I booked online for a blowout and was eager to check out this full service salon. As a new resident , I need a go to salon for hair , nail and facials . The establishment is clean and well appointed. Separate area for facials, which makes it quiet and private . Now, I was very disappointed with my stylist . I filled out the form and booked online and was very specific about what I wanted. Not quite sure what she was afraid of, but she hardly shampooed my scalp. She gently touched a few areas, and that was it. She began drying my hair and I asked her if she was going to use product in it and she replied yes but then she went on to dry my whole entire head without using anything on it and since I have dry frizzy hair, I really need a leaving conditioner. She didn't do a very good job at drying all of my hair and she did a horrible job at styling. I was very disappointed with my service I received with her and would never go back to her. She didn't seem like she wanted to work on me to begin with and she told me she didn't feel well, so I'm sure that that had something to do with it but you know what they say about first impressions. I may go back to try a facial or their nail service, but I don't think this is the place for my hair services. read more

First off, this review is specifically for a stylist, Taylor. I have had a couple of issues with their scheduler and scheduling (not Taylor's fault) that Juaquin (manager) attempted to address but that's not reflected here in the review. Taylor is hands-down the best. She started cutting my hair after Julia left and of course, I was a little hesitant because I have been getting scissor-over-comb cuts for years and I've had a couple of bad experiences. I had a cut and color appointment with China, and she did an awesome job and she picked the perfect color! They also gave me the option to donate my hair and I thought that was a nice option to include especially since I had about two feet of hair cut off. They have complementary coffee and massage during your appointment, and the products are all really good quality and smell amazing. Got my nails done... paid about $100. Less than 5 days later, I texted that my thumb nails were wiggling. Tried to get it fixed... was told she had availability, I said yes and then she didn't respond. My nail popped off completely a week later. She said well that's pretty good... about 2 weeks... I'll schedule you for a refill. Aka I'm not fixing your nail for free even though it's been loose the majority of the time AND nails shouldn't just pop off. Next thing I heard back was "I'm booked through the end of the year, but I can let you know if I get a cancellation." I booked a prenatal massage, manicure and pedicure to treat myself before my baby comes. The lady that did my massage focused on exactly the areas I asked her to! I've had over a dozen massages in the past few years and only one of therapist has worked on the areas I pointed out. Will 100% book with her again! I had my first visit to Karma today, Julian did my hair color and Charlie gave me a waterless pedicure, both treatments were divine! The entire facility is clean as a whistle and very thoughtfully planned out. There are plenty of products to choose from for every type of hair as well as jewelry and some apparel in the front lobby. Julian is a highly trained and skilled professional. Julian is an absolute gem and is SO incredibly talented with hair. My daughter is always asking for my hair to be blonde like hers and Julian made all my hair dreams (and my daughters) come true. A full foil with toning - and got to enjoy a tasty cocktail while processing. It is an amazing clean and well decorated business which has an excellent staff. The facial was amazing; the nail tech extremely nice, professional and spot on with color and care suggestion (Julie). Cosmetologist/ hair colorist/hair stylist (Julian) two amazing people who know their craft. It's a little pricey. Don't expect free wine/mixed drinks as in other nail spas. Everything comes at a price and it ain't cheap. The prices of drinks are comparable to a bar's prices. I would say treat yourself and find out first hand - you're worth it! read more

