Food was good, Inquired about Budweiser beer products and waiter stated that they do not carry Bud products because of some dispute with Budweiser many years ago by a former business that was at the same location. The waiter then went over the beer list and they had Corona which is owned by the same company that owns Budweiser.....nice story but not factual on why they do nor carry Budweiser beer products. read more

Lockview has a great, chill environment. They have fantastic sweet potato fires and grilled cheese, and the food prices are really reasonable. My only complaint is their beer is rather pricy for the hipster cliental, although they have a fantastic beer selection. read more

This was my first time here, although several people in my party were apparently Lockview veterans. TIP!: The grilled cheeses (~$7), although tasty, are somewhat lacking in content. I found this out the hard way. Go with a real sandwich (~$8) and you'll be quite happy. That's what the vets did... :( The atmosphere was somewhat trendy. Our waitress was super awesome. Went there with my boyfriend a couple years ago before we tried to go ice skating at Lock 3. The night we attempted to go the place was crowd, as usual. We stood crowded by the door for a long period of time before we were seated. We were placed at a small table in the middle of the room obviously in the middle of the walkway. After waiting for another long period of time for our drinking order to be taken and being ignored by the wait staff who was being forced to walk uncomfortably close to our table because of our seating location, yet our order has yet to be taken, we decided to call it a night, after about 45 minutes of being ignored. I'd rather have fries with my grilled cheese, especially if I'm coming here for dinner. All my friends love this place. I just really do not like it. I understand maybe they are going for an indie, hipster feel. But it just feels gross. The staff look gross, the food is greasy, the music is way too loud. They have started offering more creative cocktails though, which I do enjoy. Maybe just a quick drink at the bar before heading somewhere else is a better idea than sitting down to eat. read more

They were battered and fried (and I normally don't care for fried stuff) just right, to create a golden-brown crispy outer layer with a gooey inside, and served with a Sriracha/ketchup dipping sauce. They were pretty heavy though. This place is known for their grilled cheese sandwiches so I ordered The Number Four (Mozzarella, Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto, Arugula and a Sprinkle of Parmesan Cheese Served on Italian Bread) based on our server's recommendation. Our food came out in a short period of time, but I didn't like my sandwich too much. It was salty and pretty greasy. My friend thought hers was good, but not great. Our server was nice but did not check in enough, or keep our drinks topped off. We actually searched for her when we needed refills. Overall, an ok experience. I would not go back. read more

This place is great for a relaxed atmosphere and a little something for everyone. They have a wide beer menu which my group throughly enjoyed. I got a lemonade to drink. It wasn't anything special. It almost seemed watered down. We all got grilled cheese with tots. Everyone enjoyed their food and it was very filling. I thought the bread was perfect. I got a special grilled cheese with lobster. After having been to Maine recently, it's hard to please me with lobster. However, the other members of my group who got it really liked it. I also wish my tots were hot, which they were not. This place tries to be unique by promoting their grilled cheese sandwiches, but I wasn't impressed. Nearly 3/4 of the main menu is grilled cheese sandwiches so if you are looking to order anything other than grilled cheese sandwiches, you're probably out of luck. I got the Black Forest ham (not grilled cheese) and still wasn't that impressed. With all their grilled cheese sandwiches, goldfish are included. I see why they do it because it is unique but it kind of just came off as a cheap side dish. Also there isn't much seating here so if you go at any hours between 12-2 and 5 on expect a long wait if you want seating. read more

Tyler, Corey, and Kevin were awesome! Such great service and we all had a blast! Their beer knowledge and service was outstanding. I sat on the rooftop patio with my girlfriend and we had some amazing crafted cocktails off of their specialty menu. The food was to die for! I had the #6 grilled cheese with sweet potato fries, and I'll tell you what, the moment of bliss on my lips is well worth the time on my hips!! Went with a group of 6 traveling for work. 6 of 6 left disappointed and expectations were high based on the reviews. In fact, it reduced my faith in Yelp!Maybe it was an off night, but it is our only data point. Cold soggy grilled cheese sandwiches, skimpy on cheese, very basic entre' salads, cold fries, and tomato soup with a disturbing flavor. The group did like the fried pepperoni appetizer but otherwise were not pleased. One in our party was even sick later in the evening. A day later, the roof of my mouth is still all cut up from the hard thick bread. They did correct cold soggy fries when it was brought to their attention but everyone decided they didn't want the hassle of complaining about the sandwiches and waiting for new ones. It's great food and a ton of hipsters bringing straight to your table, only because it's that cool thing to do though, not becuase the man is keeping these servers oppressed. It's hard not to eat at the Lockview every week. It was one of the first places we tried when we moved here and we've never had a bad experience since. Whenever we get visitors, this is one of the places we *must* take them. The grilled cheese is awesome, but don't overlook the panko chicken sandwich. The quality and selection is second to none. Staff is friendly, competent, knowledgeable and quick. Sandwiches are unique and delicious. Sat at the bar for dinner and drinks later on a Monday night. It was pretty empty and we were the only ones at the bar for awhile. Was recommended to us for the beer list and the grilled cheese. Had the mac and cheese bites (sooooo good), #5 (not bad, would have preferred more goat cheese and less swiss, the swiss was too dominant of a flavor), and #6 (tasty, needs more apple), and a couple beers. Bartender was pretty neglectful given the lack of customers at the time we were there. Food was good but the lack of service left us annoyed. read more

They were very knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. The roofing crew came when they said they would. They were very professional and efficient. Absolutely my favoritest place to go get grilled cheese! Yes you reas that right grilled cheese!!! Many different options to chose from pertaining to the grilled cheese, and I have yet to have one that I didn't love! And all of the sandwiches come with goldfish!!! They also have an amazing selection of beers that us constantly rotating and bringing in new different beers. Visited this place a few weeks ago and tried a few of the beers they have on their HUGE beer menu. The waitress was very nice and the restaurant seemed very clean. It was a little dark inside but not a huge deal. The beer was excellent. My first was a draft and was nice and cold, and poured correctly. The next was a bottle and again, it was very cold and the waitress checked multiple times to see if I would like another. Would definitely like to come back and try the food out, as I only had drinks this time around (which is mainly why I'm rating it a 4/5, since I've only tried the drinks). read more
