You guys! This place is SO awesome. Such a chill, vintage bar in an old time library. So many different drink options, and Evan always hooks it up with amazing beverages! My friends and I have become regulars here because of how amazing this place is! My friend is a musician and plays a little bit of piano and Evan totally pulled out the grand piano for my friend to play some music. Such a great experience. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Such a massive miss. The space is great. The crowd is pleasant. The music is fun - too loud, but not to the point of having to leave. The female sax player was awesome. But the food and drink? YIKES. Let's start with the food prices: cheap, but you get what you pay for. The steaks are supermarket quality or less. Rawhide quality, but at least seasoned well. The service? HORRIBLE. Worst I've experienced in decades. Going into a place like this - and ordering what you want on an iPad - and giving your credit card to the guy behind the counter - all bad (and dangerous). Then waiting twenty minutes for your drinks....WHAT? I kept asking myself "WHAT IS THIS PLACE????" They don't seem to know. When the food arrived, it was like this: one of us ordered a pizza, and it was delivered to him. 10 minutes later the baked brie was delivered. 10 minutes after that the first steak (medallions) was delivered - and then 10 minutes after that the last NY Steak (which, as it turns out, was pretty much exactly the same as the medallions except in presentation. Putting in your order and then being directed to "take a number and place it prominently on your table so the "server" can find you" made me feel like I was in fast food restaurant (but trust me, there's nothing fast about this place. NOTHING). It pains me, because we need more non-chain restaurants in Vacaville, but this place needs to go away and give the space to somebody who's serious about delivering a nice dining and beverage experience - because this aint that. read more

Fyi this rating is for the pizzeria dining experience not the bar or speakeasy style part of this place as that would be a totally different review. Service was super slow as it was short staffed with just one guy making, cooking and delivering pizzas to the dining room from outside. Pizzas are pretty pricey at $21-25 for what is a typically a medium pizza. Good Woodfired pizza should be $15-20 or less unless you are in San Francisco where tonys charges $25-30 for one and that is award winning pizza. If they bring the prices down, hire more employees this place could be popping but right now most wont spend that much on a medium pizza and have to wait over an hour for it. Im writing this and we havent gotten our pizza yet. Finally got pizza and once I started to pull slices apart I knew the dough wasnt good (I make homemade dough with fresh yeast culture) as I was pulling the slice apart the dough was tearing apart too easily your dough should be strong to where it doesnt tear at the slightest pull. Id say this dough was very similar to pillsbury canned dough, no flavor and similar to pretzel dough in consistency. I'd recommend they hire someone that knows how to make a good dough if they want people to come back for their pizzas. The employees were kind and hardworking I dont put this experience negatively on them it is a problem with ownership, management and an understanding of quality wood fired pizza. The pizza has flavor but with 50 percent of a pizza being dough you gotta do it justice. I was hoping to have a good wood fired pizza in town I could frequent but sadly this wasn't it. Was really hoping to see this place do OK. Very limited hours. The first time my wife and I came a couple of months ago, the menu wasn't large and at the high-end of pricing, but the food that was offered and service was really good. My wife and I returned a couple of weeks later. We recently took friends from out of town there on a Saturday night, and unfortunately, nothing but outdoor wood-fired pizza is now offered. The kitchen has essentially been closed. Further, the service was terrible. After our cocktails were ordered, the bartender looked over the order and finally made them after about 10 minutes. Although it was an early dinner, the place was nearly empty, and we were sitting right there near the bar, we had to wait another 10-15 minutes for the server to bring them over. She only did after we asked her to bring them. I don't know why the bartender just couldn't bring them when the server was missing? We tried 3 different pizzas. The pepperoni was pretty good. That drizzle of honey on a pizza...was great! The pizzas are a typical small size from like any franchise pizza maker. We ordered 3 pizzas, and 5 cocktails. Our bill was @ $190.00 and it took 90 minutes. The second round of drinks waiting for pizzas took just as long. Giving it 3 stars because of prior experiences. The place still has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, at $25 for a $10 pizza and $15 for a $10 cocktail, with not very good service, probably some bad mojo in there. Currently, this establishment would serve more as a social bar than a food venue. Picture going to your favorite library with some comfortable chairs and sofas (and some not so comfortable tables and chairs) and it has a bar! If you want outdoor fired pizza, cool. But you'll pay. Right now, it is a pre/post-date night cocktail venue. Stop in before or after a movie. If you are going to another restaurant nearby with food, stopping in here for a cocktail before or after dinner could be cozy. Without a real menu, not very good service, and no music, it is a date-night stop, it is not a date-night destination. I think it might be tough to make it make it as a pizza joint. read more

Visited this establishment on 5/16/25 due to the Afroman show at the Journey Venue. We ordered a tri-tip steak salad & a wood fire pizza (what they are known for) pepperoni with garlic, hot honey drizzle & we added prosciutto to it. This was at 6:40pm. One of our family members was performing before Afroman went on stage at 7:40pm. Great; we'd have time to eat & get in to watch them perform. Time is ticking. It's 7:20pm... no food. The man in charge or at least worked there (guessing a manager?) whom was overlooking the wood fire pizza station outside, spoke with my partner explaining to him they got busy but our food was on the way- my partner had to ask what was going on with our food. He guaranteed us our food was being worked on & it would come out shortly. It's 7:40, my salad came but no pizza... my partner went inside to watch our family member preform; I unfortunately had to miss the performance due to our pizza not arriving. To say I was extremely upset would be an understatement, we came to watch them perform & I had to miss it. I approached the man at 7:50pm who spoke to my partner earlier who was at the wood fire pizza station & asked for a refund, we had waited over an hour for a PIZZA! He said no, that the pizza was ready & kept asking if I was inside the venue or at a table. He stated they got extremely busy- that's a you problem sir not ours. I had went inside and saw a table of 4 who ordered a while after us have their food (2 pizzas, wings, drinks) all arrive & eating before we got our 1 PIZZA! They finally delivered the pizza to the table I was seated at 8pm. That's right 8pm. Worst service, did not get to enjoy our food, missed my family performance & when we looked at the pizza NO PROSCIUTTO ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? Will never return here, & the pizza was not worth the wait or taste, let alone an extra charge for prosciutto that was not on the pizza. Asked for a refund was denied & the only excuse they gave was because they were "busy" just say you forgot or did not care about our food, comp the meal & let's be on our way. The library should have stayed a library & not turn into a restaurant that cannot properly serve their customers correctly or professionally. I would give them 0 stars but yelp will not allow for it. Never again. Thanks for one of our worst dining experiences, we drove over an hour to be there & missing a performance that meant something. read more

Waited 15 minutes to be served, and then our server brought one of two drinks out. After 20 minutes, with no checkup finally went up to the bar to and the drink was still in the shaker! Went to see a local artist and friends on open mic night, they were all very impressive. Loved the old library feel and architecture ! Brick oven pizza on the first floor outside, wow delicious, slightly burned but that's all part of that baking experience. Pizza sauce was a bit on the sweet side for the pepperoni but I really enjoyed that change up. Service was right on spot at the bar and at the table. Can't wait to return.