Update on an earlier 5-star review I gave this salon. I did love how my hair was done at this salon. It is cute and I had also gone there for a massage which I enjoyed. I have gotten my hair done there a couple of times since moving here, and I had been flexible with them, even when they called me the day of my appointment to reschedule so that my stylist could go sign paperwork to close on a home (why they couldn't let me know sooner than the day of the appointment that this needed to be done, I'm not sure, but whatever) and a second time due the Hurricane weather (my stylist drives from a distance and this one I did understand, I don't want anyone to be unsafe). I have never been late for or missed an appointment, and I had never asked for some kind of compensation due to the inconveniences of being rescheduled last minute. That being said, last week my credit card was charged $120 from this Salon, even though I haven't been there since October. When I called to inquire, I was told I missed an appointment that apparently had been booked last time I was there (in October) to get my hair done. I stated that not only do I not recall making any such appointment (normally I don't make advance appointments because I am a nurse and I usually don't know my schedule that far in advance, and in the event that I do schedule something in advance, I certainly schedule myself as unavailable on that day)...but I also had no kind of appointment card, no email, no text, no phone call, not even an email receipt for the charge of $120 to let me know anything about an upcoming or a missed appointment, or even for what I was charged for. The manager that I spoke with told me they were unable to contact me because I had somehow "opted out" of their text messages, even though I had been texted and called to confirm my last appointment there in October. There was no courtesy call from my stylist to inquire about the missed appointment, no one reached out to try to reschedule anything, there was just a $120 on my credit card that I luckily caught and called to inquire about. The manager that I spoke to initially stated there was nothing that could be done and that "no show" charges are firm and not able to be reversed, even though I had no way of knowing that I even had an appointment. They then offered to give me a 50% store credit to use there for any future services. I have never had anything like this happen and I have never had to dispute any kind of charge for anything, I am a very organized person and this is my first time ever experiencing anything like this, so I said "if that's the best you can do, I don't know what to say".... But then I spoke to my husband who said "no! Don't let them bully you! You did not do anything wrong here and a store credit for $60 is not acceptable for charging you $120 out of the blue." Anyway, I called them back and told them no thank you for the store credit and that I would be disputing the charge with my credit card company. I am super bummed to write this review because I love to support small businesses...but this is ridiculous. I still did give two stars because the front desk woman I spoke to (not the manager) was very kind, professional, and understanding, but I do have to say I will not be coming back to a place that upholds these types of business practices. read more

I went here for a cut and color. Had a 4 hour visit and walked out with messed up hair. The consult was almost 45 minutes so I felt pretty confident in what was going to happen. I asked for a darker color, not a ton of blonde, and a stacked inverted bob. I walked out with a ton of blonde highlights and a very uneven cut and was charged $200! When I contacted the manager, her stylist lied about what was discussed in the consult. I was offered the difference in what I was quoted and what I paid and was told that was $4! I received a gift card for the location by someone who said they didn't like going there because they charge you excessive fees, but I didn't realize to what extent that meant. Get a pedicure elsewhere, the costs are better, more all inclusive, and you're not charged an excessive amount in cancellation. $30 only gets you color here, and you don't want to lose half of that in case something comes up. read more

This is nice place well kept and had great reviews, but scheduling was a nightmare and the staff is all on a different pages. I will never use them again. Management was NOT friendly and the owner is dismissive of her customers. I know you can't please everyone but when you are super quick to dismiss a customer as if you have so many losing one is no big deal. Basically can't help you, won't help you, so I guess we can't do business with you. That's not a good way to stay in business in such a small community. Anyway, won't reccomend it, won't go there again and if asked I will gladly share my experience. This was the worst place I've ever gone to have a pedicure. And my nails painted. The pedicure for what it cost was in no way worth the money. Although my toes looked good as far as the paint I felt the complete opposite about my nails. I asked for a French tip on my own nails and she painted them straight across without any curve and painted the white so thick the were goofed up before I even left but I was so displeased I just anted to leave and get my polish remover on my fingernails right away. Visited on a high recommendation from another patron. I was 100% ready to make this my pedicure spot, even my spot for all the services they offer. I couldn't tell you the name of the girl who gave me my pedicure because she barely said two words to me the entire time. She would just stare at me, only communicated if it was absolutely necessary. I filled out all my forms and just had to hold them the entire time even though one of them was meant for the stylist? I was never offered a drink. I left paying $10 more than what it said online when I booked and with an awful pedicure. The polish is bumpy and uneven. My nails were not clipped or filed evenly, cuticles were not attended to. I really had high hopes. I have no problem paying good money for a good pedicure and drinks on top of that. I left feeling as though I was maybe being judged for how I was dressed. The woman was late for my appointment (which she didn't apologize for), then seemed stuck up, rude the entire time. I don't know if I wasn't her typical client, or not what she expected for her apt, but she was quiet and kept her nose up at me the entire service. The only time she spoke much was 1) when other stylists were talking to me or 2) when I turned my head to see someone I knew (which she snapped at me for doing). The girls at the front had very little idea of what they were doing as well. I asked them about the products on the shelves, and they didn't know the answers or how much they were. The one I happened to have check me out, didn't know how a GC worked, or tips. The space itself looked beautiful, just the people were a big turn off, and I won't be going back. A receptionist full time that answered the phones and you didn't have to leave messages that never was returned or call multiple times, well educated stylists that you show a photo and walked out with that cut and color and a high end feel.
