It was the start of something new. I'm definetly NOT a cat person.I would never think to myself "I NEED to have a pet cat !!!". But that doesn't mean I hate cats. Just more of a dog person. One morning I heard the tiniest meows coming from my drive way. I thought I was hearing things at first but then I realized... that's a kitten not a bird !! It took a broom & back & forth, but there was the tiniest black kitten under my husbands car !! We ended up naming him Lude. We fed Lude & he was a bit shy at first. It didn't take long for him to warm up to me. I made the effort of petting him daily so he wouldn't turn feral. I wasn't sure of the gender & I was worried about the possibility of him being a female & then there would be too many kittens in our backyard. I definitely don't want to contribute to the stray cat population here !! I did some research & came across this little gem not far at all from my house. With a couple emails, a date was set for Lude's surgery. The services offered included spay/neuter, rabies, de worming & flea treatment. The Little Lion Foundation also loans out the traps so no need to go out to buy one. The day of the surgery I was able to put Lude in the trap & didn't have to set up the trap to trick him in - so that was easy ! I dropped him off early in the morning & picked him up the same day around 4 pm or so. Lude was so calm & quiet the entire car ride home !! I left him in the cage over night which made me worry he would panic - but he didn't. The next day I was able to let him out & today he's back to his old self again clipped ear & all. BIG shout out to this amazing non-profit foundation !! Thank you for helping out Lude. We love the little lion foundation !

I just attended my volunteer orientation today. I highly recommend this organization if you are a cat or animal lover or if you are just looking to make an immediate, meaningful impact on your local community (or all of the above). Not only was the presentation very thorough, it was efficient and organized. There are so many opportunities to volunteer, from hands on to digital/remote. You can tell staff is passionate about their work and it's truly inspiring. They make great use of technology to streamline the self-scheduling process and are understanding of people's schedules and lives in relation to their volunteer commitments. I hope everyone gets an opportunity to help or donate to such a great organization.

My kitten Pato I adopted through Little Lion Foundation!

I love this foundation! They really care about their cats and were very quick to respond to inquiries! I adopted my kitten from them about a month ago and he is doing amazing. His foster parents did a great job socializing him. he is perfectly healthy and SUPER friendly and cuddly. I was able to find them through PetFinder. If you're looking for a cat to adopt ; do not hesitate to inquiry they are AMAZING. They handle all vaccines, neutering, and medical records.

Playing with one of their favorite toys so far!

I found the Foundation through their TNR program. They have traps (if available) that you can rent, which is very convenient.

They really help pets and people out. It's fun to foster a few kittens and see them grow up and get adopted.

I want to be very clear based on my experience, I do not recommend this clinic. I have never met or dealt with Sherri in person during my dog's care, yet she continues to email me presenting herself in a position of authority. From what I have been able to determine, she does not appear to be the owner, which raises serious concerns about who is actually responsible for this clinic. I also have strong concerns about whether Dr. Andrew Cabrera had the appropriate experience to perform the type of surgery my dog received, as my dog is still not recovering properly and continues to be in pain. I have had to seek care from another specialist at my own expense. My experience has included: Ongoing back-and-forth emails with no resolution Difficulty obtaining complete medical records and X-rays Struggles getting medication support Lack of accountability and follow-up care In addition, I have seen other public reviews from customers reporting serious issues, including problems with refunds and lack of follow-through, which is extremely concerning. Because of everything I've experienced, I strongly urge others to avoid this clinic and proceed with extreme caution before giving them any money. If anyone has had a similar experience, you are welcome to reach out to me. What should have been a routine procedure has turned into a stressful, costly, and ongoing situation. I am continuing to take further action and will update as things progress.

Don't come here. We…read morehad been trying to get our results back for Sandy regarding a suspected UTI as well as for them to respond to our insurance company to provide additional documentation they need in order to file our claim so we can actually use our pet insurance and get some of our money back for the appointment and lab testing costs. The initial appointment was back in mid December. It is now March and we can't get through to their phone number, it doesn't even ring now. Luckily we got the lab results back but we're still needing them to respond to our insurance and they've reached out twice to them directly with us CC'd. My boyfriend Jason even went to go in person in early to mid January to see what was up and the place was closed up and he was told by someone who was coming out of the building (this was at 2pm) that the office would open back up in 6 weeks!! No calls, no emails to warn of the closure, just up and gone for 6 weeks. They're still not answering their phones as of today. I'm just so disappointed by the negligence and we may not even be able to use our pet insurance since they're failing to provide documentation on their end. We tried to see if the pet history we were able to get from their site as well as the test results would suffice and the insurance said they need documentation directly from the vet itself.

I came here after a very big trauma in April 2019. I called ahead and spoke to someone who was very…read morekind regarding my situation and they said this was the place I should be and in the beginning I loved it. It really helped regulate my nervous system And I very much appreciated. Franz and the way he helped guide beginners. What I did not appreciate was a woman who was also a beginner and craved support on an almost competitive level. She was very much attended to and a bit of a trauma dumper. I left for a while because of her, she just kept showing up in my space, but that was my choice to leave. Fast forward to the pandemic I did try to rejoin online and I was met with that same woman who I did try to extend an Olive branch to, since she was struggling and kept "showing up". She was the same trauma dumper, yet didn't remember me. But something that came to light is that I was not allowed to join the book group that she had created. As I got better, I thought about going back in spite of this woman, but then I saw that she is part of faculty Ultimately I decided that a group that would support someone with that behavior, in the way that they did is not the right group for me. I probably should have and I thought about contacting leaders in this group, but at that time, my nervous system was not in a place to defend myself and it's somehow felt small and petty. Better to let her have her way. However, six years later, I see that this is not the Buddhist way, which is the way they follow. I was not shown loving kindness in a time when I really needed it.

I have been attending classes at Long Beach Meditation for years. The teachers are all wonderful,…read morekind, and knowledgeable. Most programs are donation based but they also offer fee-based retreats where you can apply for a scholarship. The facilities are clean and inviting. They serve cold and hot water for tea. You don't need to bring any sitting gear (though you can) as they provide cushions, benches, and chairs. LBM also offers classes online which is super convenient! The community is so welcoming. If you're looking to learn how to meditate or you already have a practice but you want to sit with other people, try one of their classes. I can't recommend this place enough. It has changed my life!
