After following all of the fun stuff on instagram for a few years we finally got to come here! We went for a family day at golf 'n stuff and realized we were only 2 miles away! All of our food was insanely good. We were all in a food coma when we left and had to go home and nap lol. The fire burger was awesome though very rich, I think I would add pickles and onions to this to help cut all of the heaviness of the cheese and sauce and to just add those flavors would be great. The calamari fries and sauce were excellent. The brussels with bacon and walnuts were hard to stop eating, I might ask for a little less sauce next time too. There will def be a next time, I want to try that tomahawk one day and they have a tasty looking brunch menu too! Even my daughter's chicken strips were delicious pounded out chicken pieces with a wonderful coating. Really wished I would have read some of these comments before going. Was sorely disappointed. Upon arrival hostess was not very welcoming. Wasn't busy at all at the time we arrived for our reservation. Server took long to great our table, mediocre drinks took longer. Ordered a specialty drink and was super sour as if the lemon had been squeezed hours ago. Orders a sushi app. Was mid. Then dinner came. Their only saving grace was the steak which was good. Mac and cheese tasted like it came from. A box. Bill came out to $300 with their added tip for 2 people! We usually always leave a 20-25% tip bc I work in service industry also, I know what it's like. We got charged 18% and normally would not have an issue at all but it wasn't stated on their menu and I don't think the service was worth 18%. One of my favorite places to eat in Downey. I drive from Anaheim to eat here because it has one of the best tomahawk steaks along with my favorite side. The Mac n cheese with maple bacon is super good. I mean crazy good. It's one of my favorite things. We had this flight that I didn't enjoy. I don't like hard liquor and waiter had told us they were softer hard spirits. However, it's not a deal breaker and definitely will come back for this specific meal in the future. read more

First off, seating is a make-shift area that used to be parking but made for dining and the ambience was great granted it was chilly when it got later and they didn't have too much of the heat lamps but just make sure you bring that jacket if you're coming for dinner. There's definitely ample street parking, however, I can definitely can see this area getting busy and packed. There is a parking structure nearby but it is being used by Porto's so just make sure you get to your reservation on time. When it came to the food, we ordered the Tomahawk steak. Yes, it is $100+ but I wanted to try it for the first time. We got it medium/medium rare and it was juicy and the right texture. I am a sauce guy so I was sad to know they didn't have or make their own house steak sauce. The only thing they had was Worcestershire sauce which is not my cup of tea lol! Also, if you're coming here to try the "hot Cheetos" burger, it ain't there anymore. It's off the menu now and there was no really explanation on why it came off. The appetizers we ordered were pretty good though; we had the poutine fries, some chicharrons, edamame, wings, and there was another dish but all in all they were great. Had a great dinner here with the spouse celebrating a profitable business weekend. Parking was easy to find on a Sunday evening and is free. Got seated immediately, and were helped by great servers who checked in frequently. We split the tomahawk steak cooked rare, I would highly recommend if you want to treat yourself!! It was delicious and plenty for two people. Spouse also had the lobster and I had the shrimp, both great and flavorful. We also had a side of sweet potato fries which were extra delicious because they make the best creamy ranch in house. My girlfriend have been dying to try this by place, well it's secretly me because I wanted to try the tomahawk steak. We were able to grab an 8:30 pm reservation on a Friday night. Just a heads up, they close at 10 sharp and have a 2 hour max time limit. Once we got there we were seated fairly quickly. We were brought some waters and ordered a couple of drinks + an appetizer. The calimari fries were delicious and the sauce it comes with seriously makes the dish. As for the drinks, they were on the small side, but were tasty. My favorite one was their Mule. It was just the right balance of flavor and alcohol. Each drink is about $14 a pop. Now to the main courses, I obviously got the 40z tomahawk steak, which will set you back $145. It's a steep price, but WELL worth it. I got it medium rare (I'm normal) and it was cooked to perfection. I enjoyed every single bite and was kind of sad when I was done with it. I paired it with a side of garlic mashed potatoes, which were light and not too heavy. My girlfriend got the steak Sandro + fries (that will cost you about $35) and she loved it. Looked like it was smothered in sauce that she said was amazing. The service was great and the food was even better. We made a reservation and were seated after they were cleaning up the table. It was a bit too dark and loud. It had more of a bar feel with the sports fans cheering. Our server did his best to take our order, the food we wanted was limited and we were able to get the last order of meatballs. I ordered an old fashion and it was good, just wish I could have had a smaller ice cube, it made my nose cold when sipping. My husband and I ordered their kale salad, one with chicken and another with salmon. The chicken was well cooked and seasoned but, no salt. The salmon was over cooked, same with the seasoning being present but no salt. We both were disappointed with the salad dressing being too sweet and salty. Our son devoured the meatballs and loved dipping the bread in the red sauce and fresh ricotta cheese. He also LOVED the Mac-n-cheese with candied bacon. We also ordered the side of fried brussels sprouts with candied bacon, the balsamic reduction was too sweet. The New York strip our friend order was cooked perfectly WITH guidance from our server, he explained that it would be served on a hot skillet and to go under our usual preference. My friend wanted medium rare so, we asked them to cook it rare. It arrive and stayed a perfect medium rare. Hands down amazing place. This is the second time I've visited and have not been disappointed. We made reservations through Yelp and everything checked out when we arrived. The service was a little slow to start, but once it did it was great. The only thing I didn't like was that our table was approached by staff and we were told everyone had to be out at in 10 minutes. I normally wouldn't have a gripe with this, however if that's the case, don't allow reservations to be made so late (we had a 9pm reservation). The food was phenomenal. We ordered the bone in rib-eye, calamari fries, sweet potato fries, garlic potato mash, and a side of asparagus. Everything tasted amazing and the ribeyes were cooked to perfection. Always wanted to check this place out and of course I had to try the Tomahawk and their old fashioned. First time trying an aged Tomahawk (medium rare) and it defeated me only was able to finish half of it. It was good but it does not come close to an A5 Japanese wagyu stake in my opinion. Old fashioned was amazing and service was great. Burger was probably my fav and I can see that they have a unique flavor with their menu names and unique burger creations. He loves MEAT and after seeing their viral TomaHawk photos on social media I thought I would pay a visit, however- they fumbled my visit. I would not reccomend. We ordered it medium and it came out black and blue (Raw). We couldn't cut the steak becuase it was still so tough. They brought it out sizzling, so I don't even think the steak was allowed to rest. So we waited for it to rest a few minutes. We told our server, and they went to go throw it back on the grill. It was just very tacky. To have a steak go out, get cut and they brought it back out after throwing it back on the grill. The birthday boy was hungry, and not really satisfied with his food. It honestly ruined our entire experience. It ruined the birthday dinner. I whole heartedly believe we would have been better off with my original thought. Going to another restaraunt. I would never come back. Spent over $500 here and the experience was a total bummer. If you're coming to celebrate a special event- just go elsewhere.
