San Antonio Elote Tradicional Elote Tostitos Preparados
    Karina E.

My boyfriend and I came by yesterday and immediately saw how busy it was! We were surprised and it was a good sign for us! We ordered the Elote Tradicional and the San Antonio Elote. Both were really really good! The portions are great for the prices. I ordered an Agua de Limon as well, the menu inside the store gave small medium and large sizes but the lady helping me said they only had medium and large so it was kind of weird that the menu does not reflect what they have. Overall great place, loved the aesthetic of the place and would recommend highly! They have elite flights and agua fresca flights at a reasonable price and I think that's very unique and cool too! We will most likely try that next time. If I could give half stars I would give a 4.5 to this place. We will come again most likely.

Star was really nice. Loved the food but the cream was overwhelming. Still would recommend

The perfect snack: a cup of corn-in-a-cup with toppings. Check out this menu and the cuteness of this storefront. It took me longer to decide what to order than it did to receive my order.

Elotitos is the BEST place in SA to get your corn cup!!! I got the El Jefe and it was so good! You can't go wrong with flaming hot Cheetos!! I paired it with a Pina Colada Aguas Frescas and it was "chef's kiss!!"

Large El flamin hot and cherry lemonade

The food was amazing , I ate it so fast . I also got the cherry lemonade and I love how there is actually cherries in there and it's not just one or two , it's multiple! The service was just friendly I love how nice they were . The atmosphere was nice and settled with a little background music which I love as well ! One suggestion which I'm not sure if they do have that option but I would love extra Lime in my corn and it would be beyond perfect . This is now my favorite corn spot

I got the traditional it was good. The service was good. They were busy on a Sunday afternoon. The inside of the place was nice.. wouldn't mind trying a different corn in the cup.

This snack shop is so yummy they have a ton of different elote options and shave ice if you're in the mood for a sweet treat. When we went it was pretty busy but it was still quick. The fresa was so good and I definitely recommend trying it !

Took my friends that were visiting here. My daughter and I grabbed the traditional Elote Cups and they tried the other flavors. We love elotes so we loved it! Service was great and place was nice. Will be going back to try other things on their menu.

We came here as I absolutely love corn, place was pretty busy yet they provided fast/good service. I decided to try the flyers- 5 flavors: San Antonio, old fashion, traditional, cheesy...all were really tasty. My fav was San Antonio and cheesy. I also had the strawberry and crema, although I was expecting the actual strawberries vs ice cream- it was very tasty. I totally recommend this place and their yummy food.

    Finally! Elote!

I have been wanting to come and try this place for awhile now. Today, I finally got the opportunity. Upon walking in the space seems small with no real decor highlighting their business. It has a cafeteria feel to it. We were greeted by staff and they were super friendly. The young lady was patient with us while we looked over their menu. I went with the hot Cheetos elote (L) and my husband ordered the traditional (L). I wanted to order the flight but they said it would be about an 18 minute wait. We didn't want to wait that long. The space itself seems okay. I don't like the location for the simple fact of parking. Parking is tough to find. Unless you park in the neighborhood street. It's at an intersection of Fredricksburg road and Furr Dr. There is a lot the the side of the building but even that was full. While we waited the seats didn't give me much confidence that they would hold up to hold anyone passed 30 pounds. They did but I was concerned. Lol I felt they were flimsy. While we waited we saw customers coming in and going with delicious treats. The product: So presentation was on point. Everything looked good and was very eye catching. I was excited to dig into my elote. I was a little disappointed that the corn itself was warm at best. I feel like when you eat corn it should be hot. The favor combination was amazing. I did gobble mines up despite the corn not being to temperature. My husband absolutely loved his. He stated it was the best corn he ever had. I would agree to come back when in the area. Overall, great taste.

Quick notes: -Pricing was a little different online. -Did the phone number account for 10% off Went here on a Saturday. It looked like only 1 guy was working the cash register and making everything. There were 4 parties in front of us when we got there. Took about 30 minutes total to order and get our items. Deco is discontinued. Got 2 flights with all the other flavors Won't get again: Old fashioned Chipotle The Beni Liked: Traditional El vegano Jalapeño Loved: San Antonio Crunchy cheese Jalapeño 2.0 Hot Cheeto We will be back. We really didn't need 10 for the 4 of us lol.

