Super cute place that's very laid back. Perfect for grabbing drinks with friends or for happy hour. They have indoor and outdoor seating which both at nice, just depends on your vibe. Severe greeted when we first walked into the outdoor seating area but to order we had to order inside at the bar. Not sure if this is standard or because they had an event going on, either way we didn't mind. The pizzas are yummy (we got the pepperoni and the Hawaiian). The food came out fast and was still hot which is a major plus. The paper plane drinks were average. After we got our food nobody came to check in on us, but maybe since it's a very laid back establishment and you order at the bar, maybe that's how things are done. I'd come back again when they aren't having an event. Check them out!

Wow! This place is true to its name...it does look like a Public Library, a prestigious-looking one at that! The architecture is fascinating! Whoever owns this place is so awesome to have preserved it. The place feels cozy inside, it has a lot of seating, including a set of couch on both sides of the restaurant. The books are real!!! You gotta see where the restroom is...the way to it is like a mini library shelves maze (I know it's a lot of words...but it's the best way to describe it). The crew is nice and pleasant. They bake their pizzas in an outdoor stone oven. We got the Pepperoni with hot honey sauce. The pizza is delicious! We will definitely be back and try the other ones.

Super friendly staff, love the vibe, they have indoor and outdoor seating. Drinks tasted good and were made well. Pizza was made in a woodfire grill which added flavor! Tri-tip salad was made fresh and the wings were pretty average. Overall, I recommend coming here with friends or your significant other, on the pricier side for the food, average prices for the drinks.

The Library Bar was such a cool experience. I absolutely love books, so this place was perfect for me. The atmosphere was cozy, unique, and full of character. I ordered a Midori Sour, husband has a michelada no alcohol and it was refreshing and well made. Service was good, and while the food was o yummy they are on the smaller side though, so if you're hungry, I recommend ordering one for yourself. I'm from out of town, but this is definitely a spot I'll visit again and recommend all book lover to visit you won't be disappointed.

Waited over 20 minutes for 2 drinks. They only brought one. Then waited another 10 minutes for the other drink. The bartender dropped it off. Not friendly. First time here. Won't be back.

Took 25 minutes to make a salad. Seemed the hostess wanted me to pay before receiving the food. Pretty cool building. the bartender brought the cocktail but forgot the water. The kitchen help brought the salad out. Had to ask for utensils. The rr gimmel was good. Charges 8.13% Vacaville tax. Wanted to try the beets salad

The Library was actually a great break away from the typical bar/restaurant scene. It's very intimate, close, and warming the moment you walk in and seeing all the amazing collection of books throughout the restaurant was something that sat very well in my soul. The collection of books was donated from a UC Berkeley professor after he passed and I must admit, a nice collection at that. There are seats, sofas, and tables scattered throughout the area and a nice sized piano in a corner. I was thrilled to see little knickknacks all throughout the bar location. I asked the bartender about some little toys that were hidden on top of some of the shelves and he said that when kids forget their toys, they hide them around the area. So if your kids end of missing your toy there, they'll be sure to have it somewhere. To the food. We ordered the pepperoni pizza and the wood oven mac and cheese. They tasted great and was delicious, there was no left overs! The mixed drinks tasted great and we enjoyed a few beers that was available on tap. Nice establishment! Definitely recommend!

Didn't get food today but eyeing those pizzas I'll definitely be back for them! This is such a cozy and vibe bar and restaurant. The interior is like a mansion library. It's classy and elegant. I got a grapefruit spritz and sat at the bar. The drink is so good! Service is also fast and friendly. The bartender saw me taking pictures and suggested different tricks I love that! The bar table is make of a book shelf. The books are perhaps not functional but it's just such a vibe! There's also a large outdoor area so when the weather gets warmer it would be great to enjoy some drinks and pizza outside!

Just stopped by for drinks. I love libraries and this old Carnegie still has good bones even though now a cocktail hangout. They were busy so took a bit to get my mixed cocktail after ordering. We sat down and were given a number to place on table for when drink order was delivered. Just needs a few cozy solo spaces and that would make it even more delightful.

