As they say, BROKE DA MOUTH! Holy moly I had a knack attack after this plate lunch. This is not the spot if you are on a salt or fat diet. But OMG THE LECHON IS AMAZING! I've never had such simultaneously crispy skin yet juicy soft meat in my life. I got the lechon and shoyu chicken plate. It was $17. Lots of meat for the price. I'd say it was the best lechon I ever had! It's cash only, but they do accept Venmo. Look for the blue food truck in front of Industrial Hardware Hawaii. There's no ambiance.... Plan to eat in your car! Note: Parking is horrible in this area. I had to illegally park kind of. Pray for parking and be patient cause this lechon is worth it.
Wow I don't know what I was missing out on if u happen to pass by this area stop and try it out . It is probably one of the best Lechon I've ever had. Don't forget that sauce that sauce went great on everything made it extra special as soon as I pulled up Antie help me out she was so nice and sweet and I told her was my first time and guarantee I'll be back. service was fast. The food was perfectly crispy & season still had the aromatics stuck to some was so good.

And boy am I glad I did. Zero gamey flavor. Salted perfectly and seasoned - from what I can tell - with ginger and lemongrass. AMAZING. The plate is no frills - just white rice and lechon for $12. Worth it. We came once before and the lechon was sold out before 11 AM. This time it was a little later and there were only 2 plates left. The owner said once I purchased them he could close up and go home because that was the only thing he had left. That was at 130 PM. There were a few other items on the menu, but sounds like those were sold out too. This place is a food truck right in front of Hardware Hawaii with no parking of its own. If you've been in Māpunapuna ever, you know street parking is hard to come by. So if you're thinking of trying it out, bring a friend who can drive your car around while you stand in line. Because there is almost ALWAYS a line.
First time coming here for my wife and I! I got the lechon and shoyu chicken combo and the wife had furikake salmon! Lechon and chicken is very tasty and Ono. Wifes salmon taste good just the turn off was having bones in the salmon! Other than that was good service was fast and very friendly.

