    U.H. Sports Special

Our first stop as soon as we landed and it definitely hit the spot! There was a current wait time notice of 40 mins when we got there but I'm glad we stayed because it was totally worth it. We ended up getting our food sooner (about 20 mins). Everything in the U.H. Special was tasty but I do think the macaroni salad could improve on the taste. My boyfriend liked it though, and everything else was so good so I'm still giving it 5 stars. The steak was very tender, the garlic chicken was tasty, and the ahi katsu was really good paired with the sauce. Keep in mind that this place is take-out only, and there are very limited seating outside the restaurant.

Food and portions are good, but the prices are drastically higher than other lunch plate spots. It was $22 per plate - they charge an additional $4 for ahi. The firecracker chicken and guava smoked pork were really good. I've had better Mac salad. The poke is good, but not worth the extra $4 charge. Food also took 40 min - 1 hour to be finished. They call you when it's ready. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a line out be door on a Friday lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would suggest calling ahead and placing an order over the phone. There is also a 3% charge for credit cards so bring cash. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's also zero seating - take out only.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place is popular af so be prepared to wait because there is always a long line! Also When coming here do not park across the street you have to park inside of that parking lot or you will get TOWED, I witnessed two cars being towed when I visited this place and they were customers for queens cafe ! Parking is free for 2 hrs so you don't need to pay unless you stay pass 2 hrs! Other than that the Poke was fresh! The firecracker chicken was pretty good too it tasted like a perfect Korean fried chicken with a little bit of spicy! It's mouth watering !

Hands down our best meal in Oahu! The firecracker chicken was insaneeeee. The portion, flavors, everything was to die for. The sauce? Just wow. We placed our orders and there was a sign saying it would take about 20-30 minutes, and it took about that. It was well worth the wait. I will absolutely come back to Queen St. if I'm back in Oahu!

Solid plate lunch. Come early as they can be busy. Friendly staff and good food. Got the popular firecracker chicken- crispy chicken chunks w a sweet and spicy glaze. Mini plate is huge - got it no rice and just Mac and greens

Firecracker chicken and shoyu ahi combo with Mac salad

Grabbed a late lunch after flying home today. Service was friendly even though they were short staffed! They had a limited menu today as per staffing, but had most of their main items available. Note that there was a sign saying cash or Venmo only. Wait time was about 20 min. We ordered the combo firecracker chicken and shoyu ahi poke, limu poke bowl, and garlic furikake chicken plate. I enjoyed the firecracker chicken. Admittedly not the best fried chicken I've had but the flavor was definitely unique. Not too spicy, and pulled more sweet from the sweet chili sauce. Chicken was still crispy even though it was topped with sauces. Shoyu poke was alright, not a lot of shoyu flavor. Limu poke was also good, I think I'd prefer that over the shoyu. Garlic furikake chicken (~$15) was alright. Some pieces were tough. I'd probably pick somewhere else if I'm in the mood for garlic chicken. All in all, food was decent for the price. Poke bowl was a little pricey (I think around $20). You could probably find cheaper and more variety of poke options elsewhere. However, there aren't too many plate lunch stops in the area so it's a good option if you want something that might hit the spot!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Every time I drive past this place to go by the post office I smell the delicious aroma of BBQ and vow to pick up food one day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Hubs went by the other day so we could finally try it out. Food came fairly quickly considering the warning that it may take 20-25 mins for orders to be completed. We got the teriyaki salmon and steak/firecracker chicken plates with mashed potatoes and tossed salad. The salad had a lovely house dressing; bbq, chicken and salmon were all perfectly seasoned and so tasty. Worth the wait and excited to try more of their dishes!

I was in the area on Saturday and decided to come here for Lunch. I remember they had a really good steak plate. I ordered steak with limu poke, all salad w/oriental dressing. The woman who took my order was really friendly. The credit card machine was down that day so they were only taking cash or Venmo. The poke was so fresh and the steak was so good. The only thing that wasn't good was the dressing, I wouldn't recommend it. Probably just stick to the basics like ranch or 1000 island next time I come here.

Steak and lup cheong fried rice minus some steak because I couldn't wait. just know they give a good amount. It still looks full.

Prices are really fair and the workers are soo nice! Today I ordered the Kiawe steak with lup cheong fried rice. This place has good quality food. Good amount of steak and fried rice filled to whole half of the plate! Lots of meat in the fried rice and just to help customers out the shoyu seasoning is not aloha but I'm not sure if it's kikkoman or Yamasa. JIC that is or isn't the flavor profile you are looking for. I highly recommend and will be back.

Spicy Garlic Shrimp & Veggie Fried Rice... it was pretty flavorful, not too much spice- large portion size. It seemed to be best to place order over the phone, then pick up- its a to go type spot. I would def recommend the dish that I had...

We haven't been here for years! We ordered the UH special plate and shared it because it was a lot of food! Everything was ONOLICIOUS, the ahi fish katsu with tartar sauce, luncheon meat was sliced thick, furikake garlic chicken was juicy and soft and the kiawe steak was cooked to perfection medium rare with kim chee fried rice. The wait was about 25-30 minutes as posted which we didn't mind. There were already a couple of customers waiting and then some after us. We'll be back again to try out the rest of the menu and get some sweet goodies. Mahalo Queen's Cafe!