They give you a number if you're drinking inside and then deliver your cocktails to your table - I did love this

Of course the first time I come here, old man Too Short was next door- needless to say it was chaotic. They have bar seating, but I am unsure if due to the concert they said you could not sit and order, you had to wait in the long line to order. Exactly why they don't get stars, the ones I did give are for the staff only. They were super friendly. I was not impressed at all by their menu, they have nothing that is unique to them other than a ton of basic and classic cocktails. They need a bar manager crafting and inventing some cocktails specific to "The Library". Due to the long line, they did allow me to order two drinks, and truthfully for the cost which trust me I am not complaining about, it's the glass it came in? It was giving dive bar and this is not a dive bar? I was confused? Overall this was no for me, not coming back. I think ppl from Vacaville might be into this if they don't know any better, but for someone who is huge on hand crafted cocktails yall need to step your game up! Sorryyyy

Beautiful place! I love all the furniture and the books! Thank you Morne for the amazing hospitality!

It was just our party in the venue during that time, a combination of kids and adults. There were plenty of tables for all of the snacks we brought, including pizza, spam musubi, and cookies. My bf and I purchased drinks from the bar while there. The staff was helpful and friendly to our group the entire time. They even explained how to use the simulators, as there were lots of buttons on the floor and a variety of options for play. This included match stroke, driving range, putt putt, box crush, island hop, mushroom bump, foursome, scramble, and more. The kids had a blast playing pretty much everything, while the adults engaged in a variety of simulated golf matches and driving range. The staff guided the adults through some of the features like replay in slow-mo... guests can even connect on golfjoy.com. Also, loved the automatic golf tee that rises from the ground with the ball ready to hit. The arcade in the back offered plenty of pinball fun too, mainly newer machines. We enjoyed our time here and appreciated them accommodating our large and crazy party.

Which was why when craft beer boomed everywhere else, I wasn't at all surprised that it was largely absent from Vacaville. & that is also why Solano Brewing Company was such a pleasant discovery for me. On a visit back to the area, a friend I used to homebrew with for years introduced me to an actual craft brewery with, technically, a Vacaville address. While it's a good distance outside of town, it's still close enough to be someplace to go around Vacaville that's more interesting than the town's repetitive corporate chain dining & big box retail. It's a great spot to grab some quality brews. There's plenty of parking. There's inviting spaces, both indoor & outdoor, for sitting & relaxing a while. The outdoor area is quite expansive. The service has been friendly & welcoming. & yeah, I like the beers. For me, Solano Brewing Company is 1 of the better breweries in the Vacaville/ Dixon/ Davis region. So if you're in, around, or near Vacaville looking for a day/ night out to chill & maybe have a beer, consider Solano Brewing Company as an alternative to the ho-hum humdrum predictable complacency of the town's many name recognition chain brands. I now have so much fun there, I have begun to go at least once a week. First off, the staff is wonderful. I don't know everyone's names, but they are always happy and helpful. Any questions regarding any of the beers or anything else for that matter are promptly answered. If its beer related and you just aren't sure, they happily offer a taster. I find almost all the beers delightful. There's been a few duds, but I like that they are always trying new things. The menu has some consistent favorites, but you'll see new items fairly consistently. I especially enjoy "Hazy on the 80" and the "Scottie Rippen". Inside seating is somewhat limited but it's cozy and there are seats at the bar as well. Outside seating is plentiful and awesome on a beautiful day. Plenty of covered areas as well for the not so pleasant days. Kids and pets are very welcome. There's a playground and grassy area. It's also spacious enough if you just want to be around other adults and not be bothered by all that type of hoopla. There is a rotating carousel of food trucks and live music. Best to check their website calendar to see who is there and when. Plenty of great trucks and wonderful bands from what I've seen thus far. There are also themed events ranging from cornhole tournaments to music bingo. So don't be like me and sit around for years before going. Get off your culo and meet the gang out there.
