I'm amazed how fast they were when making sandwiches for me and my parents. The workers were attentive and swift. There was an assembly line of them making the sandwiches in house. It was towards the end of the day so they ran out of most of their choice's of bread , tomato, and sprouts (complimentary toppings) which is no biggie. Ordered three "Vinny" which is like an Italian sandwich with wheat bread (which all they had that night) my choice of seasonings, oil and red onions. It was well made sandwich wrapped nicely, no spills since I had some oils, however I prefer to try that sandwich with a different bread next time and wish there was a little more protein. Inside the shop, was very clean, but bright like being in a yellow blue submarine that's trying to be tropical. Overall, it's a friendly atmosphere with the walls giving "military on tropical island vibes" lol I mean it is near base and they do have some variety of vickies and utz chips at the front of store. Will be back next time to try other options.

Then i was told by the 'sandwich maker' even before i ordered that I could not watch her make my sandwich because 'This is NOT Subway'. Weird, but AAHH, ok... so I ordered a sandwich with extra mayo. The sandwich maker is making my sandwich, even tho I was told 'not to watch, I can see her, she's scraping off the mayo, so I asked nicely if I could have extra mayo. She tells me, loudly that I need to order what I want at the register! The cashier then tells her, she did, she ordered extra mayo, no lettuce. I guess if you don't order EXACTLY the way THEY want you too they get offended and yell at you!!! I asked the cashier how long they've been open. He said 3 months. In my opinion that's way long enough to have your act together !!! There's No ALOHA at this location! Yes I walked out and went to Subway where everyone is happy to have your business! I rate this place at ZERO STARS!

The roasted chicken - requires 20 minutes to prepare - gyoza (chicken or beef) and the orange chicken are deliciously delectable, and are my favorites. The fried noodles (no bacon is available) are the perfect accompaniment to the aforementioned entrees. Rice is also available. Chelsea is extraordinary at providing consistent superior customer service. She never fails to greet customers promptly and kindly. Chelsea wears many hats as the greeter, server, barista and overall front of house manager. It can be extremely busy, but Chelsea hustles and does her absolute best. So bring your appetite and a dose of patience. Online ordering is a great option. On your initial visit it may be difficult to find, but the discovery is well worth the hunt. It can be daunting to find the entrance, walk through a corridor and netting. But don't be deterred nor frustrated. I highly recommend trying the Sweet Corner Cafe. Say hello to Chelsea for me.

The orange chicken was crispy, flavorful, and coated in the perfect sauce. The coconut shrimp was amazing, and the tempura chicken was so good that you would never guess it was gluten free. We also had the pineapple sausage, gluten free fried rice, and locally sourced organic eggs, and every single item was fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. Chelsea, our waitress, was on top of everything from start to finish. She was funny, kind, and very educational when explaining the food items and their preparation processes. After running a half marathon today, I was exhausted, and Chelsea genuinely lifted my spirits. It is rare to find gluten free food this good, especially fried items with such great texture and flavor. Sweet Corner Café exceeded every expectation. She was so patient in explaining the menu and giving recommendations. Papa Smokes Burger with Waffle Fries $20+$4 - superb! May need to split with a buddy. So meaty. Great waffle fries! Lobster salad $26 - just like my fav lobster roll but without the bun. Didnt feel like getting my hands dirty, so decided on the salad. Surprisingly, with the pickled veges, didnt even need salad dressing! Plantation tea $5 - tasty drink in a cute cup. Next time will try the birria melt and strawberry slushie! Perhaps tomorrow!

Me and my husband was trying to do our order, and she just stood there with her no emotion face! And just stood there. So I thought she couldn't hear because back ground was loud. After the 5th time yelling my order she finally start punching it in register. I ordered the lobster buttah roll, tasted like seafood sandwich from subway, with pickled veggies. The so called lobster tasted like cold leftover imitation crab salad. Not worth $30! For imitation whatever that was! My daughter had their garlic chop steak, 3 pieces of slimy steak! Rest veggies. My son had the pot roast loco, um gravy smelled like peanut butter, my son said tasted weird. Finally our food is ready and I check our order and I thought I was missing a plate, so I ask the same no face lady. And she kept pointing to the receipt and said read read. So finally I ask my husband did he order anything else he said no. So I apologize to no face lady and she just stands There. The amount of money we paid for 2 plates and my so called lobster roll and No customer service!!! Nope not Again waste of money and time! What happened to the aloha spirit? Where the hell am I?

As soon as I opened the box, I was impressed by how generously stuffed the sandwich was with tuna, along with the large portion of chips on the side. The tuna melt was delicious, a flavorful tuna salad packed with pickles (I love pickles), served on perfectly toasted bread. Every bite was satisfying. The chips tasted fresh and homemade, and I even used some of the tuna that fell out of the sandwich as a dip for the chips, which was yummy! The staff was friendly, and I appreciated how easy it was to place an order by phone and pick it up without any hassle. Parking was also a breeze, plenty of stalls available next to the building, so there was no need to worry about finding parking. Overall, Leilei's is definitely a treat yourself type of meal. It's one of my favorite sandwich spots now!

I remember seeing French Dip on the menu back then so that's what I ordered for myself with a side order of fries. My husband ordered the Teriyaki Pineapple Burger with a side order of fries. We also ordered the chips and Fresh Clam Chowder to share. My thoughts: - French Dip on a French roll with truffle aioli, London broil roast beef, picante provolone, sautéed onions and mushrooms, and au jus: I enjoyed this! Lots of meat and the bun was soft which is how I like it. When I brought it home and opened the au jus container, I thought they didn't give enough BUT it was...whew! Since I ordered a lot of food, I could only eat half a sandwich...tomorrow's lunch. Yay! - Teri Burger with house made Patty, a pineapple ring with teri sauce, mayo, red onion and romaine lettuce on the side: My husband was skeptical about the pineapple but said it worked and would definitely order this again. - Both the fries and chips were a little too burnt and oily for us so we'd pass on this the next time. - Clam chowder: I was looking forward to this with the bread bowl but they no longer sell it with the bread. They said the bread they could get was too small that there wouldn't be much soup. I ordered the soup anyway. It was thick with lots of clams, bacon and potatoes...very tasty! We ate only half so another leftover for tomorrow...yay again! FYI: - Located on the corner of Mokauea Street and Hau Street - They have about 5 reserved parking stalls in front of the gray bldg on the Hau Street side - Offers Military and First Responder discounts - Charges 3.5% fee for credit card payment - Clam chowder available Thursday thru Saturday or until sold out - Condiments located in the small black refrigerator located on the right of the food truck I want to try their smash burger so I'll be back!
