Have never had a bad experience here. Tom is always super friendly and always more than accommodating to my odd requests. Food is always hot and fresh no matter when we order or what we order. The owner has lost his passion an has therefore lost us as customers there should NEVER BE A FLY STRIP hanging over our heads during service. there is something really wring when the orange juice tastes like metal that means it has to be cleaned BADLY!! the local folk like him but I betcha if there were another breakfast place in town, he would be forced to close down. I was just by myself looking for a nice breakfast and walked into the Longbranch in Raymond. I asked if I could sit at a booth which was set up for two people and told the boss would make me move. I asked if my only choice was to sit at the breakfast bar and the waitress told me I had to sit at a two person table. I pointed to the booth I had originally asked about and said this is set up for two people which is why I am asking. This made absolutely no sense. I had eaten there before and the food was good, but why hassle me about sitting at a two person booth, tell me I have to sit instead at a two person table? I was dressed just like everyone else in the place, and see no probable reason why this had to be any kind of hassle I will be taking my business elsewhere and also suggesting to all my Raymond friends to also take their business elsewhere. I had breakfast here recently. The restaurant is a bit shabby and could really use some improvements with decor. Our server was friendly. This place is very kid friendly. The food is just average. I had an eggs, home fries and toast breakfast. My son had a pancake and my mom and sister both had a veggie omelet. My husband & myself's 1st & definitely last time at Long Branch Restaurant in Raymond N.H. The restaurant smelled like mold so much The inside looked so outdated & not in a good way it looked like it hadn't been touched since they started. The owner came out & yelled at our waitress who was trying her very best to keep up because they must of been short staffed this Sunday morning. Their coffee cups are black stained on the inside i could not drink out of them. Plus they never come around for refills. Our OJ tasted good & was cold. Our omelettes were full, but absolutely inedible. We each took 1 bite & that's all we could stomach. The sausage & bacon was great though. My toast was barely toasted. The restaurant was full on this morning that's why we stayed, but they must of been leaf peepers & also didn't know what they were in for. I was disgusted & disappointed for this whole past week since going there with myself for making the decision to stay & eat there when my gut was telling me to run. read more

Stopped here for breakfast on our way to Pawtuckaway state park. The service was friendly and fast but the food quality was really poor. Everything was out of a package, can etc. Worst part of the whole experience was listening to the owner yell at one of the waitresses. Not only was he loud, obnoxious and nasty but he was wrong! She was doing the best she could to help her customers sit down and he's shouting at her from behind the grill. Ruined the whole experience. read more

Stopped here for lunch after biking on the Rockingham rail trail. The food was good. Large portions. Service was not great. Took the waitress about 5 minutes to acknowledge us and take our drink order then at least 15 minutes to come back for our food order. We have heard breakfast is good here so we will give it another try. read more

We always prefer to seek out local restaurants instead of chains. This one is almost hidden in "downtown" Raymond, and you may be tempted to just driveby. Don't be fooled however. We've been twice on a Saturday morning for breakfast, always very busy, but big enough that a table comes soon. Omlettes are nicely done, lots of filling ingredients, pancakes have some character, and the blueberry ones have lots of fruit. Homefries awarded "Excellent" by my wife, her favorite. Coffee seems irregular. One cup tasted exceptionally good, the refill just OK. Other specials were tempting, but I stick to basics mostly for breakfast. Very good service. Prices are good. Atmosphere and appeal are "Hometown Casual" with just the right amount of country kitsch decor. We'll go again. read more

Just finished camping at Pawtuckaway and my boyfriend and I needed a place for breakfast on our drive home. It's inly 2 miles away from the camp grounds and the food was delicious! The service was great, friendly staff and food was delivered quickly. Will definitely go there again after camping. read more

i had breakfast at the long branch restaurant yesterday morning and i can still savour my meal. the service was prompt and polite... but not pushy. it took me quite a while to decide what i wanted to order, there is a lot to choose from. while waiting for my food there was a lot of different decorations to look at. the giant bull horns over the entryway were a great conversation piece. when the food did arrive i was almost overwhelmed. the portions were very generous. i left with some and i usually clean my plate. and to round it all out, the price sealed the deal... im going back to the long branch restaurant for my next breakfast out. read more

My best friend and I were looking for something inexpensive and close by to do. Eventually we decided to go to Long Branch. I had never been before and it had been years since her last visit. They are a little place who specializes in breakfast food, which ordinarily we both love. When we opened the door to the restaurant we had an immediate sinking feeling. Everyone in the restaurant -which was mildly busy, but maybe it was just it's small size being deceiving- started at us as we awkwardly seated ourselves since there was no hostess to be seen. Upon sitting down our eyes were drawn to the decor. There was clutter all over the walls that had no rhyme or reason, as well as containers on shelves with food in them and no expiration date. However it was comforting that there was no dust to be seen on any of the objects everywhere. This offered little solace when we noticed the state of our table condiments. Our salt shaker had liquid in it causing the salt to clump and brown. The labels on the ketchup and syrup containers were very faded making them look very old, which made us question if they were okay to eat. The chairs appeared to be held together with wire, and we had a plastic table cloth. Over all it seemed sloppy and outdated. The waitstaff was disappointing at best. It took around 15 minutes for a waitress to come over to us to take our order. She was dressed in a pink cotton shirt and sneakers, only to be one upped by another waitress in a sports jersey. Eventually our food was brought to us, however we were never given napkins, forks, spoons, or knives, not to mention our drinks. We only received drinks after asking for them twice. When we eventually got them at the end of our meal my water smelled of the tap, and Cait had oil in her hot chocolate, telling us immediately that the mug had not been washed. After our eating experience we waited patiently for our check for about 15 minutes. Curious, and losing hope in our waitress, I decided to ask her on her next pass around the other tables. When I finally got in an "Excuse me?" I got snapped at by her saying she needed a minute. Once she finally came over to the table she apologized for being a bad waitress because that is not her usual job. It then took additional time for her to find the slip telling her what we ordered so that she could split the check for us. Then she got confused because we had the same type of card, and in the end we are both pretty sure that she still managed to charge us each other's brunches. I had ordered Texas french toast, bacon, and home fries, and Cait had ordered a 3 egg cheese omelet which came with home fries. The fries on both of our plates were over and under cooked, as well as some being well seasoned and others having no seasoning. The completely uneven cutting of the potatoes showed the lack of skill of the prep cook. Cait had made mention that the omelet was the smallest she has ever seen and was disappointed with it. My Texas french toast was soggy in the center making it more like much. All of my food ended up costing me $7 and some change, and Cait paid $8 and change for her smaller order, according to the waitress. In the end it was a huge let down for both of us. read more

I don't know what the other reviewers were smoking before eating here but my advice is stay away. Unless of course you enjoy cheap coffee, SAMs club sausage patties, grilled styrofoam posing as hash browns and margarine on cheap toast. This had to be one of the worst breakfasts my wife and I have had. The waitress was friendly and the service was good but that can't make up for the dismal food. Do yourself a favor and go to McDonalds, you'll get a much better meal. read more
