Good service. The bartenders are really creative and they seemed to be having fun at their job. Fantastic cocktails! Seems like a nice, casual spot. Bit pricey though. Will likely be back for dinner sometime.

It's been about a year since we've been in town and we decided to try them again since we loved their food the last time we were in town. The staff was very friendly and our server was very helpful. We tried the meatloaf with bbq which came with macaroni and cheese and green beans. The meatloaf was tender and very flavorful. The green beans had bacon and a great taste and the macaroni and cheese was very good - creamy and cheesy! We also tried the Prime Rib with green beans and asparagus - the Prime Rob was perfectly prepared; the asparagus was cooked just right and the green beans were of course very tasty. The au jus had a great flavor and the fresh horseradish was full of flavor. We also tried the Mahi Mahi with cauliflower risotto and mixed vegetables which were all very good. For dessert we had the crème bruelee which was very good - not the best we've had but top five for sure. We also tried the coconut tres leche which had a great flavor and texture. Finally, we tried the chocolate brownie with chocolate ice cream and raspberry drizzle, which was actually very good considering how simple it was. Great meal -'if we get back in town we will definitely stop by. I suggest making reservations because they fill up very quickly.

Moscow mule, ginger soy salmon with cauliflower risotto, Brussels sprouts, and butternut squash. So good!!

I had an amazing dinner at Rocktown. I came pretty late after driving in town. I was looking for something local and delicious, and settled on this spot. I sat at the bar feening for a Moscow mule. The bartenders were amazing. I didn't catch their names, however, they were a blast! So personable and friendly. I felt like I've been coming in for years. Even the patrons were super fun to talk to! I ordered the salmon. It came with cauliflower risotto, Brussels sprouts and butternut squash. For some reason, I imagined cauliflower risotto to be like cauliflower rice. I was wondering how they were going to risotto cauliflower LOL. But it was delicious risotto with cauliflower chunks in it. I really appreciated the amount of veg they give for their meals. The salmon was so good. Everything went very well together. I cleaned the plate! I am definitely coming back to this spot again. The vibe, ambiance, and food made for a pretty great way to end my day.

Recently went to Rocktown for the first time and had a great experience. The appetizers were some of the best I've ever had (fried green tomato's & potato croquettes). Ordered the meatloaf for my entree and it was quite good! It felt like something your mom would make in the 90s--in a good way. Whoever the bartender is--kudos to him. Drinks were INCREDIBLE and may be the best in Harrisonburg!

Service = B+ Atmosphere = A What would we order again? * Chicken gyro * French fries What would we not order again? * Onion rings - Too much breading. I bit into my onion rings a few times and wondered if there was an onion even in there. * Bean Burger - The aioli was too pickle-y/relish like. Anyone can throw pickles on a burger and call it aioli. Needs some heat or BBQ sweetness.

We came to the Rock because of the glowing reviews and because they still had open table slots left on Friday before V-Day. Service, ambiance, 5, but things fell down when it came to the kitchen. I got the meatloaf that was praised on Yelp and my V got the shrimp and grits. Shrimp and grits not bad, but you could tell the shrimp was not a premium shrimp, it was an average farm raised shrimp. The andouille sausage bits were burnt. Things really fell off the wagon with the meatloaf. For $25, I was expecting an excellent meatloaf that has a little bit of crumble and flavor. If not for the glaze on top, this really would have been flavorless. I believe it was overdosed with breadcrumbs. Mac and cheese was not, but you can get much better mac at Jimmy Madison's BBQ. Green beans were overcoooked because a few strings were actually black. The fried onion strings were on point! Please take this as honest feedback, not criticism.

Excellent cocktail with delicious food and friendly, efficient service. The inside of the restaurant is rustic-industrial with plenty to look at as you eat. The salad was delicious! Crabcake sandwich was tasty but overcooked a bit.

In town on business. Looked interesting and the menu had a good variety We shared the meatloaf. Delicious with a ketchup-tobacco sauce. Served with Mac & Cheese Server was awesome. (Katelyn). Atmosphere fun (old ice factory). Worth stopping.

The people at the restaurant were very friendly. It was a nice atmosphere with lots of natural light. They have a patio out front as well. Plenty of parking nearby. The food was a little touch and go. Fried green tomato - good crust on the outside. Nice sauce, but maybe a dollop of goat cheese on the plate would be a nice addition in case you want more tang. The meatloaf with mashed potatoes was very good! The mac and cheese could be slightly creamier with more cheese. The steak was cooked to medium-rare, just how i like it, but it was lukewarm, as if it had sat for a little too long. My sister got the shrimp and grits. Being from NC, we've had a fair number of this dish. The grits were not smooth and velvety, but grainy and toothsome. The sausage "croutons" were way too hard (borderline burnt) and very overpowering. The manager did comp it, so not mad about it. Now.... for the dessert, we shared the sticky toffee cake with caramel and vanilla icecream. This dessert definitely redeemed things a bit.

Delicious food, great service, and pleasant atmosphere. The menu offers plenty of options while keeping it small, which is always a good sign that the restaurant is focusing on quality over quantity. The server was attentive and friendly, and the place has a really nice vibe. It is also next door to a brewery, so make sure to to stop there before or after your dinner.

While visiting the area we wanted to visit the best places in the area. This definitely made the list. We had a large party of 10 and they accommodated. The vibe is like country meets fancy and done really well. The drinks were really good and you can tell they were handcrafted with attention to detail. They had a seasonal old fashion that was very well done. The food was great. I had the salmon with cauliflower risotto. Very good. Interested other items from the party and was not disappointed. The only thing that was just ok was the fried oysters. Can't put my finger on it but just was not that great. But a great place to come and a great staff.

We enjoyed our dinner at Rocktown Kitchen on Halloween night! I really liked my grilled salmon dish. Our server was attentive and the atmosphere was nice.

As far as a Middle Eastern market it's pretty typical. They make the best of the shelf space by stocking them to the max. If you've never spent time in the Middle East then it may seem cluttered, but this is normal for this type of store. There were 4 of us and we ate inside. The absolute stars of Babylon are the food and the people. The gentlemen working were very helpful with the menu and super attentive to anything we might need. They're from Kurdistan and were all very very nice. The food was wonderful. We got 2 large sample platters, large hummus, and a small tabbouli salad. One of the gentlemen heard me telling my friends how they make the Saj bread, within minutes he brought out a large fresh Saj for them to try. It was hot and amazing. All the meat on the platter had great flavor. The rice was delicious, flavorful, and extremely plentiful. The hummus was good. The tabbouli was very fresh with a nice citrus flavor. The platter came with falafel, Saj, sauces, small cups of lentil soup, plates of pickled veggies (2 types of cabbage, jalapeños), along with olives, onion, cucumbers, and lettuce. The fresh baklava was absolutely amazing. To cut the sweetness they gave us some delicious black tea to finish the meal. We all loved Babylon and will be going back whenever we're in the area.
