Shoutout to our local community heroes! This is a cool vibe for meeting up with some of my friends. The staff is really personable, welcoming, and attentive. The menu is fun and everyone was able to find something delicious!! We enjoyed bubbly toasted crust pizza with amazing toppings and stretchy cheese pull!! Wonder crispy Caesar salads! And had our fill of delicious beverages. I sipped on an amazing strawberry milkshake!! So yummmm! I have always loved the loop. Their veggie pizza is one of my favorites, I love their tomato bisque soup. Recently I've been getting the portobello mushroom sandwich with a side of broccoli. This is my second visit, and I have enjoyed both times. They have a constant flow of traffic picking up orders. My burger was just as I ordered it. The fries were thick cut steak fries for my side selection, even though there were different items for the side. I 'm surprised at the size of the restaurant, it has along the front, if you want a more private area the booths along the back gives you that. The piped in music is a nice touch. read more

Honestly I've never been disappointed with the food. My favorite to this day is the spicy chicken sandwich which is not spicy at all but still a 5 star on that sandwich! Today I changed it up and went in for the bbq bacon burger. I'd give that one a 4 star but my friend had the margarita pizza and it was pretty good! Overall 5 stars all around. I came here for dinner with my grandma. Heard a lot of good things about the loop so we decided to give it a try. There was no line when we walked in. The guy that took our order was very friendly and kind! I ordered the special pizza and my grandma got the bacon cheddar burger with onion rings. After our orders we were given a buzzer to let us know when our food is ready. It didn't take long our food which was good. The food came out hot and fresh. My pizza was good and cheesy! I, admittedly, never finish meals (which makes me a very cost-effective date) unless I'm getting a Loop Burger with cheddar and a cup of tomato bisque! Seems to be going downhill. Here during early evening hours. One table of patrons seated--not busy. Restaurant and bathrooms are very dirty. The person taking the order was rude and completely incompetent. Watched her repeatedly drop cups on the floor and then into the dispenser. Gross! Disappointing, as food is always good. The Loop is a pretty well known local chain in Jacksonville. It seems whenever I meet a local restaurant owner they mention having worked at The Loop or been influenced in a positive manner by the ownership. I think that shows how awesome The Loop is. I have been to this particular location twice now, but I wanted to say I think this is a good spot. The first time I came in here was with a group of people I play volleyball with. We managed to sit a good 8-10 people in the tables. Service was fast and friendly and prices are fairly cheap for the quality. The most recent time I came in was to use a gift certificate and I ordered a pepperoni pizza to take home. The pizza was tasty and well made. The restaurant has a good ambiance and tables, plates, and bathrooms are always clean. There is also tons of parking and the restaurant itself is well situated near JTB, 95, and other big roads. read more

