The most delicious lobster mac & cheese
    Glenn H.

Ok I'm writing a live review. 4:56 pm and I was outside 4:57 they unlocked the door let me in first come , first serve. Suzwas my server bartender. 5:03 pm I ordered my first vodka martini and they had my brand. I ordered the lobster mac & cheese with the boneless ribeye, medium rare. 5:26 pm the food arrived. The river was delicious, but I did find a little fatty. I'm not gonna lie even for a ribeye. The lobster mac & cheese was perfect. The noodles were perfect. Just the right amount of lobster not to overpower the cheese. The maple crème brûlée I ordered at 5:40 showed up at 5:45 PM and it was heated by the kitchen. It was perfect. Overall, I would give this wonderful establishment a five star for what it is. It's not a big room. It's well decorated. The food is spot on and they even had my favourite vodka, which is not regularly available even though it is. Another Great Steak House that is Spot on. I started at the bar because it's first come first serve and the place was sold out which is not unusual for this place. Truly, the food was to sell at 4.5. I'm gonna give them a five star based on the server attitude server having my Preferred vodka, which they ran out of by the way, which was too bad Overall, what a great little place definitely bring your date. Enjoy your date. Have a great meal. This is the truth on this establishment !!!

Pro Tip: Sit at the bar and get the Wagyu Burger with hand cut herb fries and a glass of Caymus Cabernet. Perfect dinner spot while you're hanging out on Church St. Service and food are on par with the best steakhouses in Vermont. Highly recommend!

We choose EB Strong's for a client dinner while visiting Burlington for meetings. We had a group of 13, and were seated with a reservation in the private room, and everything was perfect. We had several servers checking in on us and we didn't need a thing, ever! Across the group we tried lots of dishes including the filet, surf and turf, crab cake, calamari, shrimp cocktail, salads, and chocolate martinis for dessert. Everyone enjoyed their food, and we had a great time.

This is a great place! We came here for an anniversary dinner and they did not disappoint. The cheese was good. The steak was amazing. The potatoes were creamy and flavorful. And we topped everything off with their creme brûlée and mudslide pie - both of which were very tasty. Our server made the evening special through her kindness and wonderful attention while providing service. The ambiance was pleasant and reminded me of an old Kansas City style steakhouse - this is absolutely a compliment. Highly recommend!

    Maple Old Fashioned

The food was great. Tops, almost NYC steakhouse, yet the charm of Burlington Vermont instead. Cooked correctly, to a perfect medium rare, which is at the limits to how much a steak should be cooked. Sides are often family style, order a couple things to share with everyone. The cocktail menu was good, and the maple Old Fashioned is one of the better of the genre I've had, of the various places that do that these days. The maple crème brûlée was arguably the biggest disappointment of an otherwise solid spread, with very little maple flavor coming through. Tasted mostly like a standard vanilla custard. Maple can be tricky to cook or bake with, but it seemed absent in this case. Oh, the bread and butter served to start was amazing though. The service was good. Burlington in this newly post pandemic area is still struggling to get staff, but the wait staff were courteous and prompt. Actually, I felt like our server was the perfect amount of interested. Not overdone, but attentive as needed. The ambiance is what I'd call "modern steakhouse". Linen tablecloths, but not overdone red velour coverings like of yesteryear, where you'd expect to see business dealings. This was more clean and modern, but also not the overly loud industrial loft motif that some places have. Can't afford to eat here all the time, but based on this experience will definitely plan to return for other special occasions at least.

Very nice steakhouse. Service was amazing. Loved my seared scallops and risotto. My drink was delicious. I believe it was called sunshine. Highly recommend. Our server was sweet, helpful, attentive and just excellent at her job!!

Wonderful atmosphere. Food & service were both good. Tuna & scallops both repeatable. We will return on next visit.

For even younger than they were food is superb as well as the service. It's not inexpensive, but well worth it.

The last time my bf and I went we ordered a special which was Dan Dan noodles with pork, the cheeseburger, and burrata with bruschetta to start. All of the food was full of flavor and fair portion size. Restaurant poco does not take reservations in advance. It's easier to get a seat in spring summer or fall when they open up their outdoor seating and so can host more guests. You have to go to put your name on the wait list regardless of the season and even in summertime with more seating it can be a 20-40min wait. They play good funky music which can sometimes be overwhelmingly loud inside (I.e. a jock jam will be playing at club volume level), that's one of my few complaints. You can be at a two person table and only a few feet away from your dinner date but not always hear them. This happens mostly just during the winter. Outdoor seating is nice with outdoor lights and easy to see and hear whomever you're dining with. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone as they always have great tasting food and good drinks. A little on the pricier side, but worth it.

Not the largest in quantity, but the tastiest. Pork Bolognese ($19) came with hand rolled pasta in a creamy tomato sauce with ground pork. Tuna tataki ($17) was a bit disappointing, sesame crusted and seared but extremely salty. Small plates, not the largest portions, but very cozy spot with friendly staff. Overall, not a bad choice for Burlington. Prices as expected compared to other spots in the area.

Overall WAY overpriced for the quantity/quality ratio!! The Malbec was GREAT and passion fruit margarita (B+\A-) but needs more alcohol for the price. C'mon!! A sister restaurant to Foam Brewers!…read more We spent a weekend in Burlington, VT visiting breweries, wine bars, a comedy show, eating, shopping and it was wonderful. Deep City was a recommendation for brunch from a local. It is the sister restaurant to Foam Brewers (right next door). When we walked in there was a small wait but not bad. We headed over to the brewery to grab coffee and to check it out. It is definitely a cool spot. They have a huge selection of beer, a small wine program (who knew) and small bites. Unfortunately they did not have TVs or else we would've come back to watch the football game but we did purchase some beer before heading back over for brunch at Deep City. The menu here is a little more Mexican-forward think Huevos Rancheros, but there was still plenty of items that looked appealing. We split the banana bread with maple walnut cream cheese (to die for) to share as an app which was fresh and delicious. I also ordered a fruit cup which was also good. We then shared their Huevos Verdes which is similar to Huevos Rancheros except it came with a tomatillo salsa. It was good but very sloppy to eat. Overall it was a great experience, and service was phenomenal. A great brunch place while visiting Burlington VT.