The skin is shatteringly crispy, almost glass like while the meat is incredibly tender and packed with rich, savory flavors. The use of lemongrass enhances the taste, adding a fragrant depth that sets it apart from the rest. Like any great lechon, it's undeniably greasy and oily, but that's just part of the experience. Since it's a food truck, parking is very limited, and waits can be long if you don't arrive early. But for lechon this good? Totally worth it. Highly recommend if you're craving top tier lechon on Oahu!
On Halloween Day back on Thursday, October 31st was the first time ever to go and buy the plate lunches from The Lechon King. I have heard of them for months but finally only now did i venture out with my driver (since other reviews say how hard to find parking in the area) to try their version of Lechon! I had sent in my text (ph#808-291-9200) the night before 6pm of what I wanted to order as i had heard you can place a phone order in advance. I chose their famous lechon and Mr Mean Hawaii's (best of the 7 places he went looking for the best) local shoyu chicken! I was still on the internet just after midnight as the person from The Lechon King texted me back... since i was still on the internet, we had a 'real-time text messaging' going back and forth as i asked her questions since I told her again, this was my first time to go to their food truck. I asked if there was another line for phone order pick-ups OR do i still have to wait in line because I didn't want to feel like I was 'cutting in line' as the others were waiting patiently in that single line... She told me that since I had placed the phone order to just walk up to the window and tell us you are here for a phone order pick-up and they will get my order! Wow, that was nice to know, especially as she must have been returning other phone or text calls at just past midnight! Well, now comes the day, so my ride and me reach there at 10:20 am and was visually shocked to see NO ONE is standing in line!!! -- at Lechon King! Initial first thought was they were closed, but soon remembered cannot be as she texted me back about my order confirmation for this morning! I kind of freaked out but knew they are open, but no one in line??? So at 10:21am as I get out of the car about 50 yards away, I walk straight up to the side lift up window of the food truck and wait.... Within a FEW moments, there were like about 8 separate groups of people started to come towards me to form a line from God knows where! Geez, I was thanking myself that I chose to come up front and center to be the first in line for today on Halloween!!! Ha, ha! The lady who responded to my text just past midnight so happened to be the same person who took my order there and she said she remembered my order! She was very friendly and thanked me and sincerely said she hopes that we enjoy their foods!!! To tell you what good luck we had on this day, my ride found a parking stall just directly across the street from the food truck---can you believe that? It was like just made to be! My ride dropped me off at my place and when i opened the container, i was met with a packed plate of shoyu chicken and lechon... The shoyu chicken was tasty to me as it had the familiar ginger, shoyu, sugar tastes with flavor that makes local shoyu chicken a local favorite. Though Mr. Mean says theirs were the best of the 7 shoyu chicken plates he has ordered... to me, it just missed on something... it came close... yes, but maybe i liked my sauce just a little more thinner (as theirs were more on the thicker sauce side)... so for ME, i give it 4 stars out of 5 stars for the shoyu chicken entree! Yes I would get it again as a second entree but not as a single entree. As for the star of the plate lunch, man this lechon I have to say is the BEST i have ever tasted! Perhaps it may be due to me having tried for the first time the famous Cebu/Visayan version of Lechon with the lemongrass.. Ohhh, baby... WHAT FLAVOR it provided! You cannot believe how much I 'SAVORED' each bite and wanted it to last in my mouth before I swallowed it! So well-seasoned and flavorful without being anywhere near salty! OMG! You must go here and get their version of the Cebu/Visayan version of Lechon, you may go 'ga-ga' as you swallow your first bite ! Well-seasoned and flavorful!!! The total cost (with the tax included) for the combo was $17 even. As per the signage) which they should place maybe lower as it is at the top/right corner of the window opening indicate they take: CASH, VENMO AND ZELLE. If you are a local or a visitor and wanting to try Lechon and are in this area--- this place is a NO-BRAINER!
Little blue truck in the heart of mapunapuna. Food was amazing and service was very helpful knowing it was my first time the steered me to their local favorites. I must said both dishes both hit the spot. Next time I when I come back I have to try their salmon. Unfortunately when I was there it sold out but nonetheless everything was good. Mahalo to lechon king and the crew there. Very friendly with a delicious plate lunches. If in the area try them out I'm most certain you will be happy. That is unless they sell out lols.
Finally tried the food truck and it was an easy 5/5 stars. Friendly service, quality food, and fantastic prices. My first experience was actually ordering a lechon roll for a party. It was so good, skin crunchy, meat soft and flavorful that I knew going to the food truck one day would be an easy craving satisfied. Finally tried the food truck and just as I expected, my cravings were satisfied. The lechon just as good as I remembered, even better straight from the food truck. $10 a plate, $15 for 2 choice? You can't get better than that! Definitely recommend. I went at lunch time around 11 and there was only 1 person in front of me. Parking is little difficult so I recommend having someone drop you off and wait in the car. It's a very busy area, and as of this post, there was road work going on...which means detours.
You know this wagon is bomb when there's a long line way before lunch time & they sell out of items fast. If you're looking for their wagon, just look out for the all blue truck in Mapunapuna, you can't miss it! And just remember to bring cash with you because it's cash only. My coworker and I were drooling just thinking about their famous lechon while we waited in the hot sun. We were so lucky because when it was our turn, we were told that there was only a few orders left of the lechon. We got our plates and headed back to the office to enjoy. I was so excited that I completely forgot to take a picture of my food *insert sad crying emoji here. Anyways, the plate comes with two scoops rice & huge meaty chunks of lechon. The skin could be a little more crunchy but the meat park was so most and hearty. Every bite was so good and flavorful! The workers (not sure if that was the owners?) were so nice and they were working so hard in there trying to get plates ready and phone call orders. If you haven't tried them yet, I definitely suggest you go ASAP and give them a try! You won't regret it.

Came here a lot before when I use to work at IPC, I'm moving soon so I wanted to eat all the places I'll be missing. Today I decided to get a Furikake Salmon & Lechon plate. One scoop of rice was good to eat , the second one - half was hard. The lechon was delicious especially the crispy skin, but it was oily if you're not into that. The Salmon mad me sad since that's the thing I always ordered the most and the salmon was dry and did have a lot of the sauce on top but it was flavorful. Parking is horrendous as I almost got hit twice going down the road, a lot of illegal people blocking drive ways that big trucks do need to enter. Luckily there's no cop that patrols that road bc they'd definitely reach their quota there. Just be careful when driving on this road around lunch time especially. The two ladies working there had amazing customer service. The line does get long bc he really does make great food. Today was probably just a miss type of day since he wasn't there. read more

