A restaurant with great class and a comfortable atmosphere! The staff provided excellent service, were knowledgeable about the offerings and made the experience enjoyable! I got the Caprese Canoe as my starter, the Chesapeake Pasta for my entree, an unsweetened blueberry iced tea (which has whole fresh blueberries in it for a nice addition!) and the Decadent Chocolate Cake as my dessert! The Lodge recently opened in our area where the Green Turtle used to be. I had seen the online menu and it looked very good and I wanted to try it. We went on a Sunday evening around 6. It was moderately crowded. The atmosphere was fitting to the name with pictures of animals on the walls, lots of wood, and soft lighting. Our server Cierra was very friendly and she took great care of us. The bar manager, Richard, stopped by to see how things were going and chatted with us briefly. It was a nice experience. I ordered the Brick Chicken and my husband got the shrimp & scallop risotto. Both were delicious and we had leftovers which I always appreciate. Tried Lodge for second time today. Picked up. Ordered Beef Stew. Young lady who took my phone order very professional and polite and got my order spot on. Unfortunately the kitchen didn't.....they gave me a to go container with what looked like brown soup.........lots of it..........virtually no carrots or onions.........well maybe one 1/4" carrot piece! After I threw out half the gravy it was edible (as opposed to drinkable). Meat very tender and tasty but soup/gravy salty, consistency too thin and volume far too much which is a pity because potential for taste was very much there! The food was decent. The first drinks my husband and I ordered were not too good at all. But the Bar Manager, Richard came over immediately and corrected that. He asked me what type of drinks I normally like. Richard gave me several suggestions. I picked the Berry Merry (Sangria with Merlot) It was delicious!!!!! Happy hour is a must for anyone who loves cocktails and craft pizzas. Our drinks were great but the real stars of our visit were the Short Rib and Spicy Italian pizzas. Both pizzas were bursting with flavor and is plenty for 2 people. You can get them for half off at the bar during happy hour so it's like a BOGO, which is why we got 2 to try. So glad we did and we've added this to our weekly rotation of happy hour places. read more

We had a great meal at The Lodge Pasadena- it was our first time visiting. Our server Brian H at the bar was fantastic- he had very nice suggestions on food and drinks and a great sense of humor. Attractive ambiance, decent service (though inattentive to the water) and good food. I had the prime rib which was delicious (and enough for a second meal at home.) Don't waste your time or money. The service was terrible. We spent 45 minutes more than we should of. Excessive 30 minute wait for check and at least 15 minutes to order. Prime rib was so tough that it was hard to cut with a steak knife, let alone chew for $45. read more

Mother's Day brunch was delicious. Our server, Dillon was great and very attentive. The lodge as decorated beautifully but we have a suggestion, the omelet station needs to be separate from the other food, while it moved quick it still was a bottle neck for the other food. So, my son, had told us about this place, and how nice it was. He said we need to go check it out. So, my wife and I thought ...ok let's go. We needed a well-deserved night out. When we arrived, the Hostess sat us back in a corner which was nice and quiet and not busy at all. It took a while for a waitress to stop by our table, and once she did... she forgot about us. Minutes later she stopped back and asked us if we were ready for a second round... I explained that we never received our first round of drinks! She apologized. And we were ready to order dinner. When dinner finally arrived way later, so did a finance company of some sort, who set up shop next to us. I thought this was odd and rude but wasn't sure what was going on. A few minutes later there was a line of people around our table waiting to get into their meeting room, which apparently was next to us, I though WTF. REALLY.??? I did see a manger walk our way in hopes to move us... Instead, she walked over to the group and explained she was glad they were there! I guess she couldn't see us for the line of people that were blocking us from her view. REALLY! No one said anything to us, I will never eat at this place on a Thursday or better yet NEVER ... Made reservations, got there ad they ran out of oysters and pig, then they tried to give us pulled pork when they ran out of roasted pig! This should never happen in this restuarant, I cannot believe Titan Hospitality will put up with this. It will be a long time before I go back to The Lodge. These are the issues that cause people to think twice before going back. A first time visit celebrating my wife's birthday, we were very impressed with the atmosphere and blown away by the food. Our party of 4 didn't have an entree that wasn't exceptional. Our server, Torrie was professional, knowledgeable, but more important she was personab and pleasant. She made us feel welcome. And the entire experience was under $300. Fantastic experience. Wait staff was excellent (Thank you Comfy!) Food excellent (we had snake bite pasta and shrimp risotto) . Atmosphere excellent (loved the fire pits outside!). Restaurant is beautifully decorated, you would of never known that it was previously a Grreen Turtle. Brunch was really good, from chicken and waffles to a carving station, omelette station, shrimp and cheddar grits , bacon, sausage, home fries to pastries and desserts! I would recommend visiting and supporting local farm to table restaurant in the Pasadena area! Also our server/bartender Comfy was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable! I really wanted this place to be successfully, but after two visits I won't be back. So many other options in the area that have better service and value. I was expecting a better ambiance, but honestly the layout still looks like the Green Turtle. Food was just ok. The best thing we got both time was the canoe boat appetizer. The service on our second visit was really bad. Wasn't busy at all. The waitress would disappear for 10 to 15 minutes. We had to remind her twice to bring my husband's beer and never did get it. She finally brought us the check and disappeared for another 10 minutes. Luckily the restaurant has a scan option to pay. We never did see her again.
