Charges coming. Apparently baking and alcoholic beverages will be offered. .

I've had consistently good coffee at The Loft and it's a pleasant place to visit. There is ample seating. There are new owners who have added baking and have applied for a liquor license.

Meandering through downtown Everett, past their Sunday farmers market, where I decided to grab a 16oz mocha at another indie, The Loft Coffee Bar (3/17/24). Beans are from Fidalgo Bay, some menu items are available from the pastry and refrigerated cases. Ample seating available by the entrance, high tops, counter, and a few tables onsite. Some natural light streaming in from the front windows onto the wood flooring. Nice spot where one can have a convo, get stuff done via laptop, enjoy a selection of board games, or just chill with the overhead music. Note: No coffee art provided, no crema - just steamed milk, and a 35 cent "non cash convenience fee" (see Yelp tip) added to the subtotal, tax, and my 20% tip. Pretty pricey for a standard mocha. Just saying. Nice to stop in with angle street parking out front. View of the Olympics looking westward and proximate to a few antique shops.

Stopped by on a Sunday morning at 9am and it was quiet. Service was friendly and quick and there was a lot of seating in store. I ordered a couple of decaf caramel macchiatos for me and my husband and they were DELICIOUS. I'm still thinking about that drink now.

    Inside

Very cute spot, dark, woodsy, plants vibe. Coffee is reasonably priced, but a small selection of pastries. Don't know if that's the usual or I just came in at a busy time. Unfortunately it closes at 3pm but otherwise a nice spot

Friendly baristas and a great selection. Try the mushroom latte!

I had a cranberry orange scone that was really good. There is some seating with tables. Some stuffed chairs and some hard chairs. There wasn't a lot available on a Sunday afternoon as it was pretty busy. There are books throughout and an area with books. There is a shop area attached to the cafe part. They have lots of unique gifts. And there is a little table for kids to sit and color at. They had crayons and coloring pages. It was super cute! The parking is all street parking. It's near the arena, so if there is an event there parking can be hard to find. I actually tried twice before to visit on a Sunday and couldn't find anywhere to park because there was an event. I think trying to go on a week day might make parking easier.

I had to use the restroom while there and while the handicap restroom is very spacious there were multiple mini flies circling the trash and thus the sink (so washing your hands was gross because of flies circling your head). I also noticed a few flies towards the seating at the middle/back of the store too. The flies kind of gave me the ick, I was wishing for some measures that showed they were trying to take care of their fly problem, but didn't see any. This is a fixable problem. 3 stars for the flies, 4 stars for the overall vibe.

There were a couple of people ahead of me in line but service was quick. Lots of savory and sweet pastries to choose from - the massive cinnamon roll caught my eye, and I couldn't resist not getting it, also got the twice baked almond croissant and a kouign amann. I ate the kouign amann soon as I got into my car - it was the perfect amount of sweetness and flakiness, albeit a bit small in size despite being around the same price point as the croissant and cinnamon roll. Unfortunately was not a big fan of the cinnamon roll. Though the roll itself was pillowy soft upon reheating it in the microwave a bit, it lacked the amount of cinnamon that you would expect, and the frosting on top tasted like cake frosting with it almond extract in it and was far too sweet. I had to scrape most of it off. Almond croissant was also just okay - filling was on the sweeter side and croissant itself just didn't taste very fresh.
