Nice venue, great place to take the grand kids, yet small enough to keep that home town feeling. The food trucks vary, so you are getting a variety of different cuisines. They have a nice taproom and a facility for larger private parties.

We brought the family for a nice outing as I heard there was a play area for kids. The grounds are nice and well kept. My husband and I were able to sit and have a beer while they played. I had a Pilsner and he had a blonde and both were very good. Service was quick getting our beers. If this place had a kitchen, it would be five stars. They had a food truck, but the selection was small and the line was a bit long at times so we ended up leaving to go have lunch somewhere else. I'd like to be back a night that they have some music for sure.

I'm not a big beer drinker but I'll sacrifice for the ambiance! The staff has been so friendly Everytime I've visited. They have slushies for kids and an amazing outdoor play area as well. I love this hidden gem!

This a fantastic brewery even though they don't have a kitchen. Food trucks show up but that's a hit and miss. The playground for the kids is a nice touch. I think they just expanded their outdoor area, which turned out really nice.

Love this brewery! Very cute indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area is huge! Tons of tables and places to sit. Great for families and large crowds. I love how family friendly this place is. Almost every table had kids from birth to school aged. We brought our toddler and it was such a nice outing. They usually have a food truck on site. I believe you can bring in outside food. The only downside is they didn't have any ciders to choose from. Other than that it's a great spot to hang out and meet people. The staff was very friendly and service was great

On a drizzly grey day in December, a friend and I decided to treat our dogs with a walk in the Solano hills. After this damp and chilly activity, we treated ourselves to some very satisfying, delicious stouts beers at the new-to-us Solano Brewing located conveniently off I-80 and the Pritchard exit. They opened at noon this Saturday. Their tasting room was big and comfortably furnished. They even had a pretty Christmas tree to add to the festive spirit. At the bar, l saw that they had a golden stout and a hot Mexican chocolate stout on the menu. I sampled both, liked them both, but opted for the Mama Rosa Mex Chocolate stout. It's a nice problem to have to choose between two delicious beers. I don't get to do that often enough. The back patio is huge! The cover shelter is sturdy in the inclement weather we were experiencing. We were the first customers of the day, and one of the staff women came out and started up the beautiful long fire pit for us! Once it got going, it threw off quite a bit of warmth. The recliner Adirondack chairs were comfortable and the armrests were good surfaces to park glasses on. There were amenities there for our dogs, too! There was a little table with water bowls and treats so the pooches could be refreshed, too, with fresh water and a little dog biscuit. There were two food trucks parked in flat gravelly area of the parking lot: one serving cheese steak sandwiches and the other serving Mexican food. The two women staffers made the hospitable cozy visit very memorable. I am happy to discover such a pleasant brewery. I am a fan!

We went for the first time on a Sunday and this place is amazing! They have an indoor tasting room with TV's and a cool ambiance and an outdoor area to hang out and relax. We got three different flights to try out all the beers and were not disappointed! Everything was delicious! Even beers we don't typically like were so good! We ended up getting food and relaxing for quite a while. We liked the Berry me in cheesecake (I normally don't like sours at all) and the Scottie Rippen. They had slushies for the kids and our son was so excited! The customer service was so good and the patrons were super cool as well! We will definitely be back!

Stopped by yesterday to have a beer with friends. I really liked the hazy on the 80 that I actually ended up having 3 beers instead of one. When i walked in i was immediately helped with friendly service. The brewery was chill, clean, and a great spot to hangout.

Very fun atmosphere with fire pits out back. Nice selection of beers. The sour was the best and staff were friendly and efficient.

Ask the Community - Solano Brewing Company

So - sounds like this place only has two bathrooms for the entire establishment? Is that right?

Is there any food there?

No - but they do have food trucks on site providing light meals.

From entering the restaurant we were promptly greeted from the friendliest staff. We asked for outdoor seating in the little patio area to soak up some sun. Our waiter Austin promptly came to our table and suggested a few beers. Since I couldn't decide, I went for a flight to try a few. One of my favs was a sour too bad I can't remember the name. We got the Asian fries as an appetizer and they were delish ! Perfect crisp and toppings. We'll def be back when in the area. Great service from Austin ! Always checking up on us to see if we needed anything and enjoyed the small talk.

