I just attended my volunteer orientation today. I highly recommend this organization if you are a cat or animal lover or if you are just looking to make an immediate, meaningful impact on your local community (or all of the above). Not only was the presentation very thorough, it was efficient and organized. There are so many opportunities to volunteer, from hands on to digital/remote. You can tell staff is passionate about their work and it's truly inspiring. They make great use of technology to streamline the self-scheduling process and are understanding of people's schedules and lives in relation to their volunteer commitments. I hope everyone gets an opportunity to help or donate to such a great organization.

My kitten Pato I adopted through Little Lion Foundation!

I love this foundation! They really care about their cats and were very quick to respond to inquiries! I adopted my kitten from them about a month ago and he is doing amazing. His foster parents did a great job socializing him. he is perfectly healthy and SUPER friendly and cuddly. I was able to find them through PetFinder. If you're looking for a cat to adopt ; do not hesitate to inquiry they are AMAZING. They handle all vaccines, neutering, and medical records.

Playing with one of their favorite toys so far!

I found the Foundation through their TNR program. They have traps (if available) that you can rent, which is very convenient.

They really help pets and people out. It's fun to foster a few kittens and see them grow up and get adopted.

Vaccinations are walk-ins only and their hours are currently Tue-Fri 8-5, Sat 8-2, and closed Mon/Sun. It was very easy to register my pet and get in line for vaccinations. This place does get very busy so we had 7 people in front of us and waited about 2 hours before we were seen. The wait was absolutely worth it though as my Daisy got de-worming, the 4 in 1 shot, and a flea topical oil for just $56. The price was only for the vaccine as the de-worming was fortunately free. The staff here at Golden State Humane were also very professional, friendly, and patient. I should note that this is not classified as an emergency pet hospital but rather a low-income animal clinic that offers your standard procedures. They do however offer spay/neuter surgeries. Overall, it was a great bang for our buck and we will be back in 3 weeks for round 2 of vaccines plus a first time check-up. I couldn't recommend this spot enough to anyone who needs affordable care for their fur babies!

I spoke with our hosts over the phone before the party. They answered all of my questions, offered to configure the lobby for our needs, and assured me that there would be several volunteers assisting on the night of the party. We loved hosting such a unique party. All our daughter's friends were mesmerized by the cats. With so many cats in multiple rooms (kitten room, main room, quiet room), each of the girls and adults found their "spot" and had a great time. There was more than enough space for the 23 guests we had The cats were so sweet and fun. With dozens of cats in the same room, you might think that the cats would be fighting or disruptive, but it was just the right mix of calm and playfulness. We brought in pizza and cupcakes, which we set up in the lobby. Cat Nap graciously provided tablecloths and some paper goods. The lobby is small and doesn't have the space for seating, but the girls didn't mind standing or sitting on the floor while they ate. They were eager to get back to the cats, so we didn't spend much time with the food. The volunteers absolutely blew us away with their hospitality. They offered to help us set up and haul trash, and they provided a first aid kit to a couple of our guests who got scratched by the kitties. They answered questions from our curious guests, and they kept the space very clean through the whole evening. Overall, we are so happy to have hosted a party at Cat Nap! Several of our guests are now asking their parents to have their birthday parties there, too!