Decided to stop in and try this spot as it's close to my house and I wanted pizza. The environment was nice. Customer service was good. The pizza was just ok. It lacked flavored. Waited 25 minutes with literally an empty building of customers. They then came out and said the person making out pizza didn't see the note or no cheese and no dairy on one of our pizza (lactose allergy). We then waited 20 more minutes they give us both pizzas. The Farmers Market fresh and hot, my Greek pizza literally cold because we had to wait another 20 minutes. Their menu had a lot of great options! From salads, to wraps, to burgers, and pizzas! We chose: 8" Barbecue Pizza - a good size for lunch portion, generous with the BBQ sauce, but I didn't mind! Very delicious! 8" Pepperoni Pizza - my friend said she loved it. There was a good amount of pepperoni, some buried in cheese so it's hard to see Onion Rings - perfectly crunchy & came in all sizes, along with a zesty sauce. My friend loved the zesty sauce, I just stuck with the classic ketchup We got our food and ate in under an hour, so it was a great choice for a lunch break. Their pizzas do have a considerable amount of cornmeal on the bottom, which kind of distracted my mouth upon first bite, but I slowly got used to it. The 8" sizes were a nice size for a lunch portion, but I do like to have other things to pick on, so the onion rings were a great choice for a side. Not everyday do I eat pizza with onion rings on the side, so that's a testament to how diverse their menu is! Didn't get to check out the restrooms, but I'm sure with an already clean dining area & a dedicated cleaning/assisting personnel on the floor-- probably safe to assume they have just as clean and well-kept restrooms. Do not go here if you don't have 30+ minutes to wait for a salad! No protein on it either. All that came out of the kitchen was 1 small pizza to go. That's it!!! Also, make sure to enjoy the fresh lemons. Makes the tea that much special. I used to enjoy the Loop, but this is the 2nd time it has been a miserable experience. Since I found this place on Yelp, I literally would have been completely informed if I had taken 5 seconds to read the info. Oh well, I like to be surprised I guess! The very polite young man at the register taking orders was kind enough to recommend the burger (with or without cheese) when I told him it was my first time in. "The pizza is ok too" he said. Well, since we came for specifically for the pizza (it's Saturday night and Saturday night is always pizza night in our family) we looked to the far right on the menu, past and burgers and salads to the pizza section. The 8 inch pizza was a great size option to get our own pizza, he likes meat, I prefer veggies, so everyone was happy tonight. The pizza was good. Ok good, not memorable good. This is the perfect place for variety, say, for example, when one person is hungry for a burger and one is hungry for pizza. We have other pizza places we prefer, so you won't likely find us here on Saturday night again. I had The Loop Pizza once, at a work function, and was not impressed. So I have avoided trying my local location of The Loop. However, I was waiting for a nail appointment in the area (Saturday around 1pm) and it was the best option. So I ventured in. The menu looked great, so much to choose from! They have salads, pizza, burgers, sandwiches and desserts. I saw people eating a little of everything while I was there. I choose the "Artichoke and Bacon" pizza (minus olives) and a side salad. I sat inside while I was waiting for my order and took advantage of the free wi-fi. I noticed several take out orders going out (lots of milkshakes!). It was just a short wait and they called my name. The server saw that my hands were full and I was wanting to sit outside, so he brought it out for me. Nice! The outdoor seating is just a few tables under the awning of the building, but on such a pretty day, I was glad to have that option. The food was delicious! I was pleased. The smallest pizza they have is an eight inch, so I had leftovers for lunch the next day. I would have loved to have a lunch special with a slice and a salad, but that wasn't an option. Prices were pretty typical of the area and the restaurant seemed fairly clean. I first heard of this place from a friend, and I've been coming for a while now! Let me start with their burgers. I always feel like my burger is cooked perfectly! I love myself a mushroom and Swiss burger cooked medium, and every time I come it's either perfect or just a tad bit over medium- which is okay. The flavor is always there and wonderful. I usually get the burger with some fries. Usually, I don't like wedges, but their fries are thick but still surprisingly a bit crispy and I love that. Now their pizza, fantastic. I have never heard the word pesto used until I saw on their menu and tried it, and it is amazing! I don't like tomato sauce much, so switching to a pesto based pizza changed my world. Now it is all I order! It's so delicious, sometimes I buy two pizzas. One for myself and one to share. The service I get at the register is average. But the manager I've met a few times, and he's always happy and so nice to his customers. If you want to have a change from your regular pizza joint or even from your favorite burger place, I recommend trying The Loop. read more

It had been a while since I had visited The Loop, so on National Cheeseburger Day, my workout buddy and I decided to come here for cheeseburgers. I was surprised by the new interior and layout of the restaurant, and I have to admit that the newness definitely looks better. We were able to order without a line and get our pagers. We did have to wait a long time for our food, but when it came out, it was freshly made and not cold. I did notice there was a funky taste, maybe from the onion or lettuce on my burger, but I couldn't pinpoint it. I ended up taking the lettuce off my burger and just eating it with the bacon, onion, and tomato. The burger was cooked perfectly and had plenty of flavor to it. read more