Attention Attention School is in at the university of beer…read more First I want to clarify, no one in my family drinks alcohol so why the University of Beer? Because you can also major in BURGERS!!! I looked up the best burgers in Vacaville, and that was on the list. So off we go. We brought our dog as they are dog friendly,,,as long as YOUR dog is friendly. Outside seating is where we were at. It was a beautiful night, the ambiance was cool bar motif, beer cans as tables and front of a classic and a water fountain (not turned on) the FIFA was on TV that night and had the game playing outside. The food: The burgers were as advertised delicious, good meat fresh vegetables lettuce, tomatoes, real cheese yum yum. My wife had the Nachos she enjoyed them, as did I, mmm stolen Nachos from the wife's plate. I had the calamari, mine unfortunately was way overcooked, rubbery like a chew toy, had good flavor but it was rubber. If fresh calamari can be eaten raw, so it can be easily over cooked. But the burgers were worth the trip. Service; Top notch, our server noticed our bog, (hard to miss a Big dog) the brought us a dog plate (picture included) we had fun there lots of laughs and smiles. Great place come try it. And bring the kids and your dog

Back Door Bistro, Vacaville: 2026 Jul 10 (4.29 of 5)…read more Ladies Gathering!! The service here is a 4.5 of 5. We had different servers who attended to us and they're both friendly and looked cheerful. We got there towards the end of Happy Hour and was presented with their Happy Hour menu. The menu is small, easy to read and has almost everything we'd want for that time of day - including the drinks. The food is a 'hit' or 'miss'. Here's my review: Drinks: Both the Arnold Palmer and the Cadillac Margarita were good. My lemonade tea wasn't overly sweet and I could definitely taste the lemonade. The pitcher of Cadillac Margarita looks innocent but may give someone a slow and powerful buzz if you're not used to the drink. (4.75 of 5) Charcuterie: This a complete appetizer board. Overall, there were some hits and misses, however, we agreed this is a well thought out appetizer board. (4 of 5) Crispy Brussels Sprouts: This is the best dish here, featuring deeply caramelized, dark golden-brown edges and a nutty, earthy flavor. Their Crispy Brussels Sprouts is also the best we've had. The seasoning is on-point, allowing the texture to show off its crackling, crunchy bite on the outside, contrasted by a tender, melt-in-your-mouth interior. (5 of 5) Seasonal Tacos: "Oh WOW!" The explosion of spicy and tangy flavours balanced by contrasting textures makes this dish "pop". (4.75 of 5) Beet Salad: The colours were lovely, but this beet salad was over-salted. The vibrant dish featuring beets as the main ingredient, balances the earthy sweetness with contrasting textures and flavours. If this wasn't too salty, it would have been more refreshing. (3.75 of 5) Coconut Lime Bouillabaisse (halibut, jasmine rice, spinach, snap pea, pickled shiitake mushroom, coconut lime broth, basil oil): Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Bouillabaisse means seafood. The only seafood we noticed were chunks of halibut, which were delicious. This dish looks and tastes more like an elevated Thai soup dish that cost too much. (3.5 of 5) After walking in, we decided to sit outdoors because of the loud music that was playing. We're glad we did. The overhang on the veranda was well positioned with plants and flowers softening the cement walkway. The weather was pleasant - with a gentle breeze blowing down the corridor. Parking is easy if you arrive early enough. One last note: Back Door Bistro in Vacaville was featured on "Check, Please! Bay Area"

On Friday around 5:30pm we were able to find parking out front on the street. You go in a side entrance which has a few outdoor tables and when you walk in, if you go right there is a bar area and left is the restaurant area. Looks like a place that families and older couples like to eat. We got there a little early so asked for a table for four. We were seated in about 5 minutes and while waiting for our friends ordered a drink. They offer beer, wine and cocktails. They have a large menu and have specials also. I ordered the Pear Collins and hubby had a beer. Once our friends arrived our waitress took our orders. We started with the Tequila Grilled Prawns and the World Famous Calamari. I ordered the Beet and Goat Cheese Salad and hubby had the Chicken Asiago Fettuccine. Our friend ordered the Pork Chop. The pork chop was huge and she said it was delicious. Hubby liked the pasta but although there was plenty of salad and beets, there was just a big glob of sour cream on top. Service was good and our waitress was very friendly and took good care of us.
