -- Unreliable - They changed our general contractor a few months into the project after he had done zero. They new one was equally awful. -- Non communicative - They promised to send us weekly update emails to inform us of progress - didn't happen. -- Lazy - They've had our personal belongings in storage for 13+ months now. Our insurance was slow on approving an repair inspection, but once it happened, Flood Response told them they had the wrong couch (they didn't). It's now been 4 months since that inspection and we still don't have a report on repair. They also sent the report to a completely different insurance claims company. -- Crooks - during the rebuild, one of our water heaters exploded. We had them quote the repair and it was 4x the price of another vendor. BEWARE! They are terrible with insurance. They might be find for remediating a flood. But DO NOT trust them with a rebuild.

But you see , walking into their superstore, with all their selections, trying to decide between which type of stone and tile, etc., made me extremely overwhelmed and even more stressed! But then one of the sales designers atArizona tile, walked up with a big cheerful smile, and asked me the question that I most needed. She said, "how can I help you?" And help me she surely did! Not only was Debbie extremely knowledgeable about all the products and materials that Arizona tile carries, but she went above and beyond to ignore my ignorance about so much regarding the finishing processes of my showers and bathrooms and what I needed for my kitchen! Within 10 minutes of me showing her my blueprints and me trying to tell her what I was going for, it was like she was inside of my head already, knowing where to show me and how to direct me to the right places within the store. She answered every one of my 1 million questions with patience care and ultimate customer service! She treated my project like it was her own home. She went through my house plans all three bedrooms, all four bathrooms, some of which required special accommodations, like my steam room bathroom, and just made everything looks so easy as she helped me through the selection process! She is one of the kindest, most caring sales person I've ever encountered, in my 48 years. And that is not an exaggeration. I come from a background of home developers, and managed a large customer service department, but it's a whole different process when you're building a custom home yourself by yourself. There were ideas and suggestions that she offered that I would never have considered, until she presented them to me. Beyond her wonderful customer service, Arizona tile is also set up for the ease of the customer and they present a can-do attitude about everything you bring to their table. Debbie, I'm grateful for our "HOPE" connection, and even more grateful that Providence allowed me to have you as my designer. Full review: When our tenants called about a flood at our rental property in Palm Springs, I panicked and did what I thought was the "safe" move: I hired a big-name local flood response company with decent (but not amazing) reviews. Six days later, the house was somehow still damp. Progress felt slow, and even my insurance adjuster strongly suggested that I do my research when choosing the company to do the repairs once the house was actually dry. I knew I didn't want that first company doing the actual repairs. I turned to Yelp looking for someone who could move fast, work cleanly, and understand the insurance process; someone who could get the job done with attention to detail, given how much attention we'd put into our home initially, but somebody who could work super, super fast. I thought I'd message AVA Flood Restoration and just get a second opinion on how the drying was going. I was on my way out to dinner and Dan (the owner) said he could come over later that night. I was already impressed, but wanted to wait and see what he'd say. Dan came over right at 9pm as promised. He told me that for a house of our size it simply didn't have the right amount of dryers, and that the house should have already been dry given it had been six days. He told me he had a team ready to go that night if needed, but that either way, he could assure me he could work with speed and attention to detail, and had experience with other homes where design was a key element.