Free parking is plentiful and you can either enter from porte cochere or by the white vinyl fencing which is the way we enter- there's ADA parking stalls and then we walk along the pathway next to building til you get to their lanai. The view is spectacular of Pearl Harbor and greens. We love sitting on the lanai and its seat-yourself so a server will come out to give menus. The place has been bought so a complete renovation with lovely new chairs, tables, couches, even a fire pit! Inside there are TVs abound and a nice full bar with 10 seats and TV. The breakfast menu is pretty darn good and hats off to their chef! It's healthy, delicious, nice portions! We love the $17 fish breakfast with a nice piece of salmon, rice, two eggs and fruit garnish. Perfectly prepared each time! My daughter and I also enjoy the omelette which has choices of meats, veggies so we always get the vegetarian one and boy is it fat and ono! Comes with rice, potatoes or toast. What's also special is their complimentary cornbread per guest - each of us receive our own plate of two squares with butter and jelly. Service is always excellent! You'll be lucky to have either Annie, Nette or Jazlyn - Annie and Nette been there for a long time and made the switch to those newfangled-techie-handheld computers - they take our order with such grace that I'm proud of them lol Jazlyn is very sweet too and takes care of us old folks like we were her own parents. Our 2-year old granddaughter enjoys eating there too and looks forward to seeing Annie, Nette and now Jazlyn! They bring two new crayons and a cute picture of dinosaurs golfing to keep her occupied while us grownups chat. Usually not very busy if you go before the first round of golfers pau. Bathrooms are right around the corner - no stairs to access. Their pro shop is upstairs if you care to check it out. The only thing I wish they had is papaya. They do have a nice little fruit cup for $5 chock full of strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, and grapes. They are having an Easter Brunch on April 20 with an extensive buffet (posted pic of menu) for $75 adults, $45 for ages 4-12 and free for kids 3 and under. This is our first time attending so will be back with a review.

The burger itself tasted good as it was cooked with bread mixed in it to make it soft but once you started eating it, the burger fell apart. The bun was thin so it was messy as the sauce and burger started falling out and you needed a lot of napkins. Some people like it messy but it's not my thing. The onions and pickles were a perfect match. Too much American cheese. ________________________________________________ The Premium Purists: 5/10 I was looking forward to trying the burger at Forty Niners and hoped it would be an old fashioned/traditional style deluxe burger. It definitely had the look and right toppings but the patty was a little disappointing. After my first two bites the patties crumbled into pieces and the texture seemed off. It was too mushy and lacked good beef flavor. After learning they mix breadcrumbs in their burger patty, I think the patties I got were not mixed well and the ratio of beef and breadcrumb was off. That is probably why the texture was off, it lacked beef flavor, and crumbled. I would honestly give it another try and go with a single patty. ________________________________________________ The stack analyst: 7/10 Tried the double cheeseburger(dirty style) at 49ers and it was delicious. The fried pickles were the highlight for me. I love fried pickles and they worked really well on the burger. They also didn't hold back on the caramelized onions, which added flavor. The burger had four slices of cheese, so it was definitely rich. The patty had a nice sear on the outside, it did fall apart though. I would've liked a little more salt, but I know that comes down to preference. Bun was nothing special, just your standard setup, but it got the job done. I'd definitely come back and order it again! ________________________________________________ Double stack daddy: 6/10 The burger had a solid foundation, but it was missing flavor and could've used more seasoning. The biggest downside was the bun--it fell apart after the first bite, making the rest of the meal messy. Not a bad burger, but it didn't stand out, and there's definitely room for improvement. ________________________________________________ Bruddah big buns: 4/10 Da patty was mushy. ________________________________________________ Captain messy hands, keeper of the drip: 8/10

Location: Kitchen Deja Vu is located inside the Blue Tropix Bar & Grill, which just so happens to be right across the Chili's from Pearlridge Center. Parking: Plenty! You can park anywhere in the Pearlridge Center parking lot Food: We ordered 5 items 1) pan fried pork cheese buns: 10/10 - pillowy soft bread expertly soaks up all the juices from the pork filling, perfectly pan fried bottom adds a bit of crunchy texture, pork filling was seasoned well and there was a decent amount of cheese inside as well (it was giving pizza flavor vibes), supposedly "spicy" but it wasn't too bad at all so this would be good even for those with a low spice tolerance 2) pulehu style short ribs: 10/10 - incredible smoked and grilled flavor, cooked and seasoned to perfection! They're not stingy either, nice portion size and a hearty amount of meat on each short rib too 3) big shrimp potstickers: 11/10 - succulent pork & shrimp filling filled to the brim of wrapper! Very on brand because these buggahs was massive and sooo tasty! Classic potsticker taste and there's a whole shrimp in there too, paired with their shoyu vinegar (I think) sauce and wooo this one was winnnahz ‍ 4) charsui udon: 10/10 - nice & chewy udon noodles and absolutely loaded with charsui and veggies that were so wonderfully stir fried allowing them to soften just a little but remain crispy, adding another layer of texture to the dish and ensuring you get a nice little crunch in every bite! 5) kau yuk (caramelized pork belly): 10/10 - big chunks of sweet & savory pork belly, but not as sweet as the name would have you think. It's actually perfectly balanced, you can definitely taste some authentic asian spices going on in there, and the meat was nice and tender Service: 11/10 We ordered take out but you can absolutely dine in if you wanted to, plenty of booths and/or tables to choose from. But I did wanna mention that we were lucky enough to meet Charlie, the owner! Really nice guy, after we gave him our order, our server Kyle took such good care of us.
