    Mashed potatoes

Such an amazing dinner. The food was incredibly fresh. The menu changes daily based on what's available from the farm. The gem salad had a lemony, refreshing dressing. The tortelli was also super fresh and light. The mashed potatoes were unreal--a must-order. The chocolate mousse dessert was delicious; you could taste the cherry in the whipped cream. Friendly service, a super cool bar countertop, great vibes--just an all-around fantastic dinner.

Food and our server were excellent. We ordered several things and they were all so good. It wasn't too fancy, but you could dress up for a nice night. It had elements of upscale dining, without feeling stuffy. Again, the food, SO GOOD. I ate too fast to even take pictures.

I now have a new favorite restaurant to visit when I come to Burlington on business...A beautiful establishment that is warm and inviting. As for the food, I only had one dish, but it was exactly what I needed on a cold fall evening...Get the roast chicken!! It is sinfully delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more!

I loved it. We didn't have reservations but we didn't have to wait too long for a couple seats at the bar. I loved the ambiance and decor, the dried flowers give it an extra touch. The service was second to none and the food was delicious. The bartenders were wonderful, extremely knowledgeable and made the most impressive cocktails. I loved the Rubin Carter. My daughter and I enjoyed every dish we tried. They even made the cabbage side dish off the charts. The little neck clams and endive salad were a couple of my favorites but we could have ordered 6 of the cabbage side dishes and been totally content with that, it was so good. I'm really looking forward to coming back with my husband. We both cook on the extravagant side, so it's tough to venture out to the unknown. Having said that, I can't wait to go back. I highly recommend it!!

This place is amazing. Came here for work and a local recommended this. Every bite was 10/10. The sauces with each dish were especially delicious.

Such a gem! We loved it so much we took the in laws immediately. Everything is SO fresh and the menu changes daily as a result! When we came back about 2 weeks later, no single dish was exactly the same! our absolute favorite was the schnitzel which is cooked so well. Crisp and juicy and came with a sweet fruit based sauce that paired so perfectly! All the dishes are amazing, the staff is sooo nice and helpful and the cocktails are also delicious! Beautiful setting inside, makes you feel cozy. Absolutely will be back!

Fantastic cocktails and very impressive wine list

I can't even begin to describe how amazing my experience was tonight. I went in to get a glass of a wine and ended up staying for dinner because every item on the menu looked so enticing. I had the Beef tartar, little neck clams and roasted oysters... each dish outdid the last. They made me a fantastic vesper martini. Lauren the restaurant manager was incredibly sweet and made phenomenal recommendations. Bartenders: Max & Cathrine were friendly, attentive and professional. The open kitchen concept is something I admire. Every inch of the establishment was impeccably clean and organized. My only regret is not getting the names of every employee working... they all deserve to be called out by name for the amazing service they provided me. If you are planning a date night, birthday dinner, or just want to experience (hands down) the best food in Vermont... I implore you to choose Frankie's. 10/10 will forever recommend.

We were warmly greeted, and they inquired if we were there for a table/bar seating, or the retail shop. We sat at the bar, and there were other customers at tables enjoying a glass and engrossed in conversation. They offer a small snack menu, along with a selection of wines, and they have a good knowledge and will provide counsel on the options. We ordered the ricotta toast and the lonzo, a ham similar to prosciutto. Both were delicious! The lonzo comes with a drizzle of quality olive oil on top, and a sprinkle of salt, and a dab of mustard. The ricotta toast (no pic sorry) was also tasty. The space leans to industrial loft, but is warm and invites conversations and relaxation. The shop also has a retail space, and a monthly wine club subscription is an option. It is separated from the restaurant, but not a quirk of their shop, but archaic Vermont liquor laws. We decide to subscribe and picked up our first selections to take home.

We sat at the bar for glasses of wine with lots of treats: a bowl of yummy olives, fancy tinned fish, bresaola, mind-blowing new award-winning blue cheese from Jasper Hill (withersbrook) and a cherry, tomato, almond, burratini salad...all served with slices of excellent bread. Perfect accompaniments to each plate: lemon and garlic with the fish, cherry conserves with the cheese, etc... We'll be back again and again, with friends in tow.

It didn't take long to identify the state's core competencies: Producing world-class cheese Perfecting brick oven pizza Aggressively curating a very specific political vibe Curiously, only two of those things are edible, and unfortunately, you can't get pizza without being reminded of the third. Also worth noting: I'm not convinced any other style of pizza exists in Vermont. If it's not artisanal, wood-fired, and served on a reclaimed barn board, it apparently doesn't make the cut. So naturally, my brain locked in and I ate pizza two nights in a row like a creature of habit. Night 1: Pizzeria Verità Parking was...aspirationally convenient. After navigating downtown Burlington, which feels like a live-action sociology thesis, I made it inside. Let's address the elephant in the room: the price. With tip, I dropped nearly $30 for what amounted to a personal-sized pepperoni pizza that politely declined to fill me up. I assume part of the cost goes toward sourcing ethically massaged tomatoes or ensuring the mozzarella had a fulfilling upbringing. Now, to be fair, the pizza was excellent. Truly. Great crust, quality ingredients, clearly crafted by someone who cares deeply about their art. But the value? That's where things get a little...Vermont. Delicious? Absolutely. Filling? Not quite. Financially efficient? Only if you measure wealth in vibes. I went in skeptical, left impressed, and still had to consider a second dinner.

It was good tho, nice garlic taste and covered with cheese. We also started with the Caesar salad which was really good. There were 5 of us and we split 2. I honestly was disappointed in the vodka sauce, it didn't have much flavor. I also thought the portion was small, if I didn't add the chicken I still would've been hungry after finishing. Initially, we were seated outside, which looked charming, but it was an incredibly hot day. Thankfully, our waitress was very kind and accommodating and moved us to a table inside without any issue. My partner started with a cocktail called the Queen of Hearts. It looked beautiful and he said it was refreshing and well balanced. I went for their house-made unsweetened iced tea and it was exactly what I needed on such a warm evening. It had a clean taste and was served cold, which really hit the spot. To start, we shared the arugula salad. It was light and fresh with a peppery kick, and the ingredients tasted high quality. For our main course, we split the Roma pizza. The crust was thin and crispy, and the toppings were flavorful without being overwhelming. It was more than enough for the two of us and left us both satisfied. The ambiance inside the restaurant was cozy and stylish, with warm lighting and a welcoming atmosphere. Everything felt clean and well maintained. Service throughout the night was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and the overall vibe of the place. Pascolo Ristorante delivered on flavor, service, and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a nice dinner spot in the area.