First I would like to say that I am pregnant. AND I am a very picky eater. However, this has nothing to do with my pregnancy hormones!! We had a group of 7 last night. 4 adults and 3 children. When we arrived we were super excited to find that children ate free last night! The restaurant was clean and the service was decent. However, the customer service from whom I am assuming was the manager....was far below expectations. I'm pretty sure he had the mushroom swiss burger with bacon and fries. I ordered the bbq bacon cheddar burger with fries, a strawberry milkshake and the Asian chicken salad to go. My friend ordered the cajun chicken sandwich, the kids had 2 pizzas and one cheeseburger. My friends husband went to the counter to let the manager know something was different about the burger he ordered. He said it tasted like the burger had a tex mex flavor to it, it did not taste like the usual burger we get from here. He also informed her that he had some orange looking grease on his plate that was not the norm either. The manager said I'm sorry about that, we do not have a tex mex seasoning. He said okay well something was different about the burger and she said I'm sorry, maybe the bbq sauce or cajun seasoning somehow got on your burger. Then he said I'm not sure but something was different. The manager said, I'm sorry I will leave a note for them. Then I told them that my burger had the same flavor, as if it had taco seasoning on it. I had orange grease running down my arm as well. And the manager said I'm sorry we don't use taco seasoning. My friends husband said it probably was the cajun seasoning from the chicken sandwich his wife ordered, maybe the chef sprinkled in onto the burgers as well. The manager just continued to say I'm sorry. Then I took at look at my salad in the to go container and noticed there was no chicken on it. When I moved the lettuce around with my fork, I found small shredded pieces of chicken. The chicken was shredded so much, it could have been considered a garnish. I went to the manager to inform her about the shredded chicken. She proceeded to tell me, this is how we always do our Asian chicken salad. I kindly shook my head and let her know that I always order this salad and there are usually thinly sliced pieces of chicken on the salad not shredded chicken that was hardly visible. She said well I can either add more chicken on top or I can remake the salad for you. I said you can just add more chicken if you would like but this is not how I usually receive the salad. Then she said, well I will just remake it for you. When she returned with my salad there were thinly sliced pieces of chicken on it as usual. We visit The Loop very often as a family and we have pretty much tried all the salads, milkshakes, burgers and pizzas so we are VERY familiar with how things typically taste and when something is different. We were not attempting to argue with this manager or be confrontational but I would think she could have been a bit more empathetic and understanding about the concern we brought to her. The rest of the food was fine and tasted good as usual but it was something about our burgers that changed. And the stomach ache that I had all last night did not help. read more

I've always liked The Loop's burgers but during my visit tonight they had a sign by the order counter which I read as $1.99 kids meals on Saturday and Kids Eat Free 4-8pm Monday. When I questioned my bill, the staff insisted the deal only applies from only 4-8pm on Saturday's not all day. We were there at 9pm so the deal "didn't apply". I may be a little bias working right next door, but this location is one of the best at being consistently Awesome! Their Cajun Jack Cheeseburger is one of my all time favorite go to items on the menu and let's not forget their fresh made pizza with that signature char on the crust that real pizza lovers enjoy. Ordered my food over the phone with Crystal for a pick up, who I later learned was the manager on that shift. She seemed like I was bothering her and was completely annoyed she was speaking to me (I didn't take it personal but I wondered how many other customers she had the same attitude with). When I got to the store to pick up my order both cashiers, one being Crystal, were on the phone, so I waited, was in no hurry. Crystal (purple top) got off the phone looked at me, didn't say a word and proceeded to have a full conversation in the BOH with another employee about how an employee called into work for their shift. That's awesome feeling. I was then helped by the other, very lovely, cashier when she finished on the phone and she made sure I had everything I needed. While I was checking my bag, Crystal thought it appropriate to say " I just want to shoot myself in the face.", which most would consider highly inappropriate. I get we all have bad days, but maybe don't let it affect how you treat the customers and maybe not be completely disrespectful.
