Not sure how updated their inventory is as we were looking for Mama Mango or Mama Pomegranate & the store associate looked it up but said it wasn't in stock. She left & I was in the Moscato section & found the Mama Mango so we snagged a bottle. I had ordered a bottle of Ube Creme Liqueur as my friend texted that it was available so I ordered online for store pickup since I was in the area. I looked at the yummy Sauternes, a lot of which were rated 91+ pts! We have about 3 bottles at home so I just took note. I looked at the other liqueurs like Pistachios, Passion Fruit and the other fruity Moscatos I'd like to try someday. They even had Kosher wines & we were reading some of the labels which had Biblical names & titled. I'm usually buying some Caliveda Pinot Noir which is one of their best sellers. I stock up during the holidays when they have bundle deals. They have such an organized store and even have a Cigar area. They hold tasting classes in the back & upcoming ones will be for wine. We missed the Tequila tasting so we'll check another location. They have great deals as rewards members so sign up!

Awesome customer service. For that one dude. But it was poor customer service for the rest of us in line, who have been to stores before and were courteous enough to arrive at the checkout counter with ALL the merchandise we intended to purchase already. About three minutes into a game I like to call "8,000 bottles of wine - 1 impressively inefficient cashier on duty", I decided it would be best if I try to frequent businesses who are financially solvent enough to staff two or more cashiers during peak hours. So I saved time at checkout by...driving elsewhere and purchasing my goods. I'm hoping, but not overly confident, that by the time you read this review the lager situation is resolved.

If you are staying in either the San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk or San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter hotels - the shop is kind of right in between the two on the waterway. Neither the Yelp map or Google maps look they are currently correctly depicting the location of the business on the map. The current Yelp address for this business is incorrect. The correct address (according to the register receipt is): 801 East Riverwalk San Antonio, TX 78205 I've submitted a correction to Yelp HQ. Anyhoo (yes I used the phrase "Anyhoo") onto the review. The place sells beer, wine, soda, bottled water, snacks, cigars, and all sorts of tourist trinkets. We picked up some cold beer and cigars here and went and sat down on the Riverwalk one evening, smoked our cigars, drank our beer, and laughed, talked, and argued for several hours. The shop owner will offer you the use of either his bullet punch or guillotine to prep the end of the cigar (if you ask) before you leave. You can get paper matches to take with you to light your cigar (he had no wooden matches). You are also allowed to drink your alcoholic beverages right along the Riverwalk. Or so the shop owner told me as he was trying to get me to buy some beer to go with my cigar. I did buy some, he opened it for me - I walked out, walked up to this lady police officer standing a doorway down - and asked if it was legal for me to carry an open alcoholic beverage. She laughed and told me "yes" - just don't venture up onto the street with it. Cool! So - a great little shop to pick up cold alcoholic beverages, snacks, and cigars!

I had never heard of Sodamingo but I'm a fan now. I love our offerings of "make your own drink"…read moreplaces in town that specialize in coffee and tea. What a genius idea to do the same with soda and lemonade. I appreciate that they offer both regular and diet/sugar-free offerings of sodas and mix-ins. There is no end to the concoctions you can make. I had a Sprite Zero with sugar-free Coconut, Pineapple, and Cherry mix ins. It tasted just like a Pina Colada. My husband had the "Cowboy" which was Barq's Root Beer with caramel, marshmallow, and cream. Oh my! Sodamingo also carries some noshy foods. I couldn't resist trying their "famous" jalapeño popcorn. Holy cow, this was amazing. The popcorn was fresh with a slight kick but not real spicy. It also included slices of fried jalapeños that melt in your mouth. It was packaged in-house and comes with a twist tie so you can savor it overtime, but it's hard to not eat the whole bag. I'll continue to go back as much for that popcorn as the soda they're known for. The staff was friendly and helpful, ready to please their patrons. Everything was clean with bright, inviting decor. There seems to be two locations in town and I really hope they'll expand to the Helotes area. I think they'd have a great following there.