3/13/25 Best Lechon! Skin crackles Pork drips fat n juice Seasonings; lemon grass garlic chilis salt pepper... Not your typical bubbly skin kind People were buying Whole Belly Rolls (5-7 lbs+) So go early because they always Sell Out! read more

I've seen peoples post about this wagon & my fiancé also told me that they ate here for lunch. We were both off for week & my fiancé said it's hella good. I went on a Tuesday because it said they were gonna be open on the 24th but when I pulled up to the wagon it said the 26. FOOD: To be honest the plates prices aren't that bad at all. It's 1 choice for $10 or 2 choice for $15. We got the Lechon plate & the Lechon with salmon. When I tell you the plate it WORTH IT. The portion is good. We both didn't finish our plates in one sitting.Duuuuuuuude. I went when the just open at 1030 & I do recommend to go when they first open because the food is hella soft & Lechon is crispy. DO BRING AN UMBRELLA. Super sunny & I was burning waiting in line. I did have my cousin tell me she didn't really like it but she went a little to get it. It does make a difference on the time you get it. PARKING: The parking SUCKS. The wagon is on I believe ace hardware lot & you have to find street parking BUT with all the workers in the area. Parking is hard. I did have to park in a drive way that seemed like no one was going in & out. Wish they had more parking. Or just bring someone with you while one grabs the food & the other drive around or pull to the side till you get busted or something hahaha Would I come back? Of course I would come back & also tell my family & friends to check out this wagon. read more

The Lechon King Lunchwagon reigns Supreme Even though they raised their Plate to $11.50 it's still the Best Deal in Town. I don't know why they haven't raised their prices up till now but it's about time they do it Look at this beauty right here I always ask Aunty for an Extra Scoop of Rice for $1 more because you need as much Rice as you can get to sop up all those juices and herbs that permeate through that Lechon Roll that Uncle Chops Fresh each and every time there's an order. I also get some Shoyu and Vinegar to dip my Lechon in and it gives it a nice balance. I got there at around 11:00 and the line was 10 deep. I thought I didn't have a chance at that Lechon Plate but I was relieved that Aunty Lydia still had a few orders left. If there is one item just as popular as the Lechon it's the Furikake Salmon. That item sells out in 15 to 20 minutes after they open. It's that popular. They can have all the Furikake Salmon they want because I'm here just for the Lechon and nothing else. Lechon so Juicy and that Crispy Skin is like biting into a Potato Chip. That Crunch makes my eyes roll each and every time. There's no slowing down The Lechon King because it's always busy and it's pretty much gonna stay that way because no place makes Lechon like they do. Support Local Business everyone. They really have a following here. They been here for a while now. Lots of great find around this area. Basically blink or make a turn and you'll miss a good hole in the wall spot etc. Always try to get here before they open or chances it'll be sold out within the hour of opening. Great lechon for an unbeatable price, all their offerings are great. Lechon is wrapped style with lemon grass/rosemary if I'm not mistaken so a little tasty herb flavor. I never eat all and save the other half to stir fry it later lol. read more

Saw a tip to come early and so we did...or at least I thought it was early enough since I got there at the listed opening time of 11am. Turns out there was a long line for some time. Perhaps since 10:30 since I saw another review state they actually open at 10:30am. By the time I got to the front of the line, 30 minutes in the sun had passed and they ran out of Furikake Salmon. Saw Uncle pull up the sign and wipe it off the menu board. We all at the front of the line gave a big sigh. The guy in front of me ordered a lechon roll. Yes, you read that right. Lechon ROLL. We all at the front of the line gave a big "Ooh!!" Overheard the price to be $80 or $100 for the roll. We all watched Auntie place the sparkling roll onto a pan for her customer. I ordered the Lechon Plate and the Pork Rib Adobo. They are both so enriched in flavor! And that lechon skin has such a nice shine and crunch to it. Take up on those pro tips you see here. I'm glad I did. Plan to come early and be aware that there is street parking but it's rare. Might be good to do the food buddy system - someone drive and someone else grabs the food. If I were to add another tip, dress comfortably because it can get hot even on a windy day. There is no shade to wait in line so maybe even sunscreen or a hat to protect your skin. read more

