One…read moreis now 5 and continues to bloom under the hands-on approach of Ms Kris for Phonics, Music, and Cooking classes as well as his two most recent "primary" teachers (Ms Valerie & Ms Jenna). My other child is a waddler and took to her care givers (Ms Lisa, Ms Ginny and Ms Gupreet) so well, that it helped ease the guilt of being a working mom. :) This learning center's staff helps develop a child to socialize well and always keeps the parent apprised of progress, issues/concerns, etc., and consistently with a solution-oriented and positive approach. The facility is clean and regularly maintained (fresh coat of paint, carpeting, seal-coating blacktop parking area). There's an access code to get in and they get to know each parent as well as they get to know the child. I have complete faith that my children are cared for in a loving and engaging environment. I firmly believe the center directors (Ms Tania & Ms Michelle) foster this collaborative approach to care-giving and I continue to be in awe of how well they all shoulder the responsibility they have. This team does it with pride and tries to have fun along the way. My only frustration comes from the accounting system used by the KLC corporation. It is not user-friendly, but again, Ms Tania to the rescue to provide the paperwork I need to reconcile payments, file my tax paperwork, and manage my FSA -- helping to make my life a little easier. The director and staff at COA in Oswego are so unprofessional on many levels. I am going to start by saying my son (who happens to have mild Autism) was hired as a Teaching Assistant. This was told to them on his resume, as well as discussed at the interview. He was hired at COA about 6 months ago. Since being hired, he has been picked on, made to do work that other TA's are not made to do ( ex. clean all floors and toys in all classrooms). Written up for incidents that were embellished by other staff as a means to get him in trouble. Treated with disrespect and now after today called a racist because of a mis-pronunciation of a last name. His own family is comprised of 4 different races. He doesn't have a mean or racist bone in his body. My son, even through all of this, has continued to show up and work every day. He has taken the 10:30 am lunch even when he got to work at 9 am and others have been working since 6 am. He never complained about this unfair treatment due to feeling like he could lose his job all the time. It was evident in his anxiety that he felt left out and not supported at all. He recently had his hours cut, supposedly due to lack of enrollment. Although the center hired 4 new staff since he was hired and he was the staff with hours cut to 15 hours a week. They have treated him like he wouldn't know better and continuously pick on him. They expected him to be alone in a classroom, and because he spoke up and said he wasn't comfortable with this, his hours were cut. What a sad and unfortunate work experience for a young man who just felt he would like to work with young children. As he comes from a family who fostered other children throughout his life. He has had experience working and caring for kids quite a bit, just not in the daycare setting. As his Mom, I really felt this would be a great opportunity for him. How sad of COA to treat someone who is "different " with such disrespect that he no longer wants to work in an environment like that. I doubt you would want your children attending a place that treats their employees this way either. I know I wouldn't. If I thought my son could have written this himself, I would have him do so. His disabilities don't define him. His heart does. We will move on from here, but not without speaking our TRUTH.

No accident/injury/illness/issue goes without advanced notice to the parent directly and a written report for home and school files. Lots of opportunities and events to engage parents and extended family. And the curriculum in each classroom has proven to help my child succeed in all of the developmental stages and socializing with others. I always know my child is in incredible, loving, nurturing hands at Children of America!

From temperature screenings, limiting people in the building, extensive cleaning, and limiting exposure are fears are no longer there. Not only was he incredibly well prepared to start school in IPSD 204 from an academic standpoint, but also socially and emotionally. The school is very well run - with top notch communication and a staff of talented, caring teachers. The staff put on regular education nights for parents, and with no judgment, really helped me identify how to be the best mom I can be. While in the Kindergarten program, our son was asked to be a leader in the classroom and take on more responsibilities. It was so wonderful to watch him thrive and be cared for by an entire staff of smart, devoted, and empathetic women. Thank you so much, MCG, for giving our son the best start! I can't help but wonder how wonderful the world would be if every child got this kind of start. MCG is truly a special place!

Each and every teacher and staff member was amazing. Our children were given opportunities to grow and develop academically and social-emotionally. When they started attending public school, each of my children was ahead academically. One of our boys can be a bit rigid and challenging, and his teacher Ms. Jennie worked with him so well that he soared academically and behaviorally. Their hours are good for working parents and they even have fun summer programs.

My major issue with this place was the lack of personnel and the amount of unsupervised children in classrooms. When I would pick up my daughter 99% of the time kids were on their own and not involved in activities or on the floor (floors seemed filthy all the time). Also, my daughter who was already potty trained but only 2, would come home with horrible rashes because no one would help her clean her self. When I brought it up the staff, they said they wanted to give her "privacy" but this was a 2yr old room with other kids in diapers, so how can you give these kids privacy. Also, the lack of crafts and educational activities was very evident. My daughter now comes home with daily projects that they make. My kids would get sick every single month, and I honestly think it was a because the lack of hygiene in this place. I do not recommend this facility to anyone.

These guys are the best! Having distance from my home as a factor, it was between this place and…read morekindercare. The difference was easy to tell... First, all the children at kiddie academy are smiling, laughing, and having a ball. That tells you something big right there! Second, they have an awesome service of taking pictures of my son throughout the day and emailing me fun pictures, when he took a nap and how long, what he ate and how much, and what they learned or experienced like painting, dancing, singing, sign language gestures, etc. Third, it turns out my son has an issue with milk - it was no problem for them to switch him to soy. They're all very talented in their observations of my son and are able to spot things (they caught he had a slight fever one day & they always give me constant communication on how he's doing). The staff at Naperville's Kiddie Academy are the best of the best. The teachers in the infant room were wonderful as are the teachers in the 1 to 2 year old room. Although we haven't experienced all their rooms, while walking down the hallway, they all appear to be interacting enthusiastically with the children, again, all the kids are having a blast, and as Tatiana (who signed us up) said when I asked her why I should sign up with her rather than kinder care - "we really don't compare" and she was right. This place is super clean, new, communicative, and unlike kinder care, they hustled for my business. My son has been here four months and loves it.