This place is great! The ambiance is very chill since it is a local owned mom and pop type shop. The service is good they speak both English and Spanish. The food is always coming out quick and it's good, only thing is one time I had went it was warm not hot, but I can't complain too much about that. Overall cheap food prices and great selection, I'd try it if I were y'all!

Empty San Antonio and Paloma cups. On to dessert!!!
    Erica N.

The Paloma corn cup and San Antonio corn cup were a hit! Perfectly seasoned and my husband was in a trance! He was taken back to his childhood through this experience! I heard his stories of the elite cart at Joske's on Gen. McMullen. Ambiance is modest but cute and clean. Service was friendly and pleasant. Pro tip...a small is a generous small with these rich flavors!

So on Sunday we headed out and found that the place was turned into a bed & breakfast. We drove by and noticed Urban Herbal. What we didn't know was that the owner (William Varney) sold the herb farm back in 2007 but had some land adjacent to it and opened up Urban Herbal in 2010. I know that mid-February is not the time to visit if you want to see the garden in it's full glory, however the gift shop & labyrinth makes it worth the trip. We parked in the private lot and headed towards the garden where we were warmly greeted by William. He escorted us to his gift shop and I was so amazed at the variety of products he created to stock the shelves in this little store. From infused oils, herbal soaps, bath vinegars, bath salts/scrubs & lotions for the body, pet care to herbs for the grill, vinegars & seasonings for the palate, the offerings were mind boggling. William's knowledge was impressive to say the least and we were very happy that we got to spend some time talking with him personally, picking his brain. I ended up purchasing some incense, detoxifying body oil (juniper, geranium & grapefruit), lavendar/mint home fragrance, eucalyptus home fragrance, Herbs de Povence, lavendar/champagne vinegar & balsamic coffee/fig vinegar. After our purchases, William escorted us to the back garden. It was really wonderful to let my mind wander & meditate while I walked the labyrinth. William mentioned that he will begin workshops this spring. I am fuzzy on the details but he did mention that they will be posted on his website soon. I am truly happy that I was able to meet William. He is such a delight and has a wonderful, positive energy. I left Urban Herbal feeling refreshed & content. Definitely worth a return trip!

Usually Wagyu is known to be juicy and moist, but this tasted nothing like that caliber. It was disappointing but at least not very pricy. Fries were okay but pretty chopped up and not the style I prefer. Some of the other places looked promising like the ice cream and cafe. The poke/ceviche also sounded good on paper but when we walked by (maybe around 1.5-2 hours before closing), the quality of the raw fish didn't look too great and was a little discolored so we passed. The store itself was very cute and had lots of nice and unique products.

Right from the beginning of our reception planning with PBC, Britany asked all the pertinent questions and did all of the food coordination to perfection. From our initial food tastings, right down to working directly with our venue (The Rio Plaza), to maintain our desired timeline, we knew we were in good hands. Our final planning meeting to establish the day and evening's events, was exactly how it was executed. Superb! The food at the reception was accurate to the food at our tastings, and we expected it to be that way... excellent! We had more positive compliments about our food than anything. No one walked away from our wedding hungry, and everyone was more than satisfied. They supplied kids meals for the children, and sub sandwich snack packs for our vendors. Britany was thinking of everyone that was participating in our day, and making sure they were covered. The care PBC took with sanitation and COVID protection is to be commended. We asked for the salad to be served "sit down style" and then the buffet to be served to our guests, rather than a self service buffet. All of this was accomplished with servers masked and COVID protocols followed, it was just to our asking. It was a relief. I have worked with many catering companies over the years, and hands down, would gladly use again, and recommend Page Barteau Catering and staff for any event. Britany is straightforward to work with, and planning is her thing, I expected it all to go off without a hitch and it did. Bravo, PBC!! Bravo!