I almost wanted to gatekeep this place for myself! But the couple who owns this little food truck was SO SWEET! It was my first time there, as they mentioned that they have only been open for 5 years and have been doing so well. I ordered the Lechon of course and it was the BEST LECHON I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! I also ordered their lumpia, which was piping hot and crispy. This establishment is cash only and they informed me that they usually run out of Lechon by around Noon, so I recommend coming early. We came around 10:15 AM, and there was already a line forming after us. read more

Somehow I stumbled across their IG page and I was drooling. Lechon (roasted pig) is one of my favorite Filipino foods, so it was just a matter of time before I checked them out. They have a bright blue food truck in the industrial area on Mapunapuna St. You can't miss them due to the long line! Parking is super tough to find, so get there early. They open at 10:30am (not 11am) and I hear that they often sell out early. They have a very simple menu with about 5-6 items to choose from. I forgot my phone in the car so I didn't get a photo of the menu, but basically a Regular plate (1 item) is $10 and a Combo plate (2 items) is $13. Yes, you read that correctly! I couldn't believe how cheap it was! I ordered the Combo plate and selected the lechon and furikake salmon. It came with 2 big scoops of rice. The lechon was massive! The crackling, crispy skin had that shiny glass look. The pork itself was super tender and juicy, but it's not prepared the way I typically like it. I actually prefer Lechon Kawali, which is deep fried in a wok (not roasted) and seasoned then cubed. It often comes with tomatoes & onions. This was just the lechon itself. The furikake salmon was absolutely delicious! I still can't believe I got all of this for just $13. The owners are a husband and wife team who are the sweetest people you could ever meet. Definitely drop a tip in their jar, as they work really hard to provide a great product at a reasonable price! read more

I'n my opinion, Lechon King serve one of the best Lechon on this side of the island. The pork is juicy and flavorful. You can definitely taste the spices. The Pork Rib Adobo is not too bad either. For $13 bucks you cannot go wrong with that. But better go early, or else the Lechon here is all gone. And for $10 bucks for the Lechon Plate, that's a deal! read more

I saw this place on instagram and decided to try it out. The blue food truck was easy to find, but parking in the area was hard to find. It's best to drop someone off so they can go get the food and you drive around to wait for a bit in the meantime. I went at about 12:30 after an errand and I was lucky to be able to get 2 plates (one for me and one for my mother). The lady working there informed me that I was lucky as there was 6 left and it's normally gone by now. (The lady behind me in line bought the remaining 4 plates). The lady working there was soooo friendly and had a huge smile on her face. She said to come right at 11 to make sure you get a lechon plate. For $10 you get a huge portion of lechon with two scoops of rice (no mac salad). The lechon was sooo scrumptious and juicy. Melt in your mouth. The skin was crispy and crunchy! They give a little bit of the lemongrass and garlic that they put in the middle when they wrap it to cook it. I enjoyed it as I love lemongrass and it gave the pork a good flavor. No vinegar or tomatoes or onions, but it's ok for the $10 price. Can make your own tomato and onion mix if you want. I added my own white vinegar on it. The rice was mushy, but I think it went well with the lechon as it helped all the oil go down. It seemed like it was jasmine rice too, so it had a good flavor to it. For $10, they give so much lechon and I think it is so worth it! They are cash only, so bring some cash. Go right at opening to ensure you get! Definitely worth it! Very tasty! Lechon plate was so tender and juicy, the seasonings and the slight hint of garlic are done just right to not overpower the flavor of the pork. I do wish the skin was a bit crispier though. Lot of lechon for a $10 plate! Get there early as I arrived around 10:30am and they only had enough for 3 more plates. read more

Due to my late decision to get a couple of plates from Lechon King today, they were out of Lechon and Shoyu Chicken by the time I made it to the order window (by 11:45). So I got the "Pumpkin and long bean with pork" plate and the "Monggo bean with malunggay" plate. What a pleasant surprise for anyone who wants a change of pace from your usual plate lunch. I was craving some Filipino pumpkin and it was great. Rule #1 at Lechon King, if you want Lechon get there at 10:30. Rule #2 at Lechon King, if they don't have the plates you want, there is a really good chance that whatever is left is still very good! read more
